Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku stopped, looking at Sora for a minute before he lowered his head, shaking it. "...Fine," he admitted, bringing a hand to his forehead. "You win." Kairi would kill him if he made Sora miss their wedding, that was for sure. "I guess I can spare your life, but just this once." He looked up at his best friend and smirked. For the first time since the incident with the villains, he was enjoying himself. Even without Lightning.

"Glad to hear you see things my way," Sora responded with a smirk. "And thanks for the compassion. Don't really want to lose my life right now." Things were terrific now that all the chaos was over. It had only been two days, but the worlds felt so much safer now that they were being protected by so many others. It took a lot of weight off his shoulders.
Riku released a small "hmph" before ruffling his best friend's hair, like he used to. Once he let his hand drop, though, he looked to the hall, his thoughts wandering. Things were great for Sora and Kairi, which he was happy about. But...his life wasn't the same.

Sora followed Riku's gaze, his smile fading after a moment. "I'll let you get back to her," he said softly, more serious. Clearly that was where Riku wanted to be right now, especially since their conversation and roughhousing was over. He would go home and talk to Kairi.
Riku smiled weakly, nodding before he let his eyes find Sora. "Let me know how Kairi takes it," he said, referring to him walking her down the aisle. He hoped she was okay with it, but it was Kairi; she would love it.

"I'd be surprised if she didn't track you down first to show how excited she is," Sora assured Riku with a small smile, lifting his hand and clasping his best friend's shoulder. Kairi was going to love this idea, and she would be very surprised over it. He couldn't wait to see her face when she heard.
Riku nodded with the same small smile. "She knows where to find me," he stated. He wouldn't be leaving any time soon. He was staying with Lightning until she woke up, something he hoped was soon. He didn't know how much longer he could wait.

"And you know where to find us," Sora said, taking his hand back. "Call us if you need anything, okay?" Even if it was just somebody to come to the house, he and Kairi would be there in a heartbeat. Riku was their best friend, after all. Family.
"Yeah," Riku replied, his voice low as he looked at Sora. He assumed Sora was going to Kairi's apartment right after this, since she didn't have to work today. She was probably busy making more plans for the wedding, but with Sora, the interruption wouldn't be so bad. Riku knew that much.

Sora smiled weakly, able to tell that Riku was still having a hard time with things. "Hang in there," he encouraged. "See you soon." He lifted a hand and waved before he turned and started to leave. He was certain that as soon as he left, Riku would go back to Lightning's side. That was where he belonged.
"See ya, man," Riku called. He lifted his hand in a slight wave before letting it descend into his pocket, much like the other. Now that Sora had come over, Riku was going to return to Lightning. Hopefully she was awake, but he wouldn't count on it too much.

Sora made his way to Kairi's apartment, though he stopped by the flower shop on the way home and bought her a single white rose. He rang the doorbell of her apartment while holding the flower behind his back, feeling a little anxious about telling Kairi the news. But at the same time, he knew she was going to love it.
Kairi turned her head at the sound of the doorbell, and she dropped the pen she had been using onto the notepad filled with her handwriting. She pulled at her tank top and approached the door, dressed in sweats since she hadn't been expecting any company today. She looked out the peephole of her door and smiled upon seeing that it was her fiance. She opened the door with bright eyes, locating the man she loved. What was he doing here?

"Surprise," Sora said with a sheepish smile, seeing Kairi's expression. She obviously hadn't been expecting him. Still, he pulled his hand out from behind his back and held out the flower for her, his actions saying it all. I got you a flower. It was a little cheesy, but that was how he was.
Kairi blinked at the sight of the flower, knowing that it was a surprise indeed. "Sora..." she said softly, already feeling her cheeks warm at the small gift. She gently took the white rose from her, remembering what she had read on it when she was searching for flowers for their wedding. A white rose symbolized innocence and purity... How sweet.

"I brought that to remind you that you love me, just in case you're angry at me for what I'm about to tell you," Sora said, his expression still sheepish. And I got it because I love you, obviously. Still, he had news to tell her.
Kairi's smile slowly faded at those words, and she eyed Sora for a moment before stepping out of his way. "Come on in," she instructed gently. In case I'm angry at him? What is that supposed to mean? Sora didn't do anything rash, did he?

Sora's smile became a normal one as he stepped inside, past Kairi. He started toward the couch automatically and sat down, his blue eyes finding his love again. He wouldn't torture her by keeping her in the dark too long; she'd find out very soon that he went behind her back.
Kairi placed the white rose gently on the counter, planning on putting it in water soon. But first... "What's going on?" she asked her husband-to-be, approaching him as he sat on the couch. She took a seat beside him, which was coincidentally where she sat before he arrived.

"Well," Sora started, clasping his hands in front of himself much like he did during his conversation with Riku earlier. "I talked to both Roxas and Riku today about being best men, and they loved the idea." He looked over at her, smiling softly. He was so glad his friends were understanding that he couldn't choose between them.
"Really?" Kairi voiced, her eyes widening in surprise and glee. But she shouldn't have been shocked; Roxas and Riku were both great guys, and great friends. She should have known they would accept the offer. "That's great!"
  • Author
"Seriously," Sora agreed, clearly relieved. "Both of them easily accepted it. They seemed happy, too, that I wasn't putting the other person down." He was glad that he decided that both his friends would be the best men.
Kairi smiled and nodded in agreement. "Mm," she hummed softly. Roxas was a part of Sora, which meant he obviously was a good person deep down. And Riku was the same way, his heart connected with both hers and Sora's. She didn't think either one of them would be so selfish as to request being the only best man.

"...But I also talked to Riku about something else that we hadn't discussed," Sora said to Kairi, his smile fading a little in seriousness. He asked Riku to walk Kairi down the aisle, a role that normally a father or a brother would have. And he did it without Kairi's permission.
Upon seeing Sora's smile disappear, Kairi's did the same. "...And that would be?" she gently prodded. She and Sora had practically discussed everything for the wedding day, from the music to the food (which was undoubtedly Sora's favorite part). But what was left?
