Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

At the sound, Riku's hands lifted from Lightning's form, not sure what he touched to hurt her. He looked down at Lightning, eyes soft with worry. "You're hurt..." he whispered in recognition, pointing out the obvious. But then his gaze fell on Kain, his eyes narrowing in disgust. "You didn't heal her?" he said in outrage. Was Kain blind to her injuries?

"There wasn't much time to," Kain said in his own defense. As soon as he got her here, he was hoping to take her to the portal and go through. He planned on healing her once she had no choice but to stay with him and see that his words were truth. But she awoke before that, and argued with him since that time. Riku had no right to complain anyway; Kain saved her life.
Riku rolled his eyes, but he wordlessly reached into one of his pockets and grabbed a hi-potion, tossing it into the air above Lightning's head. It shattered naturally, its contents raining down on her. Idiot, he thought of Kain. There was no time to heal her? He was too busy arguing with her to be considerate enough.

Lightning felt the curing spell wash over her immediately, the pain of the attack vanishing. She exhaled a soft breath, opening her eyes and looking up at Riku before she turned her head and looked over at Kain. Her eyebrows furrowed automatically, and though she was afraid of the things he said, she didn't cower behind Riku or the person who came with him. She was surprised to see Master Eraqus, but she was also a little glad. He survived the fight.
Riku followed Lightning's gaze to Kain, though his stare was far from friendly. He eyed the man that still wore his armor, scanning him before he located his half-hidden face again. "...As great as a reunion this was," he replied, heavy sarcasm in his voice, "Master Eraqus would like to speak with you." He let his eyes find Lightning then, though they still held anger. This whole situation was ugly, but at least the war was over.

Lightning glanced up at Riku before looking behind him, nodding slightly to him as she took a step or two away from him towards the Keyblade Master. She lifted a hand and tucked back some of her pink hair, uncertain about Master Eraqus. He was never friendly towards her in the past, and she wasn't overly kind with him either. She wasn't sure what he would say now.
Master Eraqus saw Lightning approach him, and once she was close enough, he began. "There are some things I must tell you about Vanitas and what nearly happened to me back in the battle," he started quietly. He wasn't proud of himself for allowing Lightning to get hurt; it was supposed to be him that felt the blow.

Lightning felt curious at Master Eraqus's soft-spoken words, which had absolutely no bite behind them. "What is it?" she asked softly, stopping in front of him. She didn't think there was too much to talk about; Vanitas had been about to strike him down, but Lightning got in the way. It didn't get much simpler than that.
"I neglected to tell anyone of a premonition I had a while back," Eraqus revealed, his words remaining soft. He was ashamed, really, since someone got hurt because of him. "I saw myself being struck down by Vanitas's blade, but nowhere in that vision did I see you interfere. Needless to say, I feel that I'm responsible for your injury." He nodded slightly, his dark eyes on Lightning's blue ones. "For that, I apologize. I never intended for you or any of the others to get hurt at my expense."

Lightning shook her head softly, looking up and meeting Master Eraqus's eyes. "Premonition or not, it doesn't change anything," she said quietly. "I stepped in because I wanted to." Whether he saw the attack coming or not, he wasn't responsible for anything, especially not her injury. She was the one who shoved him away; it was her choice to save his life.
Looking at Lightning now, Eraqus was well aware that he wouldn't be able to sway her judgement of the situation. "In that case, I thank you," he replied with the smallest of nods. "I'm in your debt." They never truly got along in the past, but despite that, they set aside their differences to make sure the other came out alive. Eraqus would keep that in mind for the future.

"Don't worry about it," Lightning responded, shaking her head. "You don't owe me anything." She didn't save him hoping for something in return. She did it because it was the right thing to do. And besides, she didn't want Ven losing somebody else who was so important to him. Especially not to Vanitas.
Eraqus didn't entirely agree to that, but he nodded a third time. "As you wish," he said quietly. He would let his debt to her dissolve for now, but if the time came for him to repay her, he would.

Lightning took a small step away, so that she could see both Riku and Master Eraqus. "What happened?" she asked, referring to the battle. Did she make the right call? Did her plan work? Or did they lose the fight? She sincerely hoped it wasn't the last one; she worked so hard to try and preserve as many lives as she could...
"Everyone but Xehanort is toast," Riku replied, arms crossed over his broad chest. "Terra was having an internal battle with him when Master Eraqus and I left the others." He should be alright, but Riku never really knew Terra's destiny. True, everyone had faith in the brunet, but it was up to him what exactly happened. Riku, as well as the others, just prayed that he would come out of this as himself.

Since Riku didn't bring anything up about their allies, Light knew that they were okay. She nodded faintly, glancing down at Riku's chest as she felt relieved. So, it worked then. It really worked... All the stress that went into planning was worth it. The war would be over just as soon as Terra finished off Master Xehanort. We should probably head back and check on that situation.
Riku caught the look on Lightning's face, and he tilted his head slightly. "You want to go back?" he asked then. If she wanted to see how the others were doing, he would take her. Riku was wanting to check on Terra, since he was the one everyone was concerned about the most. His battle decided their future, really.

Lightning looked up at Riku's face, nodding faintly as she met his aqua eyes. "Yeah, let's go back," she said. There was no point staying here, where Kain wanted her to be. She looked over and behind Riku, seeing that he was standing closer than he was before. What, did he plan on coming over here while she was distracted and drag her away? It wasn't going to happen.

"Lightning, I still wish to speak to you," Kain said, taking a step closer to her and her comrades. There was still much to discuss. As soon as she was ready to recognize her past, he was ready to speak to her more. She needed to know the truth.

"There's no time for that," Riku said, eyebrows furrowing as he glanced over at Kain. "One of our friends could possibly be dying. Your conversation can wait." He then started toward Lightning, his arms falling to his sides. She was ready to go, and he was going to take her, despite what Kain said.

Kain's eyebrows furrowed as he looked at Lightning. "Since when have you let somebody control what you do?" he asked her, receiving a stunned look before her eyes narrowed in a glare. He knew it was a jab he shouldn't have done, but he was growing desperate. He needed Lightning to remember her past. ...He needed her to remember him, and what they had.
Riku blinked at the words, stopping where he was and turning around to glare at Kain. What did you just say? he thought, his jaw flexing as he fought to open his mouth. Riku wasn't controlling her; he was granting her wish of returning to their friends. Besides, Lightning proved in the past that no one controlled her; only she decided what she did with her life.

Lightning glared at Kain for a few moments, seeing how he was disregarding Riku. "...I'm not gullible enough to fall for that trick," she said with narrowed eyes. "If I stay, it'll be because you guilt-tripped me into it and forced me to. Nice try." She stepped forward, grasping Riku's hand as she looked up at his taller height. Let's get out of here.
Riku's glare remained on Kain for one more moment before he looked down at Lightning, his fingers curling around her smaller hand. When he read the look in her eyes, he silently nodded. He lifted his free hand to knock the button on his armguard, his armor being summoned at that moment. "Master Eraqus," he said once he was ready. It was time for them to go.

Kain watched the Keyblade wielders and Lightning for a few moments before he took his leave. He leaped up into the air and vanished, going back to the Keyblade Graveyard to check on the state of his fellow warriors. Though he regretted leaving them in the middle of the battle, he did what was necessary to save Lightning's life. That alone made it worth it.

Keyblade Graveyard

Aqua was on her knees outside the shield that surrounded Terra, her eyes resting on his still figure. "Come on, Terra," she begged softly. Come back to us. It had been almost an hour since he allowed Xehanort to enter his heart, and yet nothing changed, at least on the outside. She supposed that was good; it meant the man she loved was fighting back after all this time. He was strong, she knew that. Terra was only supporting her knowledge with his actions now.
