Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning slipped her hand out of Riku's, instead wrapping her arms around his stomach and lower back as she brought herself closer to him. She set her head on his shoulder, soft eyes gazing over the area. It was nice, but not nice enough that she'd want to stay forever. As soon as it was safe, she wanted to go home.
Riku wrapped one arm around Lightning's shoulders, keeping her close as he rested against a rock. What just happened, Sora and Kairi couldn't know. Nobody could; their lives were getting back on track, so this was solely Riku and Lightning's problem now. It had to be. Riku wasn't going to let his friends suffer for something that involved him and his Keyblade.

"You seem like you're not okay," Light said softly after a few moments without moving. Riku was quiet, and clingy. She knew she was the one to scoot closer to him just now, but he was the one who held onto her so tightly when they were still on the glider. Did she miss something, or was he just upset about all that occurred with the villains?
"Mm," Riku hummed with the slightest shake of his head. He wasn't okay, at all. He had been worried sick about Lightning, afraid she was never going to wake up. And now he had four villains chasing him down for Xigbar's sake, and Lightning was dragged into the equation. How could he be okay after that?

"Talk to me," Lightning said softly, voice gentle despite the aggressiveness that she felt towards the villains who tried to use her as a hostage. They would have succeeded if it wasn't for a few key interventions. She hated how they ambushed her when she was still feeling weak...It was cowardly on their part that they weren't willing to face someone in full health.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed as he stared at the area ahead, avoiding eye contact. "I'm just...frustrated," he muttered lowly. "I was scared you wouldn't wake up, and I didn't know why... And now those four are causing trouble because of the Keyblade." They wanted his, and the only way Riku knew how to give it to them was through a Keyblade Inheritance Ceremony. But...he couldn't do that. It would only end in destruction.

"I can only think of one way to guarantee that you won't be pressured into passing your Keyblade onto them," Light said lowly, looking down. "And that's to pass it on to someone else." But Riku hadn't met his successor yet, from what she knew. She had met the boy when she was taken to the future. She felt like Ven told her where he was from, but she couldn't remember for sure where that was.
Riku shook his head, lowering his gaze to the woman he loved. "My successor isn't around yet," he revealed softly. He was sure Lightning knew that, but it was true. Terrian...the boy he had in his memories, hadn't made himself known to Riku just yet. If that was who Riku was truly supposed to hand the Keyblade off to, it wouldn't be any time soon.

"Maybe it's time to track him down," Light thought aloud, lifting her gaze to Riku as her head remained on his shoulder. She wasn't even sure if she was right, though. Terrian must have still been pretty young at this point. The future that she visited was about six years off now, and he had been fifteen then. So he was nine now. That was a bit early to receive the Keyblade.
Riku shook his head, closing his eyes as he sighed. "I can't do it out of desperation," he admitted. "It wouldn't be fair to him." Terra sensed the strength within Riku a long time ago; that was why he gave Riku this power. He couldn't make a mistake in choosing Terrian now just to get himself off the hook. That wouldn't be right.

"Mm," Light hummed with a small nod in understanding. "Okay." Then they only had one other option, and that was to just not let Xigbar get it, no matter what. Even if he threatened to kill her again, Riku couldn't give in. Xigbar wasn't the one who was meant to inherit Riku's Keyblade.
Riku opened his eyes, meeting Lightning's gaze instantly. "It's just me and you in this," he revealed softly. That was all it could be, just them. Nobody else could get involved right now, especially when things just got back to normal. He and Lightning would tackle this on their own.

Light held Riku's gaze for a moment, taking in what he said. It was just going to be the two of them who faced this problem. After a moment, she nodded. "Got it." Though it was dangerous not to let anyone in on anything, she knew why Riku wasn't. He didn't want to ruin their time of peace with troubles he felt were centered around him.
Riku lowered his lips to Lightning's pink hair, closing his eyes with the action before he pulled back. He let his chin rest atop her head as he held her, trying to relax while they had the time. He knew Xigbar; he wasn't going to stop his pursuit for the Keyblade. If Riku wouldn't give it to him, he would get someone else, which was why Riku had to end this before it spiraled out of control.

Light shut her eyes, feeling Riku's head rest on hers. She wanted to stay like this for as long as possible, but they couldn't stay here forever. One obvious reason was that it wasn't home. And the other-- "Jasmine," Lightning said randomly, eyes widening. Jasmine was still at her house, wounded!
Riku grunted at the name, his eyes opening instantly. "Ugh," he groaned. He completely forgot about her! She was hurt, at least from what he saw earlier. That was what snapped him out of his calm. "...We need to go home." He had to check on her, even if she was a dog.

Light released Riku from the side-hug, pushing herself to her feet right after that. It was time to head back. She hoped that Jazz was okay...the dog had leaped in to save her, after all. If she was hurt beyond healing, Light would have felt guilty.

A few days later

Jazz thankfully hadn't been hurt too badly, and Riku tended to her when he could, as well as Lightning. They were both getting better, which settled Riku's worries. Only slightly, though, since he was still on edge with what happened with Xigbar and Larxene, and Vexen and Zexion. They could show up at any time, but he would be ready. He wasn't going to fall for that trick again; Xigbar would never get his Keyblade. The thoughts caused Riku's eyebrows to pull together, a frown on his lips as he approached Lightning's condo. He had been staying there the past few days, not wanting to leave her side unless he had to, much like today. He and the others were still working on restoring the building, but that would take more than a week. It wasn't like that was the most important thing in his life anyway.

Light was sitting outside her house, wearing a tank top and shorts. She was waiting for Riku, naturally. She had tried going to work with him today, but he insisted that she get one more day of rest even if she was feeling alright. So, she stayed home with Jasmine and didn't dare try to actually sleep. If anyone showed up, that would have meant trouble. But it was another uneventful day. She blinked at the thought, sensing movement in front of her. It was then that she noticed Riku within her vision, looking unhappy.
Riku stared at the concrete, one hand holding his toolbelt over his shoulder while the other was stuffed in his pants pocket. He sensed a gaze on him and knew it was the woman he loved. He was glad that she was at least outside, getting some fresh air. She needed the peace.

Lightning rose to her feet and walked the rest of the distance between her and Riku. She stopped right in front of him, lightly grasping the toolbelt. "Ditch the tools," she said, shifting her gaze to his eyes. "We have plans." And they weren't bad plans, either. It was something that would break the tension for a while.
Riku stopped walking when Lightning appeared in front of him, and he briefly eyed her attire before his expression changed; it went from frustration to confusion instantly. "Plans?" he checked. What kind of plans did she have in mind? He wasn't really in the mood to go out and do anything.
  • Author
"Yup," Light responded, a corner of her lips turning up in the slightest smirk. "C'mon." She lightly tugged at the toolbelt again, though she wouldn't yank it off his shoulder. She wanted to start having fun right away, for both her sake and Riku's. They had been going crazy the past few days with their stress.
Riku's eyebrow quirked, and he glanced at her hand on his toolbelt before he did as she said. He lowered it from his shoulder and tossed it into the grass next to the porch. "Light..." he said in confusion. What was going on with her?

Light's slight smirk only grew. She leaned up and gave him a small kiss on the lips before she went back to her previous position. She reached for his hand and started leading him away from her home, knowing the path that they would take to get to their destination. It was probably a ten minute walk from her house.
