Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The waves washed Sora in gently towards the mainland, the teen's body gently sliding in the sand as he laid on his back. He heard a lot of voices nearby as he regained consciousness, though none of those voices was the one that he was intimately familiar with. Where was he, and where was Kairi?
Kairi was front and center on the beach, her eyes on her fiance when she found him. "Sora..." she whispered with a smile. She traveled across the sand quickly and stepped into the water, not caring if she got her dress wet and ruined it with seawater. Her steps sloshed the water around as she went to stand beside the man she loved, looking down at him as she put her hands on her knees. "....Sora."

"Kairi?" Sora murmured, lifting a hand to his head as his eyebrows furrowed. He felt a little beat up, both from the explosion and from the battles he fought with Xemnas and Ansem. But instead of asking her what exactly happened and if everyone was okay, he had another question on the tip of his tongue. "...You're gonna force me into shopping for nice clothes now that this outfit is ruined, aren't you?" He opened his big blue eyes and looked up at her, his eyes locking onto hers immediately as the smallest of smiles formed on his face.
Kairi giggled instantly, her lips spreading into a gleeful smile. She then sank to her knees in the water, wrapping her arms around Sora's neck as the tide pulled back. He was okay... She couldn't have been any more relieved.

"Ouch, Kairi," Sora gasped, though he was only teasing. "No choking! I need to be alive if you're gonna drag me clothes shopping." His smile widened as he set his hands in the sand, slowly pushing himself up and looking over at Kairi. She made it out okay, thank goodness. And in the crowd, he saw Aqua, Terra, Ven, and Master Eraqus. But where were the others?
Kairi only smiled, her arms remaining around Sora's neck as she leaned back slightly, looking in the direction Sora was. Their friends were okay, all up in the front. But...two people were missing--Riku and Lightning. She hoped they were okay.

Sora noticed Roxas and Namine join the group then, and that meant only his best friend and girlfriend were missing. "...Where's Riku?" he asked Kairi softly, his eyes turning serious as he looked at her. Riku was okay, wasn't he? And what about Lightning...?
Kairi's smile faltered, and she slowly let her hands trail over Sora's shoulders before falling to her lap, which was soaked from the water. "...With Lightning," she said softly, her eyes on her fiance. "She's hurt." Badly. Kairi didn't get the chance to see what exactly was wrong, but the glimpse she did get was bad enough.

Sora nodded faintly, not offended that Riku wasn't here right now along with everyone else. Sora wasn't the type to get easily offended in the first place. "Do you think we all should join him?" he asked Kairi softly. He wasn't sure, since he had no idea what to expect.
"I...don't know," Kairi responded, looking at her hands. "She's not in good shape, Sora. And Riku's a mess." She didn't think he would want everyone to see him like that. But, if they did go, everyone would see how much he cared for her, even the people who didn't know him best. Besides, maybe someone could help him...

Kain stood towards the front of the group, a path opening after he worked his way through the crowd. He knew the answer to Sora and Kairi's question, though he didn't speak. They would discover soon enough that Riku was already on his way.

"I don't think Riku would--" Kairi started, though movement out of the corner of her eye stopped her. She saw Kain, and not too far behind him, Riku...and Lightning. The latter was cradled in Riku's arms, still unconscious. Her best friend looked right at her and Sora in silence, which caused her to become concerned. The look on his face... It scared Kairi.

"I'm taking Lightning home," Riku stated lowly, aware that all eyes were on him and the woman in his arms. He wasn't surprised by it; she was beaten up pretty badly back there. His Cure spell fixed the broken bones and cuts, but it didn't wake her up.

"O-okay," Sora said with a nod, his eyes locked on his best friend. He didn't even bother asking if Riku was okay, because he clearly wasn't. "...We'll be around." Riku could come to them if he needed help for anything. Or if he just needed a friend. Whatever happened to Lightning, whatever it was he missed...It must have been absolutely terrible.
Riku nodded slightly before turning around, starting to leave the beach. Lightning's condo wasn't too far from here; he could make it in a few minutes. It wasn't like he would mind holding her for that amount of time anyway.

Ven watched Riku leave with his half-sister, but he stood still. Somehow, he just knew that it wasn't his place to go along and watch over her. Not today. Today, Riku was the one who was meant to care for her as she recovered from the battle. He could just sense it.
Riku reached Lightning's place within a few minutes, managing to get the door open even without his hands being free. Once he was in, he shut it with his foot and started for the bedroom, though the house was completely dark. He memorized the layout well enough to get there. He approached the bed and gently started to set her down, looking down at her unconscious figure in the darkness. She was fragile, almost too fragile. The sight made him feel sick.

Lightning didn't move when Riku set her down, knocked out cold. Her Eidolons sapped all of her strength; she couldn't gather enough to wake up. Maybe if she had some motivation, she would be able to awaken, but she wasn't sure what awaited her in the real world. Or if she was even alive in that world anymore. Maybe she was already dead.
Riku moved onto the bed beside Lightning, climbing over her in silence and being sure not to touch her. Once he was settled, he put his weight on one elbow as he lay on his side. He gazed at her in silence, letting the moonlight seep through the curtains and touch her figure. She was unconscious, but not dead. That was what kept him from losing it completely. "...I'm sorry I wasn't there for you," he whispered. He was helpless at the time; without his Keyblade, he was nothing.

Though there was no logical reason for Lightning to hear a voice when she was so deep in unconsciousness, she did hear a voice. It was very faint, nearly silent. Though she didn't recognize the words, she did recognize the voice that was speaking to her. Riku.
Riku felt one hand curl against the mattress in anger, though it was directed towards himself. "I should have known better than to assume things were completely okay," he said, speaking to Light even if she couldn't really hear him. "Why couldn't I sense it? I should have at least been able to do that...and look what happened." He wished he could have put a stop to it somehow, but destiny didn't want it that way.

"Look what happened," you say, Lightning thought, repeating Riku's words to herself. What happened? Light had been close to death before, but never before had her strength been so diminished. That was what led her to believe that she was either dead, or about to die. A labored breath left her lips, the girl not liking either thing. She didn't want to die if she was still alive.
Riku let a hand move to trail up Lightning's arm, her blue dress tattered and torn in various places due to the fighting she'd done. "You looked beautiful, and now you're..." Riku tried, but he couldn't finish. What was she? She wasn't dead, just...gone. She wasn't there with him at that minute, which didn't make Riku feel any better.

What, Riku? Lightning thought urgently, her heart rate starting to pick up when he didn't finish his sentence. I'm not...dead, am I? She needed to know. What state was she in? She couldn't tell, not with how empty and drained she felt. If this was eternity, then it really sucked.
Riku's hand moved to Lightning's cheek, the young man running his fingertips over her dirty skin. "Just...wake up soon, okay?" he requested softly. I need to hear your voice. Until then, he would stay here with her. He wasn't about to leave her side after how scared he became.

"Wake up"? That means I'm not...gone. Lightning's eyebrows furrowed slightly, that being all that she needed to know. She was still alive, and so was Riku. That meant that she wanted to do as he said and wake up soon. She would overcome this feeling of weakness, just like she overcame everything else.
