A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Aqua's eyes grew in size at that number. Eleven years? "Oh..." she said softly, her eyes falling downcast. She had been stuck in the Realm of Darkness for eleven years? Then what happened to Terra? And was Ven still safe where she left him? There were so many things she missed while she was gone...

Sora lifted a hand, running it over the back of his head when he saw Aqua's facial expression change. This was probably all surprising to her, and she had yet to know about the Heartless, Nobodies, and Organization XIII. There was so much that she needed to learn...

Aqua slowly lifted her hands to the center of her chest, something she often did when distressed. "I'm afraid I've been gone too long," she admitted. How much changed over her time in Darkness? The children she once met were now much older, and they held extreme amounts of power within them. But, what about everyone and everything else?

 

Riku's eyebrows furrowed at the way Aqua said that, his eyes going to his friends. She didn't seem okay, but they still had a lot to clue her in on. Maybe they needed to take it slow...

"I'm sure some things are the same way that you left them," Sora assured her softly, somehow knowing that what he said was true. Whatever people she met during her life were probably still alive and well. In the back of his mind, he wondered if she had ever met any of the people he knew today from other worlds. Aladdin, Beast, Hercules...had she met any of them?

Aqua nodded slightly, though her head stayed lowered. When Sora said that, she immediately thought of Ven. She hoped he wasn't still sleeping, and for the last eleven years. That would be awful. And Terra... She didn't even know what to think.

Sora ran his hand over the back of his head once more before he forced himself to lower it to his side, knowing that h performed that action whenever things felt awkward. "Is there anything you want to know about?" he asked, wondering if she had questions about certain friends in other worlds. If that was the case, maybe he could help her out.

Aqua finally lifted her gaze, looking at Sora. She nodded. "Yes," she said. "When I was in the Realm of Darkness, I was told that the worlds nearly fell to the Darkness more than once. What happened?" Her eyes darted from Sora to Riku, believing they would have the answers. They wielded the Keyblade, so it was them that helped defeat the Darkness, right?

Sora glanced over at Riku before he decided that he would answer Aqua's question. However, he didn't directly tell her everything; that would have been too much too quickly. "About ten years ago, a threat appeared. The Heartless. They're creatures devoid of hearts and they attack people to steal their hearts. It's how they're formed."

"Heartless..." Aqua's eyebrows furrowed slightly. The only enemies she was aware of were the Unversed, but ever since Vanitas's defeat, they were no longer around. But the Heartless... They went after people's hearts? That was much more dangerous.

 

"But they don't only go after people's hearts," Riku added, crossing his arms over his chest. "They also seek the heart of the worlds. If they find it, the world disappears. It becomes shrouded in Darkness."

Sora nodded in agreement to Riku's addition, but then he continued explaining. "Over a year ago, when Riku and I first used our Keyblades, a lot of the worlds were disappearing to Darkness," he said, eyebrows furrowed slightly. Even this world had been lost to Darkness. That memory never sat well with him, the teen recalling the events of that night vividly in his mind.

Aqua listened intently, staying silent so the boys could continue with their explanation. Worlds fell to Darkness, but things seemed peaceful now. Because of that, she knew the boys did their jobs in protecting the Light and restoring it. But what else happened?

"A witch named Maleficent captured seven Princesses of Heart, and she used them to reveal a Keyhole that would lead her to Kingdom Hearts. She was close; she had six of the seven hearts required to find it, but..." Sora glanced over at Kairi at that, knowing that the Keyhole wasn't immediately opened because her heart was inside of him.

Aqua's eyes widened at two familiar names: Maleficent, and Kingdom Hearts. But her gaze fell on Kairi when Sora looked over at her, and she remembered how much Light she sensed within the girl in the past. She was supposed to be protected, and... "You protected her," Aqua said softly, glancing at Sora before looking back at Kairi. Her Light had been saved.

 

Kairi shyly looked from Aqua over to the boy she loved. She silently squeezed his hand, remembering what happened back then. Her heart found him, and he rescued her from Darkness. He was her hero.

Sora looked away from Kairi, nodding to Aqua. "Kairi's heart was the one missing from the equation," he explained. "When the Heartless attacked this Island, her heart took residence in me for protection. So, when Malificent just had Kairi's body, she couldn't open the Keyhole." And then, after that, Xehanort's Heartless came into the picture.

"And where was this Keyhole?" Aqua asked, absorbing this information quickly. She was grateful things obviously hadn't gone according to plan, since one of the Princesses was right in front of her.

 

"In a castle on a world called Hollow Bastion," Riku answered with a small nod, voice low with the memories of what happened there. That hadn't been the best time for anyone, and it was hard to reflect on, but Aqua needed the information now. It was important.

 

Kairi noticed Aqua's new expression at the name, and she knew that she was confused. "It used to be Radiant Garden...Aqua," she said sadly. That world had been destroyed by the Heartless, even if it was being restored to its former glory.

Sora glanced over at Kairi, nodding in agreement. That's right...Hollow Bastion used to be a thriving world under Ansem the Wise. And eleven years ago, it must have still be called Radiant Garden.

Aqua blinked in shock, but she turned her head to look somewhere else other than at the teens. Radiant Garden... It had been such a magnificent place, and now it was gone?

 

Kairi saw Aqua's expression, and she also diverted her gaze to the ground. Her home had been destroyed, but at least there were people like Leon and the gang who were trying to restore it to what it used to be.

"Uh, anyway," Sora said, getting back on track. "Maleficent was defeated, but there was another man who was controlling the Heartless and seeking Kingdom Hearts. When he discovered that Kairi's heart was inside me, he was determined to kill me and release it so that the Keyhole would be opened." He hadn't succeeded, but...

Aqua let her gaze return to Sora, picking up on every word. Another man? Who could that be?

 

"But he didn't get away with it," Riku continued from where Sora left off. "Some complications got in the way." He was one of those complications, but that could be mentioned later.

Sora glanced at Riku, keeping the details of Riku's part in things a secret for now. "I won the battle against him, but he left behind his Keyblade that was meant to unlock my heart," he said. "And I knew what I had to do to free Kairi's heart, so I sacrificed myself and she got her heart back." At that thought, he glanced over at Kairi, subconsciously squeezing her hand.

At the light squeeze, Kairi turned her head to look at Sora. "...And I did my part not long after that," she said softly. She kept her eyes locked with Sora's for another long second before lifting her sight to Aqua. "Even though Sora was in the form of a Heartless, I could tell that he was still there. Somehow, my heart reached his and he came back."

Sora nodded, looking at Kairi a moment longer before he switched his gaze to Aqua. "After that, I fought the man and I won. The worlds that were lost to Darkness were restored." Destiny Islands came back after that battle, as did any other world that had been taken by Darkness.

Aqua nodded, the faintest smile appearing on her lips at the peace that obviously appeared after the man's defeat. But, that brought up a question that had been bugging her since the mention of the person. "Who was this man?" she asked.

 

Riku's eyes left Aqua then, looking over at Sora. He was doing pretty well at revealing this story, so he would let him reveal the name.

Sora glanced over at Riku, but he quickly figured out that Riku wanted him to keep explaining things. "He called himself 'Ansem', but he stole that name from somebody else. He was really the Heartless of another man named Xehanort."

Aqua gasped, a hand coming up to her mouth. The name caused her eyes to widen as well, truly shocked. That name... Xehanort!

 

Kairi blinked at Aqua's sudden start, slightly confused. What was wrong? Did she know Xehanort or something?
