Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku didn't catch the slight change in Lightning's expression, the boy instead moving so he was lying right beside her. He draped an arm over her stomach, his head resting on her shoulder. From this position, he could hear her heartbeat. It was strong, which gave him hope that she would wake up soon. That was all he needed.

Lightning grunted when Riku's arm was over her stomach, and resting on her rib cage. He didn't know it, but his cure spells didn't heal her broken bones completely. Pain was one of the first sensations she felt as she started coming to, that being a very unpleasant thing to wake up to. It made her want to retract again, to the state she had been in before where she didn't feel pain.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed at the sound, and he wondered if he actually heard it. He moved his hand to the bed, his arms still over Lightning, just not touching her. He supported his weight as he lifted himself from her shoulder, looking down at her slightly. "...Claire?"

"That hurt," Lightning mumbled, referring to Riku's arm over her stomach. Did he have any magic left, or any potions? She could tell that wherever they were, they weren't in the ball room any longer. She was lying on something soft, something familiar. Her only question now was if this was her house or Riku's.
Riku grunted slightly in surprise, moving his hand to Lightning's face. He gently cupped her cheek. "Sorry," he said softly, though his voice expressed his relief. Thank goodness. He would have stayed up all night worrying about her.

"Yeah, you sound sorry," Light mumbled sarcastically, joking despite the circumstances and peeking her eyes open a crack so that she could see Riku. He was blurry for a few moments before he came into focus. She heard the relief in his voice when she spoke, though she wasn't sharing good news. She felt terrible.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed despite the sarcastic comment, his eyes resting on Lightning's face. "...What hurts?" he asked softly, serious now. What did he do to hurt her, and where exactly was she hurting? He would cast another Cure spell if that did the trick.

"Ribs are the worst," Light said with a slight grunt. "Back too." She felt like she couldn't move... at all. She was aware that permanent spinal damage was always possible when going into battle. Did she do permanent damage this time? Was she paralyzed, or was she just that weak from the fight?
"Want me to try a spell?" Riku asked softly, his eyes moving to Lightning's torso when she mention that area hurting. He had done multiple Cure spells before, but he guessed they weren't enough. That was unfortunate.

Lightning nodded faintly against the pillow, not even bothering to tell Riku not to just cast a normal cure spell. He needed to focus in on the areas, even if that meant getting a little more hands on. Not that she minded Riku being closer to her; she always savored his touch as well as his presence.
Riku climbed over Lightning swiftly, making sure he didn't bump her in the process. Once he was on his feet, he squatted down by the side of the bed, seeing that this side of Lightning's torso hurt. He eyed a tear in her dress and lifted his hands to it. With a tug, he ripped it more, the sound of the fabric tearing filling the room. He ripped it just enough that he could put his hand against Light's skin, knowing he would need close contact for the spell to take full effect. His Keyblade clearly wasn't enough.

"Guess I won't ever be rewearing this dress," Light mumbled upon hearing and feeling Riku rip it. Though this wasn't the time to be joking, Lightning's remarks always made themselves present in desperate situations. She still remembered the time she and her friends went to Gran Pulse for the first time, and she was joking about the Fal'Cie that nearly killed them. She had even humored one of Sazh's jokes about a "l'Cie food buffet".
Riku glanced up at Lightning at the words, though he focused back on her bones. "I doubt you want any memories of tonight," he commented lowly, setting his hands against Lightning's stomach and side. He started to concentrate on curing her wounds, hoping that her bones were connected but sore. That would be best.

Claire was aware that Riku was in the process of healing her, but that didn't stop her from saying something else. "Dancing with you was nice," she murmured, feeling the warmth of Riku's spell and his hand against the ribs that were shattered earlier. They started to mend further, one last broken rib snapping back into place and making her grunt. That one hadn't been healed earlier.
"Hmph," Riku grunted with a small smirk. He felt Lightning's rib snap back in place, but it wasn't something new to him; there were too many times when he dealt with those injuries himself. "We didn't even finish it." Their dance got interrupted, unfortunately.

"We'll finish it...later, then," Light breathed, feeling her body relax a little into the bed, though it was impossible for her to be extremely tense when she was so weak. She felt like she still couldn't move, at all. And the weakness was threatening to overtake her again. But she knew Riku didn't want her passing out.
Riku kept his hands on Lightning's side and stomach, his hands cold against her warm skin. "Can you turn over so I can get your back?" he asked gently. She said her back hurt, and he wanted to take that pain away. Light's pain was his pain, as usual.

Light opened her eyes again, looking down at Riku. "I can't move," she said softly. "I'm not sure if it's just weakness, or..." Or if I did permanent damage that has me paralyzed. She really, really hoped that it wasn't the latter. She didn't know what she would do with herself if she was unable to move around like she usually did.
Riku saw the look in Light's eyes, and he moved one hand over her skin in a comforting gesture. "You're fine," he assured her. "Just worn out. You'll be better after some sleep." He let one hand move above Light's dress to her other side, where he gently arched her back off the bed. He then slid his other hand around to her back, holding her there for a moment as he focused on healing her, his eyes closing.

Lightning exhaled a soft breath when she felt Riku's arms around her more than before, and even if his hands were cold, they felt warm because he was casting healing magic. "Higher up," she whispered, eyes shutting. The pain in her back was higher up than where Riku's hand was, though just by a little bit.
Riku moved one hand up like Lightning asked. "There?" he asked, stopping a little higher up her back. If she could feel his hands, she wasn't completely paralyzed. He would test her legs in a minute, just to make sure.

Light hummed, turning her head on the pillow and looking down and over at Riku. "Yeah," she whispered, blinking her heavy eyelids. His hands were right where they needed to be. She was curious about how banged up she was earlier, but she didn't ask. Instead, she let her eyes fall shut as she tried to remember. She recalled the pillar falling right around her waist...
Riku nodded slightly before focusing, staring at Lightning for a moment before closing his eyes. His eyebrows furrowed as he used the magic within him to cast a healing spell, trying to take away the pain that was hurting his beloved. He didn't want her to be in pain anymore. If he could take it from her, he would.

Light felt the warmth of the spell, also feeling how gentle Riku's hands were against her. He was a warrior, much like she was, but he was also very gentle. She exhaled a soft breath as relief came to her, and again she just wanted to be a hundred percent comfortable and not fight to stay conscious anymore. But she wasn't going to leave Riku, not like she nearly did. She was crushed...It was a miracle she survived.
Riku stopped after a minute of the spell seeping from him and into Lightning. "...Better?" he asked then, his voice a low murmur in the dark room. He opened his eyes to look at Lightning, just in case she didn't speak.
