Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

"Mm," Riku hummed softly. I know. He was glad that was out of the way, since he had other things to worry about. Light's safety, for instance. The Goddess Etro wanted her to fight in a war...but why Lightning?

Light looked over at Riku, and upon seeing his expression, she acted on impulse. She grabbed his hand and stood up, standing in front of him as she continued holding his hand. "C'mon," she said, giving him a light tug. ...Dance with me. Riku hadn't danced with her once tonight, and the last time they danced...it was Serah's wedding. That felt like a lifetime ago.
Riku smirked instantly, his eyes moving from the hand holding his to Lightning's face. "You want to dance?" He lifted an eyebrow. "That's a first. Thanks for giving me the honor." He rose to his feet, his fingers curling around Lightning's as he looked down at her shorter height. It was about time he got to dance with his girlfriend.

"It's not exactly a first," Lightning said, rolling her eyes as she stood in place. "Serah's wedding, remember?" If he forgot that, then she would kick his butt. That day was really special to her. It was hard to hand her sister off to Snow, but Riku actually made the day...happy. And Serah's scheming with the photographer...That was actually a part of what made the day so special.
"Yeah, I remember," Riku said, taking initiative and starting to lead Lightning towards the floor. "But it's the first time in a long time." That was what he meant, and she was actually taking the first step and asking him. That was new.

"I'll blame you for that," Lightning said with a small smirk, letting Riku lead her. "I can't be seen planning cheesy stuff like that. I've got a reputation to uphold, you know." She was a soldier, and while Riku was a "tough-guy", he already ruined that image by dating somebody and becoming a sap for her. She was a sap too, but she felt like she was still carrying her old reputation around of being tough and not sappy.
Riku couldn't help but chuckle, turning once he found a free spot for the two of them. He kept hold of Lightning's hand and lifted the other to her waist, pulling her closer gently. "You just want to be on the receiving end," he said then, smirking. Women always wanted to receive things, not give them; that was the men's job, or it was the last time Riku checked.

Lightning rolled her eyes, setting a hand on Riku's shoulder. "Yeah right," she said simply. Giving and receiving had nothing to do with this. If anything, her love for Riku made her want to give him everything she could. Love had a way of making people unselfish.
Riku hummed softly in amusement, looking down at Lightning for a moment before he let his eyes rest on the area behind her. He wasn't really seeing anything, though; he was imagining the future. A future where he slid a ring on Lightning's finger and said "I do."

Seeing Riku discontinue the banter, Lightning found it fitting that she did the same. She looked behind Riku, seeing all the couples dancing. Her teasing smile faded, a look of seriousness replacing it. But it wasn't a bad serious. She was thinking about Riku. ...If he didn't propose soon, she would have to start dropping hints to him. Though she wasn't bold enough to admit it, Riku was the one that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
Riku would have to do something special in order to get that vision to become reality. He wasn't sure what just yet, but he figured he could ask Sora for some help. His friend did set the bar high for proposals; as always, Riku was competitive, even in that. But most importantly, he wanted it to be special for Lightning. She deserved the best, especially from him.

Light tightened her grip on Riku's shoulder, looking down towards his chest. But if the future's anything like Kain thinks it'll be, I won't be here. I won't be with Riku... That was what scared her, not death. It was not being able to live that she was afraid of. Now that she finally got a grasp on what it meant to live and not just survive, she didn't want to lose that. Or the person who taught that lesson to her.
Riku misinterpreted the small change in the grasp on his shoulder, bringing Lightning closer as he ducked his chin to be closer to her. His head rested next to hers as they moved to the music, the smallest of smiles on his face. Marriage... It wasn't something he ever saw himself doing before Lightning came along. That was what made the difference. She changed him...for the better.

Lightning exhaled a soft breath when Riku brought her closer, the soldier shutting her eyes as she turned her head and lightly had her face against the side of Riku's. I won't lose you that easily, she vowed silently. You've taught me so much, but I'm still learning. You gotta keep showing me what it means to live and love, alright? Even if Riku couldn't hear her questions, she knew he would continue teaching her. That's what he had been doing from the start without even knowing it.
Riku let his hand move over Lightning's waist to sit on her lower back, keeping close contact. He spent so much time with her, but he never truly got enough. That was how he knew he was ready for a future with her; he adored her, and that was saying something. Riku used to be the person who only had friends, not girlfriends. Lightning changed him through that, and he didn't want to go back.

Ven watched the dancing from the sidelines, this being a slow dance that he wasn't a part of. That was alright with him; he didn't have a special girl to share it with yet. But when he met the girl he was meant to spend his life with, he'd know it. Until then, he'd just be patient. Eventually, he could have a dance partner.
Aqua had her head tucked underneath Terra's chin, the two of them moving gently with the music. Three slow songs in a row was nice; it gave everyone time to be close again. She especially wanted to be close with the man she loved; she was so proud of him for finally overcoming his demons and using his Darkness for good. She knew he could do it.

Terra had his arms wrapped around Aqua, and since her head was right under his chin, he didn't move out of fear of bumping her. He didn't want anything to ruin this. He remembered the last time he and Aqua were at a dance, they weren't a couple. But they still showed off their dance skills and got every single person to watch them dance. That had been fun, though he wouldn't dream of doing that again now. Tonight was different. More romantic and intimate.
Aqua let her eyes stay closed, a small breath leaving her in comfort. She was sure that if they weren't in public, she could fall asleep like this. She felt safe and secure in Terra's arms, something she loved and appreciated greatly. And he was actually dancing with her without refusal; she remembered that she barely saved him from a girl the last time, which was the reason he danced with her in th first place. That had been the night she started realizing her true feelings for him, a night she would always remember.

Terra leaned down and gave Aqua a kiss on the top of her hair, staying silent once the action was done and he was in his previous position. There weren't things to say, really. Both of them were just so relieved that Xehanort's shadow was no longer cast on their lives. Finally, they could have some peace.
Aqua smiled slightly at the show of affection, her arms wrapped around Terra's back. She held him a little tighter at the kiss, just being with him. It was enough. But, there was something she wished to say. "...I'm proud of you," she told him, voice soft like the music playing around them. She had said it before, but she wanted to say it again because she really meant it. Terra saved them all from the Darkness by using his own to defeat Xehanort. That was true strength. He deserved to be Keyblade Master after that accomplishment.

Terra felt himself smile softly, his eyes remaining shut. "Thanks," he said softly, continuing to hold and dance with Aqua. He was proud of himself too. He finally stood up for himself and fought in the battle, even if every other person tried to stop him. And Master Eraqus still accepted him; that was a relief. Now, he felt like he earned his Master's forgiveness.
Aqua hummed softly, still smiling. "You deserve to hear it," she replied. How couldn't Terra deserve the recognition? He was so strong, and brave. His courage was admirable. Aqua had been so scared for him...that he would come out of it as Xehanort again. That was the worst feeling in the world.

Terra hummed softly, a small smile still on his face. He didn't know how else to respond. He accomplished two huge things in a day: defeating Xehanort, and becoming a Master. He was proud of both things, but mostly, he was proud of himself. Of course, he was proud of Aqua too. She fought hard that day as well.
Aqua opened her eyes at the hum, having heard it in Terra's chest from her position. Just across the way, she saw all of her friends dancing--Roxas and Namine, Sora and Kairi, and Riku and Lightning. It was nice that everyone was together and enjoying themselves. She couldn't think of anything better at that moment.
