Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku pulled back from the kiss when something felt off with Lightning, but that wasn't the only thing he sensed. He looked at her, eyebrows furrowing before he looked around. It suddenly got cold, the breeze only making it worse. But...the sun was still out. Riku released Lightning's arms just as he felt his feet become ice cold. Looking down, he noticed that they were starting to become coated in ice. He grunted, taking a step back while he still could. "What...?"

Lightning grunted, knowing this feeling. "Vexen," she breathed. She had been victim to this spell before, or one similar to it. Her feet were too frozen in a block of ice for her to move, and that prompted her to try and summon her sword. But as soon as she tried bringing her hands in front of her, she realized that they two were frozen. And it was only her wrists, feet, and ankles that were frozen. Why wasn't Vexen freezing their whole bodies?

Vexen appeared at the sound of his name, only standing a few feet from the couple. "Clever girl," he voiced with a sinister smile. "I'm quite impressed."

It's not that hard to figure out, Riku wanted to snap, but he was too focused on the ice encircling his wrists. His feet were already frozen as he looked over at the man. "What are you doing?" he growled. Why was he just freezing their hands and feet? It didn't make any sense.

"I'm here to inform you of the group's decision," Vexen began, his green eyes flicking between Lightning and Riku as he spoke. "We've come to the conclusion that you two are no longer of any use to us, so we'll no longer be bothering you with any of our future endeavors."

"And you're freezing us while telling us this good news, because...?" Lightning growled, waiting for Vexen to fill in the blank. It was actually good news that he was telling them that they would be left alone, but at the same time, confusing. Why were they giving up on them so randomly? Why were they even telling them instead of letting them live in fear?

"We have a new goal in mind, one that doesn't involve the two of you," Vexen restated with the same ugly smile. "With that said, we feel there is no longer any reason for you to live. I have come to say farewell."

"What?!" Riku cried in outrage. He was going to kill them! He didn't have any more time to think about it, though, because Vexen suddenly summoned his shield to his hand before conjuring up a strong Aero spell. He sent the wind toward Lightning first, causing Riku's eyes to widen. With the ice around her ankles and feet, she wouldn't be able to hold her ground. "No!"

Lightning grunted at the spell, only able to brace herself so much against the strong wind that was sent at her. Unable to do anything at all, she felt her frozen feet leave the ground as she was sent backwards, off the edge of the cliff. The only thing that she was able to do in the air was Hanover herself so that she went feet-first into the water. Not that that was much of a benefit to her. This isn't good, she thought as she started sinking deeper.
Riku didn't have time to yell at Vexen, because as soon as he turned his head to look at the man, the wind knocked him off his feet. He cried out as he fell off the cliff, falling in on his back, having not had the time to prepare himself for the impact. His feet were pulled down first, though, most of the ice putting weight there. He opened his eyes and stared as he started to sink toward the ocean floor below. He ground his teeth, fighting to lift his arms, but it was no use. Vexen!

Light lifted her gaze when something blocked the sunlight, that something being Riku. He was going to land close to her. A sudden plan sparked inside her mind and she briefly shut her eyes, focusing and praying that she could do what she needed to do. She managed to summon her sword to her hands behind her back without bringing the armor along with it, that being a first. Now if she could remember the spell that would surround her sword in flames, she could thaw Riku out of his bindings when he landed by her.
Riku couldn't feel his feet, but he could tell he stopped sinking. He turned his head when he saw a brief flash of light, noticing that Lightning had her sword. He eyed her with a puzzled gaze, but he then focused back on his hands stuck at his sides. Even as strong as he was, he couldn't lift them; Vexen put extra ice on his wrists to make sure he didn't get out of this alive. Riku gritted his teeth and fought the ice, trying to lift his hand so he could summon the Keyblade, but it wasn't working. No...

That was a lucky landing, Light thought, gazing over her shoulder at Riku. He was right by her. She grasped her sword more tightly in her unfrozen hand and got it as close to Riku's one side as she could, the sword being surrounded in flames as she held it steady. She couldn't tell, but it was starting to unthaw one of Riku's bindings.
Riku suddenly felt warmth near his hand, and he turned his head in that direction to see a glow on the tip of Lightning's blade. He looked at her in shock, wondering what she was doing. Was she...using a Fire spell under water?

Lightning looked over her shoulder, seeing that her sword was fully surrounded by flames and melting a lot of the ice that bound Riku's one hand. She jerked her head to motion for him to start trying to break free while she shifted the best she could and got closer to the ice that kept Riku's other hand by his side. She could free him...but at the rate this was going, she wouldn't have time to free herself. She was already feeling the need for air.
Riku didn't ask questions, not that he could. He nodded to Lightning's demand and started pulling at his restraints. Within a few tries, he broke free, already beginning to feel the ice that bound his other hand start to melt. He glanced over at Lightning and noticed that she was still bound, which only encouraged him to summon the Keyblade. It welcomed his call immediately, and he tried his own Fire spell to free his ankles and feet. Slowly, it started to work, but...what about Lightning? If I can free myself, I can get her out of here, he reasoned. He was strong enough. He could do it.

Everything started getting fuzzy, that being because of the fact that Light needed air. I can't... she thought desperately, sinking down to her knees. Her flaming sword stabbed the ground behind her and helped more with melting the ice on Riku's ankles, but only for a few moments. When Lightning's world got foggier, she lost more strength and her sword faded away completely. It didn't look like they were going to make it...
"Light!" Riku cried into the water, but his holler was nothing more than a murmur under the surface. He took his Keyblade and started knocking the blade against his ankles, which was easier considering they were halfway thawed out. Once the ice was gone, his body wanted to float to the surface, but he didn't let it. He turned his Keyblade into a glider, knowing that summoning it under water was a long shot, but it didn't matter. Riku swam toward Lightning and grasped her from underneath her arms, lifting her despite the blocks that weighed her down; his adrenaline was giving him a boost in strength. He managed to maneuver himself toward the glider as he started to feel the air in his lungs give out, the young man losing more of it as he hauled Lightning onto the machine. He then climbed aboard, holding onto Lightning with one arm as he ordered his glider out of the water. It soared to the surface and into the air, causing Riku to gasp for breath as he guided his glider toward land. Lightning...stay with me...

Light's neck was bent back when she was sitting in Riku's lap on the glider, air suddenly surrounding the two of them once he broke them free of the water. She already had too much water in her lungs to gasp for air. She coughed weakly, barely conscious because of the suffocation. Her life was slipping away...the fogginess in her mind kept getting worse with each second that passed.
Riku glanced down at Lightning, her head hanging over his arm. "Stay with me," he told her, moving the glider toward land. He descended, happy that Lightning was even coughing. It meant she was still alive, but he couldn't imagine how much water she had in her lungs...

Light didn't respond. If anything, her body became a little more limp in Riku's arms after he spoke. There was nothing she could do when she couldn't even breathe. Her chest felt too heavy for her to even start coughing. Another weak cough left her lips, weaker than before as her grasp on reality faded away more. She knew she had to hold on; she couldn't let this take her, but there was no real way to fight it. She was only human.
Riku had just landed his glider at the cough, and he looked at the woman he loved. "Lightning," he called, shaking her a little. It didn't make a difference, even from what he could see; she was fading. He moved off his glider in a flash, getting down on his knees in the grass as he set her down. Her feet and wrists were still covered with ice, but what mattered now was that he got her to breathe. "Lightning!"

Claire was truly unconscious now, Riku's shake and movement to the ground not shaking her out of it. She didn't want to die, though! She wanted to stay with Riku, forever! No way could she just wait for this lack of oxygen to overtake her. There had to be a way to be able to breathe!
Riku's eyes widened, a grunt leaving him when he felt his heart already falling apart. Lightning had it... If she died, so would he. Riku instantly started performing CPR, pressing down on Lightning's chest as he looked at her. "C'mon, Lightning," he said. She couldn't leave him now...

Lightning's eyebrows furrowed, both at the compressions and the voice she heard. Already fighting back, she made her way back to consciousness fairly quickly. She started coughing faintly, trying to get this water out of her lungs. She could do it; she was one step closer to being free of this suffocation...
The small cough wasn't enough for Riku; he continued pressing down on Lightning's chest, wanting the love of his life back completely. She couldn't leave him now... They had so much they had to do. She had to stay and be with him, and he wasn't about to let her go. "Light," he said again, his voice strict. Breathe.

Lightning would have lifted one of her hands to push Riku away, but her hands were still bound behind her back. So, she did the only thing she could do. She turned her head to the side and coughed up a large amount of water, eyebrows furrowed over her shut eyes. As the water left, she felt the ability to breathe return again. She gasped for air, breathing ragged as she also coughed to try and get more water out and get more air in at the same time.
Riku backed off the moment Lightning started coughing more, his wide eyes resting on her. Thank goodness, he thought with a heavy breath. Vexen hadn't succeeded. That was important to him most; Lightning was alive.
