Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku grunted weakly in surprise, his eyebrows furrowing at the sudden kiss. But he didn't reject it; he welcomed it. His hand moved from Lightning's cheek to her hair, grabbing a fistful in silence. How could he say no to a gesture like that?

Light didn't pull back from the kiss, her hand gripping Riku's shirt more tightly when he grabbed a hold of her hair. Of course it didn't hurt; Riku would never do anything stupid to hurt her. He was always careful not to cause any harm, though they were forced to battle a little while ago when he was possessed. That was something she didn't want to remember.
Riku added slight pressure to the kiss, but it wasn't out of desperation; it was out of love, and the need to be close to Lightning. He thought he lost her a little while ago, when she sacrificed herself for Master Eraqus. It wasn't something he was comfortable thinking about, but it was who Lightning was, and he loved that person. That was what mattered.

Light eventually pulled back from the kiss, needing a breath. She took one in, her grasp on Riku's shirt slowly loosening. Now that she thought about it, she was pretty tired. It was just past sunset, but they had been fighting for hours earlier that day. Except that she had been unconscious for a while, because of Vanitas and his attack...She hoped that she didn't have a scar from that. It was a pretty brutal attack.
Riku kept his eyes closed even when the affection was mostly over, though he kept his hand in Lightning's hair, having a light hold on it. It was soft in his hands but slightly tangled from the battle they underwent not too long ago. He found Lightning attractive even when she was dirty and scratched up from fighting; he loved her too much to think lowly of her at any time, really. The young man released a small breath, relaxing into the couch. There had been so much stress lately, and he was glad it was over. Well...most of it.

A Few Days Later

Ven stood inside the large banquet hall along with his friends, the teen wearing dark brown pants with a lighter green button-down shirt. He wasn't one for dressing up much, but what guy was? Of course, he didn't mind doing it for the occasion. Kairi came up with the idea that they should have a ball, to separate everything that happened lately. Not only with the defeat of Xehanort, his remnants, Vanitas, and the returning Organization, but also the promotion of a few of them to Masters. It was reason to celebrate, so they all agreed. Ven hoped that the other Keyblade wielders would also show up, though; this hall was much too big for just his group of friends. They'll come, he thought, having faith in their new allies. They will.

Roxas stood next to Namine, who--as always--looked absolutely stunning in her dress. Sometimes he could hardly keep his eyes off her, but he had to, in order to keep on with the conversation that was going on. Riku was poking fun at Kairi, who came up with this idea...when no one was even here. "Sheesh, Kairi," he said, playing along. "We could have done something like this somewhere a little, you know, smaller?" He smirked at her, earning a whack on the shoulder. "Ow!"

Kairi placed the hand she used to hit Roxas on her hip, touching the soft fabric of her white gown. The air was cold in here, but just slightly, so it didn't bother her bare shoulder much, her dress being held up by one shoulder strap. The gown hugged her figure, but she wasn't ashamed of it; she was perfectly comfortable in her own skin. "Hey, we invited the other Keybladers too," she reasoned, tucking a piece of her wavy hair behind her ear. "It's not my fault they're late."

"Yeah, Roxas," Namine agreed, her voice playfully scolding as she lifted her hand and whacked Roxas's shoulder closest to her. "I for one agree that Kairi's idea was terrific. It wouldn't be right if we were the only ones celebrating." She lowered her hand back down to her side, her strapless gown fairly simple. It was a deep purple, plum colored, with a little bit of gathering by her waist. Other than that, it was silky smooth. Lightning's gown was similar, only it was a royal blue and had a shoulder strap. This was the first time she saw the soldier get dressed up, though she had to admit that she cleaned up well. Surely Riku agreed.
Roxas jumped again when he got hit, lifting his hand and rubbing that shoulder instead. "Would you two quit smacking me? I was just kidding!" he said in his own defense, though he noticed Kairi only shook her head, the smile on her face proving she was clearly amused. Nobody was here other than the three of them, Riku, Lightning, Sora, Terra, Ventus, Master Eraqus, and Aqua. In other words, the group. No other warriors had entered through the doors.

"I dunno...this is kinda amusing," Namine said with a smirk. She didn't lift her hand again though, knowing that she had no reason to hit Roxas. He was behaving himself, for the most part. Normally it was Sora getting into trouble by saying something that could have been taken wrong, but he was letting Roxas fill that role tonight. Sora probably didn't want to get hit too.
Riku had his arms crossed over his chest, shaking his head as he closed his eyes, having watched Roxas get abused for his comments. It was entertaining, but it could only do so much, unfortunately. At least the guy knew how to clean up; he had on black pants and a black dress shirt, with a plum-colored tie to match Namine's dress. Clearly she pushed him to match her, but Riku was doing the same thing with Lightning. His shirt was white and his pants black, his tie instead the same shade as her dress. Riku kind of wanted people to know they were together, especially Kain.

Lightning looked up at the doorway, just in time to see people coming in. They weren't just random strangers. Having seen many of their faces from past meetings, Lightning knew that these were the other Keyblade warriors. Towards the front of the group, ever the leader, was Kain Highwind. She blinked a little in surprise when she saw his face, which was handsome. His blond hair was tied back, and he wore a black suit with a white shirt and black tie. But she recognized his face; it wasn't new to her. By now, she had come to accept everything that he told her. Including the fact that they were interested in each other in another life.
Aqua, her arm wrapped around Terra's back as she stood close to him, let her eyes find the doorway. She recognized many of the faces that belonged to her allies, and she smiled softly. "We should welcome them," she voiced softly. They were joining them for a celebration--it was for victory, and their new ranks, but only to her friends. The others may have known, and hopefully some would be kind enough to congratulate them, but until then, they could just have fun. Aqua was ready for it, donning a one-shoulder, little black dress that hugged her figure nicely, a flowy sleeve covering her upper arm. It was comfortable and a little different, something she embraced.

Sora nodded in agreement, and since he was one of the most talkative members of the group, he walked towards the newcomers. Not far behind him, Ven also came along. He met with the group halfway and greeted them, starting to talk to them casually. That was something he was always good at, making friends with every person who wasn't his enemy.
Riku uncrossed his arms and eyed one specific member of the larger group, and that was Kain. Make a move on her and you're mine, he silently warned the man, his eyes turning hard as they locked onto him. Riku wasn't going to let Kain ruin his relationship with Lightning; he wouldn't let anybody do that.

Lightning watched as Namine also started over towards the large group, which was starting to spread out and fill the area on their own. Apparently they didn't need guidance to do what they were meant to do, and that was mingle and enjoy each other's company. She was glad to see some things naturally fall into place for a change. As all of her other friends except for her and Riku spoke to the group, she felt a pair of eyes on her. Her eyes immediately locked onto Kain's again, seeing him glance over at her and make eye contact. I know, she thought silently. You want to talk more. ...I do too.
Riku saw Kain looking in his and Lightning's direction, and the silver-haired boy turned his head to gaze at the woman he loved...only to see her staring back at Kain. Riku fought the urge to roll his eyes, instead allowing his hands to ball into fists. He didn't like this...at all, but Lightning would do what she wanted. And right now, it seemed like she didn't want to be with Riku; she wanted to be with Kain.

When Kain was distracted by Sora, Lightning tore her gaze away from him and looked up at Riku. Of course he was tense; he thought Kain could take Light away from him. But that wasn't going to happen. "Relax," she said gently, lifting a hand and setting it on his arm. "You've got nothing to worry about." Kain couldn't measure up to Riku.
Riku gazed at Lightning for a moment, feeling her gentle touch on his arm and wanting nothing more than to wrap his arm around her shoulders and keep her at his side all night. But...he couldn't do that; she wouldn't let him control her, and he didn't really want to be the controlling type. But...the way she was just looking at Kain didn't settle his worries, and made him think her words were just to get him to forget about it, and not feel better. He nodded slightly, turning his head to look over the people that were in the middle of the room, some music already beginning to play.

Light could tell that Riku was still worried, and that made her frown. "...Don't you trust me?" she couldn't help but ask, her voice soft. She didn't want to argue with Riku here, but she meant what she said. He didn't have to worry about her running off to Kain. She did want to speak to him tonight about their past, but it wasn't to rekindle any lost flames. It would be to put it to rest.
"...I don't trust him," Riku admitted. It was Kain he was mostly worried about, but a part of him did doubt Lightning. He didn't like it, but it was the way he felt. He was that way for a reason, and it wasn't because he was overly concerned about the situation.

"Don't worry about it," Lightning said again, running her hand over Riku's arm briefly. There wasn't going to be a one-sided relationship here. Tonight, she and Kain would sort out their past and put it behind them. Kain was persistent, but no amount of persistence could take Light away from Riku.
Riku nodded slightly, leaning over and giving Lightning a kiss in her pink hair. He held it for a moment before pulling back, looking down at her. "...I love you," he told her, speaking over the louder music. He didn't want her to forget that, ever.
  • Author
"I love you too," Light responded, giving Riku's arm a gentle squeeze before her hand came back down to her side. I always will. Maybe she and Kain did share something in the past, but that was where their relationship was going to stay. Now that she knew Riku, she knew that she didn't want anybody else as her life partner. She wanted Riku to be the one by her side, nobody else.
Riku smiled ever so slightly, gazing at Lightning for another moment before he heard Kairi calling him, his sensitive ears picking up on the lighter voice. He turned his head, lifting his eyebrows in question before he started over toward her. If Lightning needed to talk to Kain, she could; Riku couldn't really stop her.
