Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Yeah," Lightning mumbled, peeking her eyes open again to look at Riku. She was better now, though she still felt like she couldn't move. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long to get that strength back. But in her desperation, she summoned as many Eidolons as she could in order to fight. It had been her only choice.
Riku slowly took his hand back, his fingertips gliding over the skin of her back briefly before he set her back on the mattress again. He then removed his hands from her figure completely, setting them on his knees as he looked at her. "...Get some sleep, okay?" he requested. She looked like she was about to pass out on him. If that was the case, he didn't want to keep her up any longer.

Light shook her head faintly, her pale blue eyes still on Riku. "Not right now," she murmured. She didn't want to pass out and...not wake up. That was how severe the weakness was. She just needed some time to regain some assurance that she wouldn't slip away. Now that she knew she was alive, she didn't want to lose that.
Riku nodded slightly, his eyes still resting on the pale blue of the person he loved. "Can I get you anything?" he asked instead. If she wasn't going to fall asleep, he could at least get her something to help her feel better.

Just you, Lightning thought, though she didn't say that aloud. "Maybe a clean pair of clothes," she said softly. Her hands curled on her bed, grasping bed sheets as she slowly moved so she was a few inches off the bed. She felt filthy and wanted to get a shower, but that wouldn't happen right now. "And a wet rag." She could at least wipe some of the dirt off her face.
Riku nodded once more. "You got it," he said softly. He rose to his feet and instantly made his way to the bathroom to get a rag and wet it down. Lightning could wipe her face off while he found her some clothes.

Lightning slowly managed to sit upright, leaning her back against the headboard once she was upright. Her strength was returning, slowly. She looked down at her hands in her lap, lifting her right hand when she saw the mark that was similar to that of a Cocoon l'Cie. Only this was the mark of Etro. It faded away after a few moments, though. It probably lit up briefly just to remind her of the debt she owed to the goddess who granted her power.
Riku found a rag in the bathroom closet and dampened it with cold water, ringing out the excess moisture before he returned to the bedroom. He approached the bed and held the rag out for Lightning to take in silence, his eyes on her. Once she accepted it, he would get her some sweats and a t-shirt, the perfect attire for relaxing.

Light looked up when Riku was by her, and she accepted the rag with a nod of gratitude. Lifting it to her face, she felt the warmth and smoothness of the washcloth against her dirty face. She wiped at the dirt and the blood, aware that her hair felt crusty as well. When her face was done, she lifted her hand and put the rag against her hair, shutting her eyes. I must have had a head wound.
Riku busied himself on the other side of the room, searching Lightning's drawers for a pair of her sweats and one of her loose-fitting t-shirts. He actually found one of his, which he had let her borrow a long time ago on the mountain. He guessed she kept it. It was okay with him, though, since he grabbed it for her to wear again. He held the clothes in one of his hands, shutting the dresser drawer with the other. "How do sweats and a t-shirt sound?" he asked, turning to look at the girl he loved.

"Sounds fine," Light responded with a small nod, keeping the washcloth to her head. I really wish I could take a shower... But she barely had the strength to sit up, let alone stand in the shower and get cleaned up. She would have to deal with getting cleaned up this way, with a wet rag.
Riku approached Lightning in silence, sitting himself down in the open space just on the edge of the bed as he faced her. He set the clothes on the other side of her, leaning against that hand. "Can you even get dressed?" he asked. It looked like she was having a hard time even holding the rag to her head.

Light nodded faintly in silence, though she wasn't so confident. But what other choice did she have? She had to at least try to change; her dress was pretty torn up now, and she didn't really want to sleep in it. She was actually getting chilly because of the holes in it, but once she was dressed in different clothes, she could also get under the covers.
Riku smiled weakly, his eyes dancing over Lightning's now-clean face. "I'll leave you to it," he said softly. He would go get himself something to drink in the meantime, and bring back something for her when she finished getting cleaned up.

"Okay," Light responded softly, watching Riku leave the room. Once she had the privacy, she managed to work her way out of the torn and dirty dress and get into the sweats and T-shirt, all without leaving her bed. Though she wanted to lay down, she stayed sitting up and waited for Riku to come back. She didn't want to be lured to sleep, not yet. She wanted to be with him...and ask him something.
Riku allowed about five minutes to go by before he shut off the kitchen light and made sure the front and back doors were locked, then making his way down the hall. He knocked on the door and waited a few seconds before opening it, a bottle of water in his hand for Lightning. He saw that she was dressed and looking more comfortable than before, which was good. Hopefully now she could completely relax.

Light turned her head against the headboard, seeing that Riku was back. "And here I was thinking that you left," she murmured jokingly without moving. Of course, she knew that Riku wouldn't leave her without saying goodbye, and he definitely wouldn't leave her when she was in this type of shape. That wasn't his style.
"You must have hit your head pretty hard," Riku commented back with the slightest of smiles, making his way over to the bed. He sat down on it in the same fashion Light was, holding out the water bottle. "Parting gift?" he joked. She thought he was leaving, or so she said. Regardless, he wouldn't be going anywhere. Especially tonight.

Light hmphed, lifting a hand and accepting the water. "I'll hit your head pretty hard if you're leaving," she said softly, her eyes showing a bit of amusement. But she was serious too; no way was Riku going to leave her here alone tonight. They spent a lot of nights together anyway, but tonight was one night where they definitely needed to stay together.
Riku held up his hands in surrender. "No need to get hostile," he insisted softly. "I won't leave your side. Promise." And he wouldn't. As if he actually could. If he did leave, he'd make it as far as the front door and turn back.

"You better not," Lightning agreed, setting a hand on the bottle cap but not twisting it. Riku's promise assured her that he wouldn't, though. Even if she managed to tick him off sometime tonight (which she doubted she would do; she was too tired to be irritating), she knew he wouldn't walk away. Not after what could have happened tonight.
Riku's smile remained, even if it was half-hearted. He was still terrified of what he saw earlier; he didn't doubt nightmares would be haunting him in his sleep for weeks to come. Lightning almost died, something he feared every minute of battle, no matter who they faced or what day it was. He never wanted that to happen.

Lightning looked down at the bottle, still not opening it as she turned more serious. She could tell Riku's smile wasn't completely happy. "...How bad was it?" she asked quietly, referring to what happened. She was knocked out right away because of something hitting her in the head when all the debris landed on top of her.
Riku looked away at that, staring at the wall across the room. "Honestly..." he started, voice lower as his smile vanished, "I was surprised you were still breathing." The pillar had been solid concrete, at least fifty feet tall and six feet thick. How she survived that...Riku would never know.

Light nodded faintly without looking over, leaning her head back against the headboard. Right, she thought, shutting her eyes. She had been put in a pretty awful position. She did recall that at the last moment, she lifted her arm and shielded her face, though. That probably saved her from a lot of head damage.
