Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light shook her head, standing up and walking over to Riku. She stood in front of him, lifting a hand to his cheek. "He'll get a clue and back off soon enough," she said softly, looking up at him. She would tell him off, she just...needed a little bit of time, to figure out just how deep things were between them. She needed to know what she was throwing away.
"Doubtful," Riku commented, opening his eyes and gazing at the person he loved. "When guys want you, Light, they'll do everything to have you." He looked away, his eyes finding the window nearby. "Trust me, I would know," he mumbled. He was in that boat once, having held feelings toward Lightning in the very beginning. He fell in love with her, and there was no going back after that. It had to be the same for Kain.

Lightning arched a brow in confusion. "You're the only guy to have wanted me," she pointed out. Other than Kain, obviously. She had never been pursued by any man before, so why was Riku assuming that every guy who wanted her would be head over heels in love with her? She wasn't that lovable, in all honesty.
"Clearly not," Riku said, avoiding eye contact as he frowned. Kain wanted Lightning, and if she misunderstood what he meant by what he said, he would have to clear it up. She was someone that didn't come around often, so when a guy noticed her, he latched on. That was what Riku imagined to happen, anyway, since that was what happened to him.

"Excluding him," Lightning said, lowering her hand off Riku's cheek. "Don't worry, Riku. I can be pretty unlovable. Kain'll discover that soon enough." She had a temper, she pushed people around, she took people for granted...She didn't like these things about herself, but she would do what she had to in order to push Kain away. She didn't love him.
Riku didn't say anything, though he did close his eyes and lightly shake his head. If Riku stuck around, who was to say Kain wouldn't do the same? Besides, he knew Lightning before Riku did, at least on a more personal level. If they were interested in each other in the past, why wouldn't Light feel anything now?

"...Have faith in me, Riku," Light said softly after a few moments, setting a hand on Riku's shoulder. "Whatever I had with him, it can't possibly be as good as what we have now. I love you..." Nobody else. Even if I did grow to love Kain again, I'd always love you more. You're the one I'm meant to be with.
Riku opened his eyes and allowed eye contact between him and Lightning, able to recognize how sincere she was just by gazing into her blue eyes. "I love you too..." he whispered, lifting a hand to sit on Lightning's waist. He knew he couldn't live without her; if he didn't fight for her, he would lose himself again. It wasn't comforting, but he did depend on Lightning to keep him sane. She was his Light in a life threatened by Darkness.

Light leaned up, giving Riku a kiss on the cheek before returning to her previous position. "Let's just relax for a little while, okay?" she asked, glancing at her living room. They could pop in a movie or something, since it wasn't time for bed yet. Watching movies and just being lazy was something that they could do now that they were allowed to live more normal lives.
"Mm," Riku hummed softly, though he was still lost in thought. If they did anything, he wouldn't cooperate wholeheartedly. He felt...threatened by Kain, which was bad. Riku hardly ever felt threatened by anyone unless they were from the Darkness. But...Kain was from the Twilight, and he loved Lightning...just like Riku did. That wasn't okay.

Lightning could tell that Riku would be distracted, but it couldn't have been helped. She knew he'd get over it eventually though. She stepped away and entered the living room again, laying down on her side against the back of the couch as she waited for Riku to lay down in front of her. She wanted to cuddle.
Riku's hand naturally fell back to his side when Lightning stepped away, and his eyes trailed her as she lay down on the couch. He knew what she wanted, and he wouldn't hesitate joining her for that. He pushed himself away from the wall and approached the couch. He then rested beside her, his head resting on the armrest slightly so he could look down at the person he loved. Kain ruined their homecoming, unfortunately, but Riku would still try to make it better.

Lightning wrapped an arm over Riku's waist, the young woman coming a little closer and snuggling her face against his chest as she shut her eyes. She exhaled a soft breath, used to the feeling of Riku being in her arms. Even with what Kain said, she couldn't imagine the two of them having intimate moments like this. Kain seemed too...stoic.
Riku lifted one hand, bringing it to Lightning's face as he lightly ran his fingertips over her cheek. At the same time, he brushed her bangs away from her face. But his gaze on her was gentle. He knew that he didn't want to lose her; he couldn't. He just hoped she didn't decide that Kain was a better suitor.

Lightning felt Riku's soft fingers run over her cheek, the sensation making her feel warm. And happy. "Imagine what life can be like now that you have less obligation," she whispered to him, a small smile appearing on his lips. They could be more like a normal couple, not always fearing for each other's life. They could be happy for a very long time with no major interference.
"Mm," Riku hummed, letting his fingers ghost over Lightning's skin. "Better." A lot better, now that he had some free time. Things would be okay, as long as he made them that way. Destiny never truly liked him, so he had to shape his own path and make the outcome the result he wanted. It was that simple, but also very complicated.

"Much better," Lightning corrected softly, gripping the back of Riku's shirt. She was looking forward to living a life that didn't revolve around fighting, though she planned on staying strong. Or even growing stronger. She had time to fool around with these new powers, so she would do just that.
Riku closed his eyes, smiling ever so slightly at the emphasis. He hoped so, but it was only going to happen if they made it that way. He and Lightning could relax, but sometimes they would have to fight for their happiness. It was just the way the real world worked, but he was willing to face it, as long as she was next to him.

Lightning exhaled a soft breath, releasing Riku's shirt as she started running her fingertips over his back. They had a few brief moments of peace recently, but this time, it was different. There weren't any physical battles within sight. The war was over, and their lives could finally continue.
Riku lost himself in Lightning's small caressing for a little while, but then he leaned forward, connecting his lips to hers. The last time he kissed her was a few days before the fight, or at least, one that was more than a small peck. He was proud of her for her hard work in the latest battle, and for her strength. He never asked for a lover, but he got one...and she was a warrior.

Light tilted her chin up, her eyes already shut as she kissed Riku back. Her hand stopped in the middle of his back, though she wondered where this kiss came from. It was fairly random, but it showed no signs of desperation, so she believed that Kain was off his mind by now. She was glad for that, since Riku had no reason to be jealous or worried. He already had her heart.
Riku pulled back after a moment, letting his forehead rest on Lightning's as he exhaled a soft breath. Love you, he thought in silence, his hand resting on her cheek. He didn't think he could ever fall out of love with Lightning; he was in too deep.

Lightning kept her forehead against Riku's, though she lightly touched his nose with her own a few times before she became still again. All that she wanted was to live life with Riku by her side. She came to the realization that she wanted to marry him a long time ago, but...She didn't feel like she should be the one to propose. Riku probably would have been upset with her if she proposed and he didn't.
Riku couldn't help but smirk at the eskimo kisses he received, pecking Lightning gently on the lips as a thank you for the affection. He then pulled back, though he kept his forehead against hers. He never knew he could feel so satisfied just lying around with someone, but Lightning proved him wrong in that aspect.

Not yet, Lightning thought, referring to Riku pulling away. She didn't want that just yet. She leaned forward and connected her lips to his in a kiss again, her hand gripping the back of his shirt. She couldn't get much closer than she already was, but that was what she wanted. She loved Riku with all her heart, and she missed him so much lately, even if they had been together. They hadn't been together like this.
