Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Xion blinked, surprised. "You...remember?" she asked, shock evident in her tone. She glanced over at Namine, who looked like she felt awkward, before looking back at Roxas. Namine didn't remember, but Roxas did. When did he remember? And how? Did his memories return once she did?
Roxas nodded again, taking a small step forward. Was his best friend really here? She couldn't be... It wasn't even possible. He watched her turn to crystal and disappear before his eyes. She couldn't exist, but...she was right in front of him! This can't be a dream...

Namine stepped out of Roxas's way when he was closer, though Xion's eyes remained on Roxas. Her blush remained as a small smile formed on her lips. "I've missed you, Roxas," she said sincerely. He was her only friend. As soon as she was alive again, she started searching for him. And now she found him.
Roxas gazed at Xion for a moment, taking in her words. She missed him? After what he did to her? His blue eyes managed to tear themselves away from Xion's face as he looked to Namine. "...You see her too, right?" he asked softly, then glancing back at Xion. He wasn't hallucinating again?

"Yes, Roxas," Namine said softly. "This is real life." She already knew he was thinking something else, like that he was making this up. In a selfish sort of way, she wished he was. The way that he looked at her made Namine feel threatened. Little did she know that the feeling was also felt on Xion's side with how Roxas looked at her.
Roxas glanced over at Namine again, actually surprised by what she said: "This is real life." That meant Xion was actually in front of him, only a few feet away. Roxas's hands balled into fists as he fought the urge to tackle her in a hug, having missed his best friend...and who was a little something more.

Namine glanced over at Roxas again and then made a rash decision. "I'll, um, let you two catch up," she said. She stood still for only a moment before she turned and walked back to where she and Roxas were before to clean up the stuff from their picnic. She felt like she didn't belong with him right now. And she didn't want to see him looking at Xion in the same way that he looked at her again. That deep love was something she thought only belonged to her.
Roxas opened his mouth to speak, to tell Namine she didn't have to go, but she was already gone. His eyes followed her until he couldn't turn his head anymore, which was when he looked back to the person in front of him. His eyes lingered on her hair and face the most; she had more defined features, but the look in her eyes was still the same. And Xion's hair was longer, but it suited her. You've changed.

Now that Namine finally decided to leave, Xion felt more comfortable with Roxas. "Can I...?" she asked, stretching out her arms to show what she wanted. It had been far too long since she had seen Roxas. She just wanted to hold onto him for a while, if she was allowed to.
Roxas blinked, but it was only out of surprise. A hug was what she wanted? "Heh," Roxas laughed weakly, a smile finally forming. He nodded and closed the distance, walking up to his long lost friend and wrapping his arms around her upper back. The last time he held her, she had been dying. For that reason, Roxas barely held Xion, afraid she might turn to crystal and shatter in front of him again.

Xion held onto Roxas more tightly than he held her, turning her head on his shoulder like a girlfriend would. She could sense Namine's gaze briefly on her, and she smiled at it and shut her eyes. Though she and Roxas never spoke about their feelings, she knew the truth: she loved him, and he loved her. For those reasons, she wouldn't stop until he belonged to her. They were meant to be.
A part of Roxas wanted to ask why and how Xion was here, but another part of him just wanted to ignore his questions and accept that she was alive and well. "...I missed you too," he finally replied, remembering she had said that earlier. The side of his face was pressed into Xion's dark hair, a small smile on his lips.

Namine finished packing up the picnic stuff, daring to look up at Roxas and Xion just one more time. She felt a blush creeping into her cheeks along with a feeling of hurt in her heart. That was an intimate hug. She knew Roxas had feelings for Xion, but seeing just how extreme they were startled Namine. She was afraid of losing him. She picked up the basket and walked the opposite direction, walking quickly. She needed some privacy, just like Roxas and Xion apparently did.
Roxas continued to hold Xion, though he pulled back from the embrace after a small minute. He looked at her face, examining the eyes he had seen slowly losing their light a few years ago. "...Where have you been?" he asked after some hesitation. He was afraid of the answer, but he had to ask.

"Looking for you," Xion responded, not daring to keep her hands on Roxas's waist. Not yet. "I've been alive a few years now, living in Traverse Town, but I didn't remember anything until recently. As soon as I did, I tried finding you..." And she finally did. She wasn't alone anymore.
Roxas's hands rested on Xion's shoulders as his small smile remained. He was silent again, just looking at her. When he caught himself doing it, he shook his head and laughed softly. "Sorry, I...I just can't believe you're really here," he admitted. It was a hard thing to grasp.

Xion laughed, shaking her head faintly. "Don't apologize," she insisted. "I know. I'm happy too." She was sad that he took his hands away from her, but hopefully that wouldn't happen too much more. After all, she hoped that Roxas would be hers soon. That was where they left off years ago.
Roxas just smiled, his eyes on the blue he used to see every day while in the Organization. So, I didn't really destroy you? he wanted to ask. Xion said she was in Traverse Town the last few years; did that mean she wasn't really dead when she disappeared?

Xion wrapped her arms around Roxas again, hoping he didn't ask anymore questions. And she hoped that he didn't think of Namine at all. Xion remembered that girl, so soft-spoken and sweet. She was weak. She didn't deserve to have somebody as great as Roxas in her life. She would have to make it very clear to the blonde that she no longer played a role in Roxas's life now that Xion was around.
Roxas looked at Xion out of the corner of his eye when she hugged him again, and he returned it wholeheartedly. You're back, he thought with glee. He couldn't believe it! His best friend was actually back in his life now... They had so much catching up to do.

Later that night

Never had Namine been so thankful that Kairi was out. She was spending the evening and night with Sora. She hadn't even been around to see Namine since Xion's reappearance, so she didn't know how distraught the blonde was. She was sitting in the living room of her apartment, feverishly drawing in her sketchbook. She hadn't decided what she was drawing yet, but she was drawing nonetheless. She had to distract herself from the thought of what Roxas and Xion could be up to. He hadn't called or texted all day.

Roxas walked with Xion in the town square, laughing softly at one of her jokes she made about Axel as he fished his phone out of his pocket. They had hung out all afternoon, and he showed her around the Islands. He even got her some ice cream as a "welcome back" kind of gift. But, they still had to find somewhere for her to stay, and Roxas knew where someone had some room.

Namine stopped drawing, pulling her pencil away to see what she had done. The results of her work made her groan. It looked nothing like Riku's dog; it looked more like a piece of furniture or something of the sort. This is why you shouldn't draw when you're upset, she told herself, crumbling up the page before dropping it to the ground. You shouldn't be upset in the first place, another voice told her. You should trust Roxas more; he wouldn't let anything happen with Xion just because she showed up. The voice was lying, and it made her feel sick to her stomach. Something was going on between those two; Namine just knew it.
Roxas held up a finger to tell Xion to wait a second as he pushed the speed dial on his phone, ringing Namine. He needed to ask her for a favor, and he wanted to see how she was doing; he hadn't spoken to her since the beach earlier that day. He distanced himself from Xion by a few yards, allowing the hustle and bustle of the square to drown out his voice when the time came.

Namine jumped when her cell phone started vibrating on the coffee table in front of her. Scolding herself for her jumpiness, she reached for it and saw the caller ID: Roxas. Though she should have been happy he was calling, she was more nervous than anything. Still, she pushed a button and brought it to her ear before even thinking about not answering it. "Hello?"
