Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"I was thinking about family in your life, and how Riku and I are your closest family," Sora said gently. This was nothing new, though; they established that before. "And on our wedding day, we'll officially be family. But I wanted Riku to have a bigger part in the wedding too since he's family to both of us. So... I asked him if he would be the one to hand you off to me."
Kairi's eyebrows had furrowed in concentration through Sora's explanation, but when she heard the last part, she blinked. Riku...handing her off to Sora? He would be walking me down the aisle, she thought immediately. But...it wasn't a bad thing. It was fantastic!

"I know I went behind your back to ask him," Sora said. "I wanted it to be a surprise to you. And I didn't want you to worry about who would walk you down the aisle." He smiled faintly, setting a hand on Kairi's knee. "So, what do you think?" he asked softly. "Willing to let Riku walk you down the aisle?"
Kairi looked at Sora for a moment, though her eyes brightened with glee. "Of course!" she squealed, wrapping her arms around Sora's neck and hugging him tightly. A surprise? It was definitely one, and a good one at that. Riku would be walking her down the aisle! Her big brother would hand her off!

Sora laughed, his hand coming off Kairi's leg and onto her back. "Choking!" he cried, though he was teasing. "Can't have a dead groom at the altar!" But at the same time, he was holding onto her so she wouldn't pull back completely. He was thrilled that she loved his idea so much.
Kairi giggled lightly and loosened her hold a bit, though Sora's arm kept her where she was. She turned her head and gave him a kiss on the cheek before returning to their embrace. "Thank you," she said softly. She couldn't have had a better fiance, nor could she have chosen someone as wonderful as Riku to walk her down the aisle.

"You're welcome," Sora responded, turning his head and giving Kairi a kiss on her hair. He held the kiss for a few moments before he just turned his head and let it rest against hers. That couldn't have gone better.
I'm so excited, Kairi thought then, staring at the window nearby. Riku's going to walk me down the aisle and hand me off to the love of my life. I hope he's just as thrilled as I am... He did agree to it, after all. That had to mean something.

"He was surprised like you were," Sora said with a chuckle. "But he got pretty excited over it once it settled in. He wants to know how you reacted, but I figured you should show him yourself instead of me passing it on." Of course, Kairi didn't have to go tell him right now. Riku probably wanted some time with Lightning, whether she was conscious or not.
Kairi pulled back slightly to look at Sora, though her hands lingered on his shoulders. "I will soon," she stated softly. Her gaze rested on the face she had adored since she was a little girl. "But right now, I still need to get some things straightened out with our wedding." It felt so great to say that, "our wedding." Kairi loved it, since she and Sora would truly be united soon. But first, she had to get bridesmaid dresses and pick invitations. The date had already been set.

"Guess this is the part where I let you go and flee the scene," Sora joked softly, his hold on Kairi loosening. He knew some of what still needed to be done, and it was girly stuff. He really didn't care about any of that.
Kairi smiled gently, lifting a hand to Sora's cheek and letting her thumb glide over his smooth skin. "Yeah, I think you've done as much as you can," she teased lightly. She took her hand away as her smile grew slightly, having referred to Sora simply picking one of the colors and the food. That was all she could really ask of him.

"At least you realize I'm not completely useless," Sora joked with a small smirk, leaning in and giving Kairi a quick kiss on the forehead before he pulled back his arm and released her. He knew that she had a lot of work to do, so he wouldn't interfere. He'd work on something else, like bugging Roxas.
Kairi chuckled, her eyes briefly closing at the kiss before she opened them to look at her fiance. "Don't go getting yourself into trouble," she warned gently. The trouble had finally ceased; they didn't need anymore right now, even if it was minor.
  • Author
"Me, get into trouble? Never," Sora said innocently, though a small smirk was still present as he rose to his feet. He would be staying away from trouble for a while though; everyone needed some peace after the last month or so of chaos.
"If you go see Roxas," Kairi started, lifting her chin to follow her fiance as he rose to his feet, "just make sure you don't go too far with the taunting. He's had a short temper lately." She wasn't sure why, but Roxas did. She guessed he was just stressed out after what happened to Namine recently.
  • Author
"Don't worry about it," Sora assured her. "I know not to stress Roxas out right now." Something was up, something so personal that Sora didn't even know what it was. He tried talking to Roxas about it the other day, but Roxas assured him that he was getting comfort from Namine and not bottling something inside. That was good enough for Sora to leave him alone.
"Mm," Kairi hummed with a small nod. "Well, have fun. Call me later, 'kay?" She would be busy working on the wedding plans for right now, but she did want to spend some time with her friends or just Sora alone. They didn't hang out much the past few days, after all that happened.
  • Author
"You got it babe," Sora responded, lifting a hand and waving faintly in farewell before he turned to leave. He'd see her again later, hopefully. Until then, he'd have to find something to keep him occupied and out of trouble.
Kairi's lips turned up into a small smile as she watched Sora go, but she returned to her work before he reached the door. Picking up her pen and notepad, she got back to trying to decide what order she wanted everyone to walk. Riku was out of that order now, though; he would be with her instead.

Two days later

Lightning hadn't woken up to a pleasant situation. She was alone, for one thing, except for Jasmine curled up against her back. Riku had left because the Mayor was forcing the Keyblade wielders to repair the building that was destroyed less than a week ago. Lightning had only gotten the chance to stand up before she sensed a threat, and Jasmine did too. Two people suddenly showed up in her room: Xigbar and Larxene. In Lightning's weakened state, they easily overcame her. It helped that when Lightning summoned her metal armor, Larxene heartlessly struck her with lightning, and the pain was much worse than it would have been before. That was when Xigbar took the opportunity to pin her against the wall, his arm against her throat as she stood on her toes. I can't breathe, she thought desperately, glaring at the man. Jasmine tried to help her, but she was kicked to the side and cut by one of Xigbar's bullets. Now, she was off to the side, licking her wounds.

Riku entered Lightning's condo quietly, done with his help in the reconstruction for today. He set his bundle of tools down as he shut the door behind him, but that was when he stopped. His shoulders tensed, his hands balling instantly into fists. He could smell it...the Darkness. Light, he instantly panicked. He ran a few steps over before vaulting over the couch and hurrying down the hall. He pushed the door open with so much force it knocked into the wall, but that didn't shock him the most. Riku's eyes hardened instantly when he saw Lightning pinned against the wall, with Xigbar and Larxene in the same room.

All eyes went to Riku when he made his presence known, though Larxene was the first to speak from her spot a few feet away from the other two. "About time you showed up, Keyblade Brat," she said, her voice dripping with its usual vicious tone. Riku was the one that they really wanted, though Lightning was going to have a role in what happened. She was the damsel in distress now, taken hostage by the bad guys. Her hero would need to save her, but not without a sacrifice.

"What do you want?" Riku asked lowly, his eyes darting from Larxene to Xigbar, who still pinned Lightning to the wall. He was happy to see she had finally woken up, but not under these circumstances. He took a slow step foward, though he instantly regretted it.

Upon seeing Riku try to get closer, Xigbar pressed his forearm against Lightning's throat with more force. "Ah ah ah, Keyblade Master," he said coolly. "You're going to be playing by our rules this time."

A muffled grunt left Light's lips at the force, her vision briefly getting blurry. You're going to kill me at this rate, she silently told Xigbar, her hand loosening on the arm she gripped. She was losing air quickly, but there was no way she could get out of the situation on her own. Her feet were barely on the ground, for pity's sake.
