Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"We should," Namine agreed softly, slowly releasing Roxas so that they could do just that. She wasn't feeling sleepy at all, though. She was anxious because of the circumstances. But she knew she had to put it behind her and try to sleep; being exhausted wasn't going to help anything. It would do the opposite.
Roxas didn't let go completely, letting one of his hands lift to the side of Namine's head as he leaned forward to plant a small kiss on her forehead. He pulled back and tucked her hair behind her ear, gazing at her with eyes full of adoration. Would he have done any of this with Xion? For some reason...he didn't think so. Namine was the only one who could completely deserve his affection.

Namine felt a soft smile appear on her lips at Roxas's gestures, the blonde's blue eyes locked onto those of Roxas. Seeing the adoration in their depths made her cheeks begin to turn a light pink. It had been a while since she saw that look. But then again, it had been a while since she and Roxas had any intimacy at all.
Roxas chuckled softly at the shade of pink he saw on Namine's cheeks. He took his hand back and started toward the bed, shedding his half-jacket and then unzipping the vest underneath. He tossed them on the dresser not too far off, sitting down on the bed and beginning to take off his shoes. He was exhausted... He couldn't wait to sleep. It was even better that Namine would be there the entire night.

Namine's shoes were already off, since she had been lying on the bed earlier. As she crawled into bed this time, though, she got underneath the sheets and laid on her back. Even laying down, she didn't feel sleepy at all. She was still off with her sleep schedule because of all the running around she did, though that wasn't her reason for being awake now. It was just that her mind was still wide awake.
Roxas followed Namine's lead, getting under the covers. But instead of staying completely on his side of the bed, he scooted over to Namine's side. He let one of his arms go across her stomach, his larger hand resting on her side as he lowered himself so his head rested just below her shoulder. He could hear her heartbeat, something he knew would coax him to sleep.

Namine smiled weakly at Roxas's closeness as she lifted her arm and let it rest over Roxas's. It had been a while since he was this affectionate, and honestly, she was surprised he was like this right now when Xion still had to be on his mind. But she knew that Roxas wasn't imagining her to be Xion now. She was Namine to him, and he loved her. She didn't doubt any of that.
Roxas closed his eyes after a minute, already feeling sleep wanting to take him over. The day before, after his rush of emotions outside Disney Castle, he and Namine had gone back inside to catch up on sleep. He remembered having nightmares, which interrupted his sleep. But...he thought he would sleep well tonight. True, he was still upset, but...he could reflect on the past once the future was set in stone. They had a battle to prepare for. Survival came before sorrow.

Namine started running her fingers over Roxas's arm lightly, her eyes falling shut. She could tell that he was drifting off to sleep already, which she was glad for. She wanted what was best for him, always. No fight between them could ever change that.
Namine's small rubbing acted as a lullaby, luring Roxas to sleep even more quickly than normal. He released one final, conscious breath, his body relaxing even more. With that, he entered a dreamless sleep, cuddled up to Namine's side.

The next day

Sora was asleep on one of the couches, the room silent so that nobody disrupted his sleep. He couldn't afford to wake up, not right now. Not as Namine paged through his memories to try and solve the problem he had lately with the flashes of data. Upon telling Ansem the Wise about them, the man explained that he put the data inside Sora, but he didn't know why they were appearing in such a disruptive, harmful way. That was why he and Namine were in the room with him, the man supervising (and critiquing) Namine as she tried to find a way to fix all this. Of course, Roxas and Kairi were in the room too; Kairi didn't want to miss this, and Roxas didn't want to be separated from Namine.

Kairi stood beside Roxas, her back pressed against the wall in the room as she gazed at her fiance. She wasn't necessarily worried over his safety, since she trusted Namine so much and knew that he was just sleeping. But...she didn't like that the reason for his alarming visions were unknown, even by Ansem the Wise. She was feeling a little better today, after nearly dying herself, but she was going to be with Sora regardless of how she felt.

"Are you sure that you're not missing any details?" Ansem the Wise asked as he hovered behind Namine's shoulder. He asked that question multiple times, and his tone came off as harsh even if he didn't mean it to be. His prejudice against Nobodies was not something that he was consciously aware of anymore; he thought he disposed of the negative prejudice, but apparently not.

"I'm sure," Namine said, the blonde biting her lip because of Ansem's tone. She wasn't seeing anything out of the ordinary in Sora's memories, despite Ansem's insistence that it was there. It wasn't in the memories that she was paging through. She needed time to go into some of his deeper memories to see what the problem was...and Ansem not critiquing her ever two minutes and accusing her of doing anything wrong.

"Ansem," Roxas called then, his arms crossed as his eyebrows furrowed. "Could you give her some space?" He didn't give the man the respect Ansem believed he deserved. Ansem was cruel to both Roxas and Namine in the past; while Namine was quieter and more respectful, Roxas didn't care.

Namine glanced back, seeing Ansem also look at Roxas before looking back down at her. Catching the hint, he took a few steps away. While Namine didn't have time to show Roxas her gratitude, she was sure that he recognized it. She looked back down at the sketchbook in her hand, mentally connecting to Sora again and gazing at his memories without interfering with them. She was trying to find anything that could connect to the Organization...And after a few minutes, she thought she saw something. A memory that certainly wasn't a part of Sora's past. It was Xemnas, on Ansem's computer in Twilight Town while Sora was still asleep. He...corrupted the program that Ansem put into Sora's mind!
Roxas rolled his eyes once Ansem stepped away, shaking his head and looking over to the side. Finally, the man wasn't hovering over Namine's shoulder. After the way he treated her in the past, Roxas wasn't too fond of him. At least now he knew who he was messing with.

"My apologies," Ansem the Wise said after a few minutes of silence, speaking to both Roxas and Namine. He was not used to being the one who stood by while somebody else did the work, especially not a Nobody. He realized that Roxas and Namine were unique, but he still held a little prejudice because of those in the Organization.

"Sir," Namine called, still being respectful even if he wasn't a few minutes ago. "I found a memory...and it isn't Sora's. It's a part of the program, and..." She didn't know how to say it gently, so she would just say it. "...Xemnas sabotaged your program while you were away from your computer." That was why Sora wasn't naturally receiving the data. Xemnas changed the program so the recovery of the data would be painful and random.

Roxas blinked, his eyebrows furrowing as he looked at Namine. "Xemnas?" he said, surprised...but at the same time, he wasn't. Figures...he thought, frowning. Xemnas would do anything he could to sabotage any of their progress. This was clearly it.

"He must have done it almost right before Sora woke up so many years ago," Ansem the Wise realized, shaking his head. That was the only way that Xemnas could have altered the program without him realizing it. "...What's the damage?"

"...I can't tell specifically how he altered your program, except that he delayed the program so Sora just recently started receiving the data," Namine said, looking down at her sketchpad. "But Sora also said that he was hallucinating and seeing the Organization when they weren't really there...Was that a part of the program?" She looked back, seeing Ansem the Wise frown and shake his head. So that was another thing Xemnas caused to hurt Sora.

"...Xemnas was actually alerting us to a future battle," Kairi realized, speaking softly and mostly to herself. When Sora saw the Organization members, it wasn't a part of the program Ansem created. Xemnas did it, which meant he wasn't only hurting Sora by doing it, but also alerting everyone to who was coming back. In a way, the man helped them.
  • Author

"Yes, he was," Ansem said aloud. "He either believed that it wouldn't matter if any of you knew, or he believed that you would classify Sora as not being in his right mind and remove him from battle. I heard that he and Xehanort's other counterparts were attempting to separate you all." That fit the bill. Perfectly. But it failed, because Sora was able to piece together the data he received and realize that the Organization was back.

Kairi pushed herself away from the wall. "He clearly doesn't give Sora enough credit," she stated, eyebrows furrowing slightly as she approached her future husband. How stupid did Xemnas think Sora was? If anything, he should have known better than to underestimate him.

Ansem the Wise faintly shook his head, turning to look at Kairi. "...I think you underestimate the damage that Xemnas did through my altered program," he said gently, shifting his gaze back to the sleeping Sora. This could have very nearly destroyed his mind. It could have even begun altering memories of his past if that was a part of the virus. If Kairi hadn't been traveling with him, he would have lost himself. Her Light preserved him.

Kairi stopped next to Sora, bending over as she gazed at him. But then she turned her head to look at Ansem. "What do you mean?" she asked. Underestimate? The "program" was bad enough. What did she have to underestimate?
  • Author

"I sense that there was another part of the program that would have done severe damage, had you not traveled with him," Ansem the Wise explained to Kairi. She had told him that Sora was acting unlike himself when she met up with him for the first time, and that only reinforced what Ansem already suspected. "I believe that with the program, Xemnas meant to overwrite Sora's memories with data and make him lose himself. The process had started when you found him, but when you begun traveling with him, the process halted." They had narrowly avoided catastrophe.
