Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Roxas waited when the footsteps got closer, and when he saw the blonde hair, he stiffened. "Namine," he greeted softly. He knew he was in trouble for what he did today. He stood her up, and that was never excusable. Xion tried to console him, but it didn't work. He had been sitting here all day scolding himself for what he did.

Namine jumped, eyes finding Roxas immediately. She hadn't expected him to be here in her kitchen. She nodded faintly to him in greeting, staying silent as she went to the fridge. She opened the door and looked inside, seeing that it was emptier than earlier. Xion had treated herself to the food. Fighting the urge to sigh, she saw that she and Kairi had been running low anyway. She grabbed some lunch meat and cheese before shutting the door, going to the counter to make herself a sandwich.
The silent treatment, Roxas realized immediately. That was his reward for his behavior earlier today. "Namine...can I explain?" he asked gently, staying where he was. He knew she was mad at him; that was obvious. She would seethe in silence, like she normally did, and that would make Roxas feel worse. But he deserved it.

"You don't need to," Namine said, reaching for the bread and starting on her sandwich. She could already take a guess at where Roxas was, in other words. Especially now that she knew how badly Xion wanted Roxas, she expected Xion successfully distracted Roxas right at her break time. She had been sure she wouldn't succeed, and Roxas would still come for lunch, but apparently she was wrong.
Roxas's eyebrows furrowed, his eyes soft in sadness. "What do you mean?" he asked gently. Did she already know that Xion distracted him at the beach? They were surfing, or at least attempting, and he lost track of time. It was an honest mistake.

"I can take a guess at what happened," Namine said simply, putting her sandwich together without adding the customary butter, mustard, or mayonnaise. She took a bite into it, trying not to let her temper get to her. She couldn't tell Roxas what happened with Xion last night; it would break his heart. But if she acted like she approved of Xion, then Roxas would spend more time with her. There was no good way to handle this situation...
Roxas gazed at Namine for a moment before he lowered his gaze to the floor. Xion, he thought, closing his eyes. Namine had to have known that Xion distracted him. He had been hanging out with her a few hours beforehand.

Namine decided to use her full mouth as an excuse not to talk. She reached for a plate out of the cupboard and put her sandwich on it before she went to the living room to finish it. She was scared of having this conversation with Roxas. Yes, it hurt that he broke his promise to have lunch with her, but it hurt even more that he was smitten with Xion. Talking about the former would lead to the latter, and she didn't want to talk about that.
Roxas heard Namine's retreating footsteps, and he opened his eyes to see her leave the kitchen. "Namine," he called, going after her. Why wouldn't she talk to him? He would make it up to her if that would get her to talk to him, and he would make it up to her anyway. She deserved to be treated better than this.

Namine thought she heard Roxas say her name, but it didn't alter her course. She sat down on the couch and turned on the television so that conversation would be that much harder. If Roxas knew she was keeping something from him, that would make him angry at her. She had to try and lie the best that she could, for his sake, not Xion's.
Roxas's eyebrows furrowed when Namine turned the television on, and that was enough to aggravate him. He moved past the couch and approached the television, pressing the button on the device to shut it off. He stood in front of it and stared at Namine, his eyes showing his sadness and frustration at the same time. Talk to me, please...

Namine felt her eyes turn sad at how Roxas was interpretting her actions. He couldn't know what was really bothering her, though...She couldn't tell him what a monster Xion was. "Roxas," she said softly, looking down at her sandwich in her lap. "I had a really rough day at work. I don't want to talk right now, or I'll say something I'll regret." That should have been a good enough excuse for him to accept her silence.
"A majority of it was my fault, I know," Roxas said, jumping to the real problem. "I'm sorry, okay? I just lost track of time! You know I wanted to have lunch with you today or I wouldn't have offered. Things just..." Xion distracted me so well I didn't remember.

"I know," Namine said. She lifted the sandwich and took another big bite of it, aware that she was almost done it by now and still really hungry. She already knew what Roxas was talking about. He wanted lunch, but Xion distracted him. She couldn't help but blame him a little bit for falling into Xion's tricks, though. He should have remembered...It shouldn't have been so easy for her to captivate him.
Roxas frowned, looking around as he released a heavy breath. Namine knew but didn't forgive him. He looked at the young woman he held so many feelings for, approaching her before kneeling in front of her. "...Is there any way I can make it up to you?" he asked softly, placing a hand on her knee. He had to do something.

Namine shut her eyes briefly at the hand on her knee, swallowing her food. "Don't worry about it," she said softly instead of answering the question. She didn't have an answer to give, really. She wasn't sure what Roxas could do to make it up to her. All that she really wanted was for things to go back to normal.
Roxas's eyes softened, his lips parting slightly as he tried to find something to say. But...he couldn't. In that case, this is pointless. Roxas pushed himself up and leaned forward, placing a small kiss on Namine's forehead before pulling back. "I'm sorry," he whispered softly. He then stood up straight and silently left the room. It was time he took his leave.

Xion entered the room then, having been listening in for a minute or two. But when Roxas was taking his leave, she decided it was best to come in. "Roxas," she said cheerily. "Wanna head back out and show me the night life?" She had just gotten done taking a shower and was now wearing jeans and a casual dress shirt. She wanted to spend the night with him, despite the fact that she was with him all day.
Roxas stopped in his tracks, turning his head to look at Xion at the request. He hesitated a moment before gazing over at Namine. Seeing that she wasn't responding, he decided he would give in to Xion. "Yeah...sure," he said with a small nod and weak smile. He didn't exactly want to go home and sulk. Roxas turned for the door, that being his destination from the get-go.

Xion smiled widely, walking quickly to catch up with Roxas. She was so glad that he said yes, and so glad that he was leaving Namine when she was already upset. There was already a splint in their relationship, and Xion had only been there one day. Now all she had to do was keep doing what she was doing, and she and Roxas would be together in no time at all.
Roxas approached the door and opened it, holding it for Xion. He nodded to her with the same weak smile, not exactly in the mood to go out but doing so anyway. Xion always distracted him somehow; she could do it again.

Namine heard Roxas and Xion leave, and she felt even more alone than she had when they were with her. I'm sorry I can't tell you the truth, she thought to Roxas. She couldn't tell him what a monster Xion was, or it would break his heart. He was so happy now that she was in his life again...Namine couldn't spoil that. No matter what.
Roxas walked with Xion out of the apartment and into town, talking with her along the way. He wasn't sure what he could do to "show her the night life", but he would try his best. And try not to think about Namine; that would just make Xion's time worse. His best friend didn't deserve that, but...neither did Namine.

One week later, Twilight Town

I can't believe this is happening, Namine thought, squeaking as she dodged a fire attack that came her way. This was not supposed to be happening! She left the Islands yesterday to avoid Xion, but now they were fighting. Namine went to Disney Castle to request further training from King Mickey as an excuse to stay away from the Islands, but he sent her on an errand to Twilight Town to get something from Master Yen Sid. She ended here at the train station and encountered Xion. Xion said that Roxas just couldn't forget about the blonde, so it would be necessary for Namine to be removed from his life completely. Xion was trying to kill her. She grunted, casting a shield as she fought defensively. She couldn't hurt Xion, the girl Roxas loved, too badly...

Roxas walked through Twilight Town, determination in his stride as his head turned side to side. C'mon, Namine...Where are you? He couldn't believe she would run off like this! She barely spoke to him for a week unless it was necessary, and then she disappeared! He couldn't have been more furious with her for being so reckless. He would take her home first. Then he would give her his two cents. They may not have been on good terms, but he still loved her.
