Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"You didn't think," Roxas repeated, his eyes cold and voice strict. "You didn't think! That's the problem, Namine! You weren't thinking at all!" He saw Riku put a hand on Namine's shoulder, and he eyed the action before looking back at the blonde. "You're lucky Xion was there with you, or you could have been killed!"

It's because Xion was with me that I was nearly killed, Namine thought, remaining silent as she took Roxas's meaningless scolding. He was siding with Xion...as would anyone who didn't know the truth. She lowered her head, feeling Riku's hand on her shoulder but not receiving much comfort from it. How could she when Roxas didn't even care about hearing her side of the story?

Roxas jabbed a finger toward the hall. "And now Xion's in there, unconscious, because of you!" he hollered. "If you hadn't been so stupid, none of this would have happened." Her recklessness could have gotten someone killed.

"Whoa, that's enough," Riku said, taking a step forward, his hand remaining on Namine's shoulder. Jumping to conclusions like this was reckless too, but he doubted Roxas would actually acknowledge that. He was too pumped up for that.

"Shut up," Roxas snapped, and he saw Riku blink at the order. Like he cared. He was ticked, and Namine was the reason why. He could have lost either her or Xion today, or both of them. And it was Namine's fault.

Namine lifted a hand to Riku's hand on her shoulder, shutting her eyes to keep the moisture in for a few moments. Riku should have known what the hand meant; she was telling him not to let this get to him and make him spill the truth. Roxas was blaming her for Xion's pain because he loved her. Probably more than he loved Namine right now. That was what nearly made a tear drop from her eye.
Roxas looked from Riku to Namine, his eyes holding nothing but fury. "You owe Xion an apology, Namine," he spat, "and a 'thank you.' You could have died if she weren't there to help you." He glanced at Riku one more time before his eyes fixed on Namine, glaring at her. He then moved away from the couch, marching down the hall to the guest bedroom where he had placed Xion when he got back. He gave his two cents; he was done.

Namine shook her head faintly, a tear dropping out of each eye now that the lecture was done. I don't even want to be here, she thought miserably. She didn't want to sleep here while things were so incredibly tense with Roxas. But she had nowhere else to go. Nowhere to run to now.
Riku looked after Roxas, and once he was gone, he simply shook his head. That kid had everything sorted out the wrong way. Completely wrong. Riku looked down at Namine, squeezing her shoulder. "I'll ask Light if you can stay with her tonight," he said softly. He doubted Namine wanted to be here with the person who tried to kill her.

"Thank you," Namine said softly. "But... Do you think it's wise for me to run away from my problems like this?" She knew it wasn't good to run away, but staying here wasn't a good idea either. She would probably be swayed to do whatever Riku thought was best.
Riku looked down the hall, to where Xion rested. "...No, it's not...but your life is at stake," he reasoned. "I think we can make an exception." She either died tonight or lived another day to deal with her problems. He favored the latter option.

Namine nodded faintly, finding Riku's reasoning logical. "Okay," she said with a small nod, removing her hand off of his. "I'll go get my things." She started towards the bedrooms, sure that Roxas was in Xion's room with her. She lifted a hand, wiping at her eyes yet again. She had to keep it together.
As Namine walked off, Riku reached into his pocket to grab his phone. He speed-dialed Lightning, lifting the phone to his ear so he could tell her what was going on. Of course, he wouldn't reveal all of the details; he would just tell her enough to get his point across, and to let her know that Namine couldn't stay here tonight.

The next day

Namine was working the long shift at work again, unfortunately. And once again, the children were feeding off of the sadness she tried to hide and were acting up. It was just around noon and Namine was already feeling exhausted and drained from the kids. She only had a break for this hour, her lunch hour. She had to pull herself together. The only way she knew how to compose herself was to do what she was doing now: sitting on the beach, drawing in her sketchbook.

Roxas approached the beach, his eyes searching for the person he loved. The blonde one, his head reminded him again, making him scratch his head. He sighed as he stepped onto the sand and found the girl he had been looking for. One of his hands clutched the bag of food, a flower also in his grasp so he could apologize properly and make up for how awful he was for skipping their lunch date the last time. Roxas hated arguing with Namine, especially because he was always the one who was wrong. Like this time.

Namine was unaware of Roxas's presence, only aware that her drawing was a failure. She would have crumpled up the paper, but she didn't have a place to throw it out. She placed the sketchpad down in anger next to her, pulling her legs up close as she wrapped her arms around them. She couldn't even find peace in drawing anymore.
Roxas stopped a few yards away, standing slightly behind and to the side from where Namine sat. He could tell by her posture that she felt defeated, and it was obvious it was because of him. He frowned in sadness, his eyes soft compared to their hard state the day before. I'm sorry...

Namine glanced at her watch to check the time, not wanting to be late to work. She still had forty-five minutes. Forty-five minutes, then back to the torture. She shut her eyes and furrowed her eyebrows, trying to relax. No way could she go back to work so on edge. But she couldn't forget what put her in this mood in the first place.
Roxas debated whether this was a good idea or not. He was awful to Namine yesterday, having offered no sympathy towards her when she was hurt yesterday too. He wasn't stupid; he'd seen the blood on her arm. It's just...Xion...he tried to reason. But, he couldn't ignore his girlfriend either. She was important too.

Maybe I should just head back to work, Namine thought. Sitting here isn't helping any. She grabbed her sketchbook and rose to her feet, turning around to be on her way. She blinked in startlement when she saw that she wasn't alone, though. Roxas was here.
Roxas couldn't move, his eyes stuck on Namine's light blue. Now that she was looking at him, he wasn't sure what to do. This plan worked smoothly in his head; he gave her the lunch he neglected to earlier, apologized with a rose... But he doubted it would follow through now. In fact, it would do just the opposite.

Namine's eyes darted to the lunch and the flower Roxas had. "Are you...meeting someone for lunch?" she dared to ask, not looking him in the eye when she asked her question. She couldn't imagine Roxas would bring her a flower with how angry he was with her.
"Yeah..." Roxas replied softly, glancing at the ground for a moment. He saw the flower and bag he held in his hand, which caused him to look back up at Namine. "You." This was Namine's favorite food, and her favorite flower. He knew that much. Taking it to someone else would be pointless.

Namine felt her eyes grow confused. "Me?" she said softly, cheeks growing red. "W-why would you...?" Why would you want to have lunch with me after yesterday? You blamed me for everything. You didn't even care... She was more hurt by that than she was angry.
"Why wouldn't I?" Roxas asked with a small shrug. "I love you...no matter what." Even if he thought she caused the problems, he still loved her. But... "I was wrong, about yesterday. I wanted to apologize face to face." He couldn't do it over the phone, or through someone else. He wasn't a coward. Roxas knew he made a mistake, as usual.

"W-what?" Namine asked again. He thought that he was wrong about yesterday? He couldn't realize what a monster Xion was. She knew that there was no way he could reach that conclusion. What exactly did he believe he was wrong about?
Roxas nodded, approaching Namine in silence. The waves gently rolled in, making the beach even more peaceful than it normally was. But...it wouldn't be completely right until he made things better. He stopped in front of the blonde. "I...shouldn't have yelled at you like I did yesterday," Roxas admitted, lowering his gaze to the ground. "I jumped to conclusions, and that wasn't fair to you. I was just upset that you didn't talk to me before you left and that you were hurt...and that Xion was hurt." Roxas shook his head, looking back up at Namine. "Yesterday was just a mess, and I took everything out on you. I'm sorry...Namine."
