Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Terra turned around with Riku, his blade appearing in his hand as he automatically got into his stance. He remembered this from the last time he took the test, only the orbs had been moving. He hadn't thought about that in a very long time though, and he wasn't about to dwell on it now that he was in the middle of a test.

"You may begin," Master Yen Sid said, feeling as if the two Keyblade wielders understood what the purpose of this test was. Proving him right, Terra ran forward and slashed at one of the orbs closest to him.

Aqua watched in silence beside Master Yen Sid as Riku jumped into the first test as well. Her eyes darted from one of her friends to the other, having faith in both of them. After all, one was the other's successor. Surely they would both do well.

Ventus watched from the sidelines, keeping a close eye on Terra. Unlike the last test, nothing unexpected was happening. At least, nothing that he was noticing until a bit later.

Master Yen Sid watched the Keyblade wielders destroying the orbs, and when they were getting low, he summoned more of them. However, there was a twist. They dropped down from the sky, and Terra and Riku would have to pay close attention to avoid them and successfully destroy them. He would notice if they slipped up, and that would have been bad since they should have expected the unexpected.

Riku glanced up when he caught movement above. That was when his eyes widened and he quickly dodge-rolled to the side, avoiding an orb of light. However, he knew his task, and got right back up to start attacking it. That wasn't really in the plan, but whatever.

Terra noticed an orb falling out of the corner of his eye, and he jumped up and destroyed it in midair before he landed smoothly on his feet again. Standing where he was, he saw a few more falling out of the sky and he quickly figured out that Master Yen Sid inserted a new element to the exam. But he didn't dwell on it, instead running forward and starting to attack another orb.
Aqua silently observed the boys, not seeing anyone slip up yet. That was good for both of them, especially with something as unexpected as the falling orbs. She had been surprised as well, and she remembered how she reacted when she was taking her own exam. It was important to just stay calm and focus on the task at hand, but also be aware of what was happening around the area. Aqua hoped both Terra and Riku knew that, though she was sure they did. They were both very experienced fighters.

Master Yen Sid watched the fight from his place, and after a few minutes, he allowed the orbs to stop falling from the sky. That helped Terra and Riku finish up the test more quickly, which was what he desired. He had seen enough, and now it was time to move onto something a bit more challenging.

Riku slashed at the only orb in front of him, watching it disappear. He panted with heavy breaths, the exercise causing that. But he glanced over his shoulder to see how Terra was doing, and if there were any orbs left. When he didn't see any, he let his Keyblade disappear, going to return to Master Yen Sid for further instruction.

Terra slashed through his final orb a moment after Riku did, and he instinctively looked around the area to see if any orbs were left. He didn't see any, and so he too started walking towards Master Yen Sid and Aqua for the next phase of the test. Riku didn't know what was coming, but he did. That was why he kept his Keyblade in his grasp.
Aqua watched as Riku stopped in front of her and Master Yen Sid, Terra approaching as well. Her eyes moved to the former Master, awaiting his next directions.

Master Yen Sid looked at Terra and Riku when they were both in front of him. "Good," he said, nodding faintly. "The first test is complete, and I hope you have learned to always expect what is unexpected in all circumstances." He paused slightly, but then he continued. "But I feel as if this test will show your skills more properly, and it will be the final part of your exam."

Riku stood attentively with his arms at his sides, only briefly noticing that Terra still had his Keyblade out of the corner of his eye. Obviously Terra knew what was next, but Riku only continued to gaze at Master Yen Sid, waiting to hear what the next part of the exam was.

"The final test is battle," Master Yen Sid, mainly saying it because Riku did not know how this test worked. "The two candidates will combat each other in battle. But no matter the outcome of the battle, both of you shall be considered for the title. Your performance and individual strength of heart is what is judged here, not your victory or loss."

Terra listened intently even though he had heard this before. It would certainly feel strange, battling his successor. But he also felt like it would be enjoyable since he wanted to see Riku's strength.

Riku nodded slightly in acknowledgement, understanding the next task. He and Terra were to battle each other for an unspecific amount of time, but it didn't matter who won or lost. Like the Master said, it was their strength of heart that mattered here. But he was curious as to if there would be any other twists in this part of the exam like the last task.

"With this battle, there are certain rules," Master Yen Sid continued. "You may use any techniques you find useful, including healing. If you desire, you may also attacks that you have gained through Darkness. But if it is out of your control, then that will be a heavy mark against you. Be cautious with its use."

Terra nodded, knowing that this was meant for him to hear. He could use Darkness, but he couldn't let it overwhelm him or be out of his control. Like Master Yen Sid said, he would have to be careful.

Riku was actually glad to hear that, since he used his dark attacks often in battle. He didn't rely to heavily on them, though, which was good because it could cost him either his life or this match. But he nodded to Master Yen Sid in understanding. He would do his best.

Master Yen Sid noticed the expressions of the two young people in front of him, and he nodded slightly as well. "Good luck to the both of you," he said simply.

Terra nodded slightly before he turned around and started for the open area that he and Riku had fought the orbs in. This was it...This fight would help Master Yen Sid and Aqua decide if he could be a Master. He would fight his hardest, even if he was against the boy he crowned his successor.

Riku turned around as well, his hands in loose fists by his sides as he walked to the open area. It was strange... This test was the Mark of Mastery; it decided whether he was a true Keyblade Master or not, but he wasn't scared of losing at all.

Terra walked further into the area than he assumed Riku would, creating space between them before the fight would start. He had only seen Riku fight a few times, and he hadn't had time to study his moves. But Riku hadn't had the opportunity to watch him fight, either. This would definitely be interesting.
Riku stopped, a wide space between him and the man who crowned him his successor. He stared at Terra, eyebrows furrowed in concentration as he summoned his blade. He lifted Way to Dawn in his right arm, getting into his stance. This was his last chance to prove himself, and also Terra's. This would be a tough match.

Master Yen Sid watched from his place, seeing Terra also get into his stance when Riku summoned his Keyblade. He kept his gaze on them for a few seconds before he spoke. "You may begin."

Riku's left hand flexed as he tightened his grip on Way to Dawn. He set his jaw before he then moved his feet, charging forward to initiate the match.

Terra started forward at the same time as Riku, memories of his battle with Aqua present in his mind. Even though he was battling against a friend, he wouldn't go easy on Riku. The younger teen could handle whatever Terra threw at him, hopefully.
Riku waited until he and Terra were only a few feet apart before whirling around in a complete circle, Way to Dawn coming around and swinging. This was his time to prove himself, and even if he had the utmost respect for Terra, he wasn't about to hold back any power within him.

Ventus watched from the side, seeing Terra manage to block Riku's attack. He watched with eyes full of fascination, loving to see a competition like this between two people who clearly had no grudges against each other. It was a fair fight, and he was interested to see who would win.
