A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"I was here running an errand for King Mickey," Namine finally spilled. "But I ran into her here. The day after she reappeared, she told me clearly that she intended to have Roxas's full affection. And today, she said she realized I'd have to die for that to happen, so...So she tried to kill me!" Her blue eyes were up on Riku's, dancing over his to see if he believed her.

Riku just stared at Namine, trying to gather all the information she spilled in a rush. Xion showed up, reunited with Roxas, declared that Namine would no longer be Roxas's girlfriend, and tried to kill her today? I really hope I got that right, he thought, closing his eyes and lifting a hand to his head. Xion... Would she really do that? What a mess.

Namine's shoulders tensed, the blonde still gripping Riku's arm. He knew the truth now; what was he going to do? Whatever he did, he couldn't tell Roxas the truth. Roxas loved Xion; if he found out she was evil, it would crush him. Riku couldn't spill... She shut her eyes, tears falling in fear that he would spill.

Riku opened his eyes after a minute, looking down at Namine. He caught onto the tears sliding down her cheeks, which caused him to soften up considerably. He moved his hand to sit on the one she used to grip his arm. "...Namine," he said softly, soothingly.

"You can't tell," Namine choked through her tears, looking up at Riku desperately. "Roxas can't know...He loves her, Riku." Roxas loved Xion. And as soon as he discovered the truth, it would break his heart. She couldn't bear to see him go through that again.

Riku's eyebrows furrowed at that, though he should have figured that was the truth. He moved toward Namine again, bringing her to his chest in another embrace. He wouldn't say anything, and she knew that. Riku was good at keeping other's secrets; he never liked to be the one with the big mouth, so he never was. But...Xion...he thought sadly. The same girl he used to know...was that dark on the inside?

Namine cried into Riku's chest, lifting her hands to grasp his shirt. It hadn't even been that hard to break her, had it? He hardly needed to talk for her to spill everything. She was so ashamed that she couldn't keep that dark secret longer.

Riku lowered his head to look at Namine, though his chin was near the top of her head. He let his thumb rub back and forth over her blonde hair, his hand back on her head as he held her. Xion...was evil. Was that was he sensed when she was around? The air was always different when she was nearby, but he never really caught on. Riku thought back to the deep gash in Namine's arm, and how much blood she had lost. Xion caused that, and it actually scared him. "...I won't say anything. I promise," he whispered gently. Namine had his word.

Namine nodded faintly, too choked up to form the words "thank you." She was so glad, though. Riku wasn't going to tell, even if he knew Xion was a threat. I'll be stronger next time, she silently promised. I won't let her come close to killing me. She couldn't lose her life to Xion.

Riku stared at the ground behind Namine, knowing that there was only one choice he had in this: to protect her. He had to keep Namine safe, just in case she couldn't do it herself. Riku already knew Roxas wouldn't do it; he was too caught up in Xion's appearance as of a week ago. He would be distracted and in disbelief of the situation if he found out. So, Riku would be the one to keep an eye on Namine, to make sure she was okay.

Namine forced herself to start calming herself down, her hands releasing Riku's shirt slowly. She knew what they needed to do now, and that was go home. She just had to keep this from Roxas better than she kept it from Riku. Fortunately for her, Roxas was too distracted to see through all her lies.

Riku loosened Namine when he felt her doing the same to him, and he looked down at her. His expression was stern, hard, and strong. He was very protective of the blonde; he had been for many years now. Nobody would hurt her, not even Xion. His gaze seemed to say it all for him: If you need me, you call me.

"I don't know what to do, Riku," Namine said weakly at his expression. He wanted to help somehow, but Namine wasn't sure what to do herself. There wasn't much she could do when she refused to attack somebody who wanted to kill her.

"You have to defend yourself," Riku concluded immediately. If Namine couldn't tell anyone about the problem, which was someone trying to murder her, then she had to take matters into her own hands. Namine was strong, Riku knew that, but she had to believe it herself.

"But I can't defend myself when I refuse to hurt her," Namine said, shaking her head faintly as she looked down to Riku's chest. "I can't hurt her when..." When Roxas loves her. Namine could use up all her magic on defense spells, then Xion could come in for the kill. That was what nearly happened today.

Riku didn't know how to respond to that, already aware of where Namine was going with the last sentence. Roxas loved Xion still, after all these years. Riku had seen it back when he was undercover, but only slightly. Didn't he believe Namine over Xion, though? He surely loved the blonde more....

Namine shook her head faintly at the silence. "Never mind," she declared softly. "I think it's time to go home." Roxas was probably wondering where she was now, if he wasn't too busy fretting over Xion. She lifted her hands and wiped underneath her eyes again, making sure she got all the tears before. Roxas couldn't know that this wasn't just a Heartless attack.

"Mm," Riku hummed softly, nodding as well. He turned, starting down the small set of stairs that led to the entrance. He wasn't going to just let this drop, though; he cared for Namine, and he was going to do what he could to make sure she was safe...and alive.

A little later

 

Namine approached the door to her apartment, figuring that Roxas had brought Xion here to "recover". He was probably still there, which made her nervous. She still had Riku with her, just because she had a feeling this whole thing was going to turn into an ugly fight. At least with Riku, she had somebody on her side. Gathering her courage, she turned the doorknob and stepped inside her home.

Roxas had been sitting on the couch, staring at nothing as he thought about the day's events. If Namine hadn't wandered off... The blond turned his head sharply when he heard the door open, and from here he could see just who it was: Namine, and Riku. Roxas rose to his feet, eyebrows furrowed as he looked at the two of them, but mostly his focus was on Namine. How could she be so reckless?

Barely three steps into the apartment, Namine shrank back just at the look Roxas was giving her. "Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked timidly. He looked angry, but she hadn't done anything to make him mad. She did go to Disney Castle without saying goodbye face to face, but at least she left a note. It wasn't like she just vanished.

"Because you were completely reckless, Namine!" Roxas retorted instantly, his voice already raised. Xion was hurt because of Namine, and Roxas didn't appreciate it at all. On top of that, she left without even telling him, instead leaving a stupid note for him to find. How ridiculous could she get?

 

Riku instantly put a hand on Namine's back, hearing Roxas's tone. He already knew this wasn't going to go well, which was one of the reasons he decided to come over here with her. Roxas wouldn't do anything reckless while he was here.

Namine jumped at Roxas's tone, cheeks growing flushed. "I..." she started weakly. I wasn't reckless. I was supposed to be at Disney Castle, a place that's even safer than here... But King Mickey sent her on an errand and Xion initiated battle with her. Of course, Roxas probably didn't know any of that. He probably didn't care.

"You decided to run off without even explaining yourself," Roxas declared, taking a step away from the couch and toward her. He then held up the note she had left him. "And this stupid note doesn't excuse it." He threw it down on the coffee table next to him, lifting his hard gaze to the girl at the receiving end of his lecture, completely ignoring Riku's presence through all of this. "You should have come told me, Namine. What if something terrible happened to you today? I wouldn't have even been able to say goodbye!"

Namine's cheeks continued to turn more red. "I thought I was just going to be at Disney Castle," she said faintly. "I didn't think I'd find trouble when I left..." She had thought it would be safer, if anything. Even if Xion just made the death threats today, Namine always got a deathly vibe from her.
