Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku grunted roughly at the sight of Lightning sacrificing herself for him, and he looked to Ixion. He whistled, catching the summon's attention. Time to go, he internally spoke. He grabbed Lightning by the waist and placed her on the glider, the young man climbing on right behind her. It was time they left these three behind.

Light held back a groan, her burned back right against Riku's torso. There was no time to worry about that, though. Larxene shot off another lightning bolt, but this time, she was prepared. Somehow, without summoning her sword, she used Etro's power to shield that side of her and Riku. Now was their chance; it was time to go.
Riku felt Ixion flee the scene, becoming one with him once again. The young man moved his glider forward instantly, zooming through a summoned portal and disappearing from the scene. He made sure he didn't open a portal to Destiny Islands, though, just in case someone followed. Instead, he steered his glider into Land of Dragons. The glider appeared just outside the bamboo thicket, a santuary on one of Sora's past travels. This would do for now.

Light didn't feel Destiny Island's warm air like she expected to. Instead, the air was more raw, and colder. She opened her eyes that were briefly shut and blinked, seeing that they were near a bamboo forest. She had been to this world before, even if she wasn't in this area. What was it, again?
Riku lowered his glider to the ground and allowed his armor to fade away as he kept his arms on either side of Lightning, barricading her so she didn't fall off his bike. "We'll be safe here for the time being," he said softly, not wanting to disturb the peace this place clearly had.

Light nodded faintly, her head lowered as her eyes fell half-shut. "Do you have a potion?" she asked softly. She didn't know how to summon the sword without the armor yet, and armor on top of her burns would have been a bad thing. But she would do it if she needed to. The burning was too bad to ignore.
"Mm," Riku hummed, moving one hand to his pocket as he dug one out. He tossed it overhead, looking to Lightning as it rained down over her form. She briefly glowed a faint green, but it faded once the potion set in. He kept his position behind her, though, not wanting to move. He didn't want to hurt her, but he also didn't want to be away from her. She was finally awake. He never got to cherish that because of Xigbar and Larxene.

Light felt the wound fade away, her figure relaxing at it. She exhaled a soft breath and finally leaned back into Riku completely, arms folded over her stomach in silence. It was all okay...for now. This place was totally random; it wouldn't be a place that they would search. If they would search at all.
Riku let the side of his face rest in Lightning's soft hair, his eyes closing as he released a heavy breath. She was alive, awake, in his arms. He couldn't have been more relieved for that. He had been so worried, and terrified when he sensed Darkness in her house. He never wanted to go through that again, but he knew it was inevitable. Xigbar wouldn't stop until he got what he wanted.

Light leaned the side of her head against Riku's, her eyes falling shut. She could still feel the weakness from the big fight against Xemnas and Ansem, and the use of Etro's powers. She had to stop using them; it seemed like they would always sap her strength. Even now she just wanted to pass out in Riku's hold, but she refused to fall into that. It felt like she had been unconscious for a while before Xigbar and Larxene came to her.
"You're finally awake," Riku whispered softly, only a few bird calls being heard in the distance, as well as the gentle trinkle of the river nearby. "If only it were under better circumstances..." Then he could have truly celebrated it. She had been out for days, which scared him. But something had to have been going on with Lightning in order for her to sleep so long. But what?
  • Author
"How long?" Light whispered, referring to her period of unconsciousness. Since Riku said she was "finally" awake, that had to mean that she was out for a while. The last she remembered was waking up the night of the fight and having Riku heal her wounds and then lure her to sleep. That was it.
"A few days," Riku admitted quietly, his eyes finding the bamboo thicket only a few yards away. They could go in there and rest when Lightning was ready, but until then, he would stay right here with her. Keeping his glider here wouldn't sap his strength, thank goodness.
  • Author
"And still not fully recovered," Light mumbled in disgust, shaking her head slightly. She probably shouldn't have said those words out loud; Riku was worried enough over her. She would probably sleep for another day or two to fully recover from the extreme sapping of her strength. She needed to find a way to avoid that, and not using Etro's powers was out of the question. She needed them now.
Riku moved one arm from his form of a barricade, instead wrapping it around Lightning's front, over her t-shirt. It was soft against his skin, but he kept Lightning close this way. He didn't want to hear that kind of thing, but what could he do? He casted Cure spells every day to try and get her to come to, but it didn't work...

"It's alright," Light said softly, her eyes shut as she leaned her head against Riku's. She wasn't referring to Etro sapping her powers, because that clearly wasn't alright, but it was alright that Riku couldn't take that weakness from her. She knew that he had been thinking about it.
"No, it's not," Riku said, turning his head a little more towards Lightning's. His lips brushed her hair. "I'm supposed to protect you from this..." And he was failing miserably. It was discouraging, and it made him feel awful about himself.
  • Author
"You can't," Light breathed, turning her head towards Riku's a little even if her eyes remained shut. "I'm the one who let myself be at Etro's mercy. It's because of her this is happening..." She was probably trying to force Lightning to come and serve her. And if Lightning didn't, she would always be weak. What a sick scenario.
Riku's hold only tightened around Lightning, the boy releasing a soft breath through his nose. He kissed her temple lightly, his eyes closing at the news. How could he just accept that? He loved Lightning; he wanted to take care of her, always. How could he just accept the fact that it wasn't possible?

Light didn't move, glad to be in Riku's embrace. Though she wished she could embrace him back, she wasn't about to move out of his hold. She had missed him, after all. Even if she had been the one unconscious for the past few days, she still had missed seeing his eyes and feeling the warmth of his embrace.
Riku pulled his lips from Lightning's forehead and turned his gaze to the sanctuary just inside the forest. "Let's go," he prodded gently, loosening his hold on Lightning's waist. They would be more comfortable in there, not on his glider.

Light nodded faintly, managing to get off the glider and set her feet on the ground as she stood beside it. It was then that she remembered that she was only wearing socks, but she didn't care. If another fight came up, she'd summon her armor. If not, she'd just be barefoot. It didn't matter.
Riku climbed off his glider, the bike disappearing a second later. The young man reached for Lightning's hand and glanced over at her as he started leading her into the santuary. They needed to unwind, considering what just happened. It wasn't the best thing for Lightning to wake up to, that was for sure.

Lightning grasped Riku's hand in return as they walked, though they didn't have to walk far. She sat down on the ground without thinking or caring about if her clothes got dirty or not, figuring they'd head home fairly soon. It was pretty obvious Riku brought them here because they were almost undoubtedly safe here.
Riku sat down beside Lightning in silence, a small breath leaving him as he took in the quiet. It was a complete contrast from what they just experienced, but Riku was just thankful for Ixion and his help. The summon allowed Riku to get to Lightning...
