A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Roxas turned his head, his blue eyes finding Namine. They softened, though, when he saw the way she held herself. But...he couldn't blame her. What Chris said and did to her was awful... Roxas sat up straighter, lifting a hand and lightly setting it on the back of Namine's head.

Namine felt the light hand on the back of her head, and she wondered how long Roxas had been watching her to see this position. She stayed still, letting his hand rest there as her eyes got teary. She lost so many drawings...

Roxas kept his hand on Namine's head, but then he gently stroked her hair. He didn't say anything, not really sure what to tell her other than that he was sorry. And he couldn't say that, because she would tell him it would be ridiculous to apologize; he hadn't done anything wrong. It was Chris.

Namine felt the tears escape her closed eyes, Roxas's gentle gesture causing that. She was so lucky to have him with her right now. She was still clearly sad, but at least she knew that she was never alone. She exhaled a soft, shaking breath.

Roxas scooted himself a little closer to the girl he loved, picking up the stroking of her hair again. He set his free hand on her arm closest to him, just softly gazing at her. He wouldn't push conversation; it was probably too hard to talk now.

Namine felt Roxas's presence closer to her, and she felt her shoulders sag a little bit. She was so glad that he was there, but she couldn't put it into words. Maybe once her tears slowed down or ceased, then she could show him her thanks.

Roxas only continued his motion, simply gazing at the girl he loved. He knew just as well as she did that what Chris did was unnecessary, completely unnecessary. Namine never deserved to be treated in such a way; instead, she needed to be treated like this, with gentleness and care. Love.

After a few minutes, Namine lifted her face out of her knees a little bit. She also lifted her hands and wiped at a few tears before she turned to Roxas beside her and silently embraced him from the side.

Roxas's arms instantly wound around Namine's shoulders, the boy holding her close. He knew that she was upset; it was so obvious. But he didn't know if it was obvious that he wanted to make that sadness go away. He really did.

Namine's head found Roxas's shoulder, and she kept her eyes open partway as she gazed down at the sand. She felt so much warmer in her heart now that Roxas was actually holding her. This feeling reminded her that things weren't all bad, and that was what she needed right now.

Roxas lowered his lips to Namine's head, kissing her hair. He held the position for a few seconds before he pulled back, letting his chin rest atop her blonde head. He only continued to hold her, feeling that was what was best for now.

Namine shut her eyes when Roxas kissed her, and when he was done, she snuggled a little closer to him. There wasn't much either of them could say. That was an awful situation back there, and nothing could change that.

Roxas knew that words weren't needed right now, and probably weren't wanted either. He was okay with that; all he wanted to do was hold Namine and make that sorrow go away. He never wanted her to be sad.

"...Thanks," Namine said softly, squeezing Roxas a little bit as she held him more closely. This was what she needed right now; not words of assurance or speaking about what happened.

Roxas brought a hand to Namine's head, closing his eyes. "Of course," he whispered quietly. He definitely wanted to be the person with her right now. He preferred it that way, when things were like this. Unfortunately, they were, more than once.

Namine kept her eyes shut, hearing Roxas's soft spoken words. Despite her sadness, she felt a weak smile appear on her lips. "I love you," she said softly. She felt like she hadn't told him that enough lately, even if he already knew it. She liked to say it anyway, because it was so true.

Roxas's lips turned up in a small smile. "I love you too, Namine," he said quietly. As he said it, he lightly squeezed her, pulling her a little closer to him. He loved hearing her say that, but he also loved expressing his feeling toward her. He would never get tired of it, and that was how he knew that he was going to be with Namine forever.

Namine didn't protest Roxas pulling her closer, not that she would ever be against such a thing. They loved each other, and she believed they always would. At least, she knew that she always would. She couldn't stop loving him if she tried.

Roxas's smile remained as another moment passed by, but his hold on Namine didn't loosen. He moved his head so his cheek rested against her blonde hair, his eyes opening as he looked out at the ocean.

The Next Day...

Master Yen Sid looked at the pupil in front of him, looking at Terra and Riku. He had requested their presence at the tower so that he could administer a test. Many years ago, Aqua and Terra had taken this test of Mastery, and only Aqua had passed. Master Yen Sid would have offered that Roxas, Ventus, and Sora could take the test, but they were too young. And besides, the last person in that group could not wield a Keyblade any more. So, today's test was for Terra and Riku alone, and Aqua was here to help him decide who would become a Master.

 

Terra stood up straight in front of the two Masters, seeing Master Yen Sid looking over him and Riku. He was being offered a second chance at this test, and he was grateful. Hopefully he would pass this time and earn the title of being a Master. But even if he did not, then he would be fine. He knew what mattered now, and it wasn't a title.

 

Ven stood off to the side, looking around the open area that was in the Tower. He had seen this test given before, and he was eager to see it again. And hopefully this time, his best friend would become a Master.

Aqua stood to the side and a foot behind Master Yen Sid, her arms at her sides as she focused on what was happening. Terra and Riku were up for a Mark of Mastery Exam, one that would make both, one, or neither of them a Keyblade Master like her and Master Yen Sid. She looked at them both with encouraging eyes; they could do this.

 

Riku stood to attention in front of Master Yen Sid, his eyebrows furrowed as he concentrated on the man before him. Terra stood next to him, and Riku knew that he was his competitor in the Exam. A Mark of Mastery Exam, one that could deem him an actual Master. It was bizarre, but he felt he was ready. It was just too bad that Sora wasn't here to see this...

 

Roxas stood next to Ventus, his eyes on the four people in front of him. He'd never heard of the Mark of Mastery Exam before, but he knew now that it was a test to show who was a true Keyblade Master. Of course, both Terra and Riku were exceptional wielders; it was anybody's game.

"This is not a competition," Master Yen Sid began, looking over both the young people in front of him. "The title of being a Keyblade Master may bring honor to its bearer, but it is the strength of heart that really defines a Keyblade Master. Both of you have shown exemplary power with the Keyblade and with your hearts when facing against the Darkness, which qualifies you for this exam. Are you both prepared?"

 

"Yes, Master," Terra said, nodding faintly to support his words. It was time to redeem himself. Even if he didn't come out victorious, he would do his best in this test.

"Yes, Master," Riku said, his response in unison with Terra's. He had to admit that this was a big step involving the Keyblade, and it was a little nerve-wracking. But Riku knew he had to remained calm, composed, and focused if he was going to succeed. Even if he didn't, he was glad he had this opportunity.

"Once the test is complete, Master Aqua and I will discuss who has earned the right to be called a Master," Master Yen Sid informed the Keybladers. "But now, we shall begin. This first test will be an opportunity to show how you face a stationary enemy." At that, he summoned orbs of Light behind Terra and Riku, this being a custom for the test.

Riku's head turned at the summoning, and he instantly summoned his blade to his hand. Getting into his stance, he eyed the targets in the room. So he had to attack and eliminate the light spheres. Okay.
