A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"I know..." Roxas sighed softly. He then lifted Namine's hand to his lips, kissing it before setting it back on his chest. "I can't say I wouldn't do the same." He would have, in a heart beat. But...who was he without Namine? A Nobody...a true one.

Namine nodded faintly in silence. She knew that if the scenario arose, Roxas would have done anything to save her. If he had been the one defending her in the fight, he would have taken similar action against Larxene. But the roles were flipped from the usual back there. It was odd, and very comforting that it wouldn't ever be like that again.

Roxas squeezed Namine's hand, opening his eyes to look up at her. "I love you too," he whispered gently. That was why, as soon as he could, he would get back to work on the meadow. Spring would be coming soon, and the flowers would bloom. As soon as they were fully grown, he would propose. He needed to; Namine deserved to have a husband, somebody who could take care of her. Roxas was going to be that person.

Namine smiled weakly, leaning down and giving Roxas a kiss on the forehead. She pulled back after a few moments, still sitting upright on her side of the bed. Not in a million years would she be tired of hearing those words from Roxas. She was so blessed to have him in her life.

Roxas couldn't help but smile at the gesture, looking up at Namine. "Ready to sleep yet?" he asked softly, knowing it was late. It was about time they got some rest, after all that happened today. True, it was storming outside, but that only helped him fall asleep faster.

"Are you?" Namine responded softly in question. Roxas had been the first one to get up and gaze out the window, but he must have been sleepy now if he was bringing up the topic. That, or he was just trying to make sure that she got rest after the big fight. She was pretty tired now that she thought about it.

Roxas let go of Namine's hand, sitting up and turning slightly to face her. He shrugged his bare shoulder, tilting his head. "Not really," he said. "I'll be up for a little while. I've got a lot on my mind." It wasn't just the fight, though; he had a lot of things to think about for the future. "But...I'll lay with you if you want."

"That'd be nice," Namine responded softly, setting her hand in her lap when Roxas sat up. She didn't want to be apart from him, not after everything that happened earlier that evening. She just hoped that she could sleep, since she had a lot on her mind as well.

Roxas smiled slightly. "Okay," he replied with a small nod. He brought his feet up on the bed and got under the covers, expecting Namine to do the same. She could sleep, and he would watch over her until he fell asleep as well.

Namine slid under the covers, lying on her side as she faced Roxas's direction. She snuggled against the bed to get comfortable, her face in the soft pillow as she ignored the wet hair that was a mess. She just wanted to sleep and temporarily forget everything that happened. Today ended on a very sour note.

Roxas had one arm tucked under his pillow, though he didn't close his eyes. Instead, he gazed at Namine with gentle blue orbs that showed nothing but adoration, and the want and need to make things better for her. This wasn't the life they were meant to have, full of pain and sorrow and anger. They were supposed to be happy, and together. He was going to make that happen.

Namine looked at Roxas from behind her bangs, a blush creeping into her cheeks at the look in his eyes. He made her blush earlier, too, when they were dancing. She shut her eyes to hide from the look that sometimes overwhelmed her, the look that expressed Roxas's total love for her. She was so grateful to have him in her life.

Roxas didn't have to say anything, the silence seeming to say it all: Goodnight. He lifted his hand to Namine's face, tucking back her longer bangs before running his thumb over her flushed cheeks. She was embarrassed about something, something he obviously did, but it was okay. He liked that he sometimes made her nervous; something about it was too cute for words.

Despite the thoughts racing around her mind, Namine managed to fall asleep within a few minutes. It was hard not to, considering how tired she was and how comforting Roxas's presence was. His soft stroking was enough to sooth her to sleep, the blonde losing consciousness as the dull rain pounded the roof.

Two days later

 

Riku sat on the couch in Lightning's living room, staring at the coffee table in waiting. Sora was supposed to come over and talk to him about something, but Riku couldn't really think about it. He was concerned more for Lightning, since she hadn't woken up for two days. He wasn't sure what to do but wait for her, but what if it wasn't enough?

Sora stopped in front of Lightning's house, ringing the doorbell. This was where he and Riku would talk, since Riku refused to leave Lightning alone. With all that happened just two days ago, it was very understandable. He would have been terrified if Kairi was in that position. Still, he didn't come to discuss Lightning. He came to discuss something else that was important.

Riku rose to his feet instantly at the sound of the doorbell, sighing as he ruffled his hair and approached the door. He turned the know and pulled it open, locating his best friend immediately. He nodded in greeting and stepped aside, silently welcoming Sora inside.

Sora nodded faintly in greeting, coming inside when Riku allowed him in. "Hey, buddy," he greeted with a faint smile. "How're you doing?" Judging by the unenthusiastic greeting he just got, Riku wasn't doing so hot. Not that he could blame him.

Riku shrugged and shut the door. "Could be better," he answered lowly. He then approached the couch, running a hand over his face as he sighed. "So, what's up?" Sora obviously needed to discuss something with him, or else he wouldn't have come over. And when Sora wanted to talk about something in person, Riku knew it was important.

"Well," Sora said, his expression a little sheepish and shy as he sat down on a seat next to Riku's couch so he could see his friend's expression. "I'm just sorting out some wedding stuff and wanted to talk to you. You mind, or is today a bad day?" He really did want to get this sorted out, but he wouldn't be a jerk and talk about it if Riku was too worried about Lightning.

Riku smirked, running a hand through his hair as he looked to his best friend. "I've got time," he told Sora, though his smirk was in good nature. Sora sorting out wedding stuff? It was almost amusing, since he figured Kairi would handle all of it.

"Glad to hear it," Sora said with a small smirk, though that smirk faded away after a few moments so that he could be serious. He glanced down at his lap, leaning forward on his seat as he clasped his hands. "I've been thinking about it from the start...since it's one of the only details that I have to decide on my own. ...Who I want to be my best man."

Riku lifted one arm to rest on the back of the couch, his ankle resting on his other knee. "...Okay," he said, preparing to hear Sora's decision. Honestly, he was expecting to be the best man, since he and Sora had been best friends since they were old enough to walk. But then again, Roxas was a part of Sora, which Riku couldn't really compete with.

"You know you and Roxas are both like brothers to me," Sora said, looking up at his best friend with all sincerity. "And I hated the idea of choosing between you. So...that's why I chose that I want to have both of you as my best men. If you don't mind sharing the title, of course." He smirked slightly, though it was partially because of nervousness. What did Riku think?

Riku's eyebrows furrowed at the words, questioning Sora's sanity. Best men? He didn't know anyone who actually did that; then again, he had only been to one wedding--Serah and Snow's. He shook his head and chuckled slightly, looking at his best friend. "Are you actually nervous?" he asked, lifting an eyebrow as he stared at Sora. He leaned over and held out his hand for a friendly clasp. "I'd be honored."
