Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light forced herself to calm down, her breathing returning so that she wasn't coughing anymore. The water was out and the air was in. She was alright now. She turned her head against the grass so the back of her head was against it, her eyes flickering open to see the young man who was above her and managed to bring her to the surface for air. Her best friend, lover, and hero.
Riku put his hand on Lightning's shoulder and slowly turned her over. He then placed his free hand on the ice encasing Lightning's wrists, focusing a Dark Aura spell on it to thaw it out. It worked, but slowly. His breathing was heavy from the lack of oxygen and the panic that coursed through his body, the young man still scared for the love of his life. He almost lost her.

Light's torso was turned to the side a little more, so that Riku could unthaw the ice around her wrists. She let her eyes fall shut again as she tried to gather herself more and let the adrenaline fade. It was over; she could calm down now. She felt a small shiver run through her, though, both because of Riku's dark energy being so close to her and because of the ice.
"Sorry," Riku mumbled lowly, aware that the Darkness bothered Lightning. He didn't like that something from him did such a thing, but it couldn't be helped. He melted the ice unstil he could pull it off with his hands, freeing Lightning's wrists. He then moved to her feet, using Dark Aura on them as well.

"I'm the one who's sorry," Lightning returned softly, still laying down as she moved her hands to be in front of her. She started rubbing her wrists, her eyes closed as Riku worked on freeing her feet. She was sorry that she couldn't hold her breath longer and do more than just free him; she had been hoping to thaw herself out at least a little bit too, so that she wouldn't be a burden to him. But she was a burden just now.
Riku glanced over at Lightning, his eyes still sharp with fear, but also anger at Vexen for what he nearly did. "Why?' he asked softly, letting his spell continue to thaw out Lightning's foot. He would move on to the other in a second.
  • Author
"For not being able to do more," Lightning responded, eyebrows furrowed faintly as she turned and sat herself up. She looked down at her feet, starting to get some sensation again. It was faint, though, for obvious reasons. They were frozen for quite a few minutes because of that jerk Vexen.
Riku moved his hand that was glowing with Dark Aura over to Lightning's other foot, but he let his free hand massage the one he just did. He wanted to do what he could to help her feel better, and if it was as small of a thing as helping her get feeling back in her foot, he would do that. "You could only do what you could," he said softly. "That was enough." It was enough for him to get to her and save her. That was what mattered.

I guess, Light silently agreed, lowering her head as she felt Riku try to sooth her. She didn't want to argue with his logic, which she understood and had to agree with. "Thanks," she said quietly, referring to multiple things. For saving her, and for taking the time to free her. And for not blaming her for anything, though she knew she did all that she could do, like he said.
"Mm," Riku hummed with a small nod, focusing on Lightning's thawing foot. After a moment it was melted enough that he could brush the ice-turned-slush away. He moved his focus solely to that foot, massaging it instead. He was just grateful they were both alive. If Lightning hadn't thought of the idea, they would both be at the bottom of the ocean.

"You don't have to do that," Light said softly, lifting her head faintly to look at Riku. It was alright; he didn't have to cater to her. She wanted to make sure that he was okay too, after all. It had been both of them at the bottom of the ocean, not just her. Both of them were almost...She curled her hand into a fist, eyebrows furrowing as she looked down at her lap. Vexen will pay.
Riku set Lightning's foot down at the look on her face, and he crawled over to be next to her. He put one hand on the other side of her and lifted the other to her chin, tilting it up. "Hey, look at me..." he requested gently, his eyes on her face.

Light felt herself soften when Riku moved closer, in tune with her emotions. Still, when she opened her eyes and gazed at him, there were traces of anger in her pale blue orbs. Looking into his eyes, she could see anger as well as fear and worry. Riku was an open book to her, but probably not to anybody else.
Riku looked at Lightning, his hand moving from her chin to her cheek as he caressed her face. "...Thank you," he said, gratitude heavy in his voice. She saved him...and if she didn't do that, he wouldn't have been able to save her. That meant the world to him.

Light blinked, the gratitude unexpected. "For what?" she asked immediately, though it then struck her what he was probably thanking her for. She thawed out his ice when they were underwater. Her tactical mind and her ability to stay calm was what saved them, along with the powers Etro gave her. Looking back now, she couldn't believe how calm she was...
Riku nodded slightly when he saw the look in Lightning's eyes; she understood what he meant. The question didn't need to be answered. He looked at her for another moment before he leaned forward, pressing a kiss to her lips. He held it for a moment, his eyebrows furrowing due to his fear and the want to get his feelings for Lightning across, but then he pulled back. "...I love you."
  • Author
"I love you too," Claire breathed, eyes shut from the kiss as she lifted a cool hand to sit on Riku's bare shoulder. She gripped it lightly, thinking about what could have been. Despite the fact that Vexen said that he was done with them, they weren't done with him. They would hunt him down and make him pay for his attempt to murder them.
Riku leaned his forehead against Lightning's then, releasing a soft breath. There was no doubt in his mind that he and Lightning would get back at Vexen, but right now...he just wanted to go home. After nearly getting killed, he just wanted to relax and take in the life he was glad he still had.

Some day of fun this turned out to be, Light thought, grasping Riku's shoulder a little more tightly. Still, she didn't say anything or let her tension be known. Someday, she and Riku would have their peace. Hopefully someday soon.
Riku leaned forward again to place a small kiss on Lightning's lips, but then he pulled back to look at her. "Let's go home," he said softly. And when he said "home," he meant her place. He had been staying there the past few days, after all. It was where he felt he was meant to be right now, and by Light's side.

Light's eyes remained shut for a few moments when she nodded, a soft answer leaving her lips. "Right." She withdrew her hand from Riku's shoulder as her eyes opened, setting it on the ground instead as she started rising to her feet. It was time for both of them to head to a place where they would hopefully have peace.
Riku rose to his feet as well, figuring he and Lightning could walk to their destination. He would fly back to get their clothes later. Right now, neither of them wanted to return to that cliff, where they were nearly murdered. They just needed to be with each other, in the closed confines of Lightning's home.

On another part of the Island, completely unaware of what just occurred with two of her friends, Namine sat on the beach along with Roxas. He had gotten off work a little while ago and she thought it'd be nice if they had some alone-time. But of course, she knew he would be hungry and tired after working all day, so that was why they weren't doing anything strenuous. They were just sitting on the beach together and snacking on some food that Namine brought. She made Roxas a sandwich and brought along some cookies, one of which she nibbled on then.
Roxas lay on his back on the blanket Namine brought, one hand cradling the back of his head as the other held a sandwich. He bit into it as he stared up at the sky, his mind wandering. The last couple days he had been losing sleep, simply because he kept having dreams about Xion. Again. And now, he was seeing her every once in a while. Again. He didn't get it; he thought he was past this phase.

Namine was sitting up on the blanket, gazing at the ocean in front of her. She and Roxas had been quiet around each other, sure, but this time...it felt like they weren't even together. This is hard, she thought sadly, only nibbling on the cookie because she was losing her appetite. She wanted to support Roxas and was trying everything she could think of, but it felt like they were growing distant. It scared her.
