Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Sweet," Sora said, his smile turning genuine as he unclasped his hands and grasped Riku's. That's one thing that's already taken care of. Now there's another matter... Sora already got Roxas's acceptance and approval for the best man position being shared, but there was something else to discuss with Riku alone.
Riku smirked and grasped Sora's hand, but then he let it go. He would have done their usual forearm-bump of a handshake, but they hadn't been close enough. "I imagine Kairi says it's okay," he said, leaning back in his seat. Otherwise Sora wouldn't have come to Riku; Kairi had to have approved.

"Kairi approves of my choice to have two best men," Sora agreed, folding his hands again. "But she doesn't know that I'm not here to just talk about you being a best man." Riku was not only his best friend, but Kairi's too. The three of them were family growing up. And that was why Sora wanted to let Riku have a bigger role in the wedding. He was sure Kairi would love the idea as soon as she found out.
Riku's smirk slowly disappeared. "What?" he prodded. What else did Sora need to talk about other than him agreeing to be a best man in his and Kairi's wedding? Judging by the way Sora was acting, Riku couldn't sense that it was anything bad. But he was curious.

Sora leaned back in the chair, folding his arms over his chest as he looked over at Riku again. "The three of us grew up like family, always doing everything together and always looking out for each other," he said, a small smile forming on his lips. "Kairi and I will officially be family soon, but I want you to know that the three of us are always gonna be family, you know?"
What a sap, Riku couldn't help but think, his eyebrow arching. "Yeah..." he said slowly. "What are you getting at?" There was obviously something more to this, but what? What was Sora planning to do to make him realize they were always going to be family? Riku already knew that.

"What I'm trying to say is that...We're Kairi's only real family," Sora said, his smile fading a little bit. "...I think it'd be fitting if you were the one to hand Kairi off to me at the wedding." Just in case he wasn't being clear enough, he came right out and said it. "I want you to be the one to walk Kairi down the aisle."
Riku's eyes widened at the statement, at a loss for words. Me...handing off Kairi? He figured the mayor should have been the one to do that, but the mayor and Kairi hadn't exactly been in contact since she got kicked out of her house and was forced to move to Radiant Garden a long time ago. That was out of the question. So...Riku was supposed to do it? Not that it was a bad thing. He was...flattered.

"It makes sense, you know," Sora said, continuing at Riku's stunned silence. "You're the one who helped me propose in the first place, and I can't think of any other person that means more to both of us than you. I haven't talked to Kairi about it yet, but...I'd really like it if you walked her down the aisle, as a brother and a best friend to Kairi."
Riku's eyes had descended to the coffee table in the room, but his expression calmed when he finally understood what Sora was saying and the shock wore off. He smiled softly, nodding to his best friend. "Well, let's hope she doesn't hate the idea," he said. Kairi would just have to deal. He was definitely going to walk her down the aisle.
  • Author
"I know what you're thinking, and I agree," Sora said with a smirk. "She'll have to deal with it if she doesn't approve. It's one of the few wedding decisions I actually made," he said, laughing. He didn't do much; that was all Kairi's job. He was just looking forward to the moment when he could finally claim her as his wife.
Riku chuckled as well, relaxing in his seat as he shook his head. "Not willing to put in the effort?" he joked. Kairi was stuck doing a majority of it by herself, but then again, she probably had Namine and Aqua helping out when they could.

"You just wait until you have to plan a wedding," Sora said with a smirk, pointing a finger at Riku. "You'll find out just how girly it all is, picking out colors, flowers, clothes..." All of it was pretty horrific for him. The only part he liked was checking out their different food options.
Riku rolled his eyes. "Like Lightning is going to enjoy that," he said with the same smirk. She wasn't like that at all, liking flowers and picking the clothes. Serah would probably do most of it, in Riku's opinion. But she did a fabulous job with her wedding, so he wasn't worried.

Sora humphed, a small smile on his lips. "So, you've decided then," he said, not making it a question. Riku decided that Lightning was the one for him. Not that he was surprised, of course. He had commented to Kairi a few nights ago that Riku seemed anxious to propose, even if Riku never once brought up the topic.
Riku let his eyes locate Sora again as he nodded, his smile faint but full of adoration as he thought of Lightning. "Yeah," he said quietly. He wanted to be with Lightning for the rest of his life, something he'd known since he recovered the memories of losing her for seven years, and getting the letter from his future self in another incident. It was obvious that he was supposed to propose, and soon.

Sora smirked, seeing the look in Riku's eyes and that smile that he only wore concerning Lightning. "Sap," he teased lightly. He didn't get the chance to say that often, but Riku was proving to be a sap when it came to Lightning. It was sweet though, and great to see Riku so in love with somebody.
Riku grunted, his smile turning devilish as he rose from his seat and tackled Sora on the couch. He put him in a headlock and ran his knuckles over Sora's head. "Say that again!" he ordered. No way was Riku going to allow Sora to use his own insult against him.
  • Author
Despite Riku's clear threat and attack, Sora found himself laughing. "Sap!" he cried, saying it again. He didn't care if he was taking the brunt of Riku's playful aggression, at least Riku was feeling lighthearted enough to do it. That was all that mattered to Sora.
Just for that, Riku rubbed his knuckles faster and harder against Sora's head, messing up his friend's spikes even more. So what if I am? he thought to himself. He had a good reason.
  • Author
"Ouch!" Sora laughed, feeling Riku's knuckles harder against his head. "That's it, I take it all back! You're not walking Kairi down the aisle anymore!" He wondered how Riku would react to that.
Riku's eyes widened, and he grabbed Sora by the shoulders and pushed him off the couch. "You better not mean that," he growled, though in good nature. He was walking Kairi down that aisle, no matter what. She was like his baby sister.

Sora grunted when he landed on his back, but he still had enough air to speak. "I might if you don't lay off," Sora said with a laugh, unable to help it. It had been a long, long time since he and Riku had a fun argument. They hardly argued seriously now that they were older and more mature, but that was beside the point. It was nice to have fun again.
Riku crossed his arms. "Oh really?" he asked, lifting an eyebrow. "We'll see how Kairi reacts when she finds that her fiance left her at the altar on account of death by stupidity." Riku stepped forward and reached down to grab Sora, for once feeling amused and like a kid again. He and Sora rarely had these kinds of taunting sessions; it was nice every once in a while.
  • Author
"You mean because of your anger issues," Sora said, moving away before Riku could grab him. He rose to his feet, straightening his shirt. "She'll have worse anger, though. Your death would be caused by your stupid decision to cross Kairi!" Beat that comeback, Riku.
