Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Namine's cheeks grew more red. Right. He's sorry for yelling, not blaming Xion's injuries on me. He still thinks that's my fault. She nodded faintly to say that she heard his apology. She couldn't bring herself to say that everything was okay, though. Because that was so far from the truth, and she couldn't get away with telling that lie.
"...Are you...okay?" Roxas asked after a second, his eyes softening even more in concern. "I never really checked..." And he felt awful for that. He had just been so focused on Xion. Idiot, he scolded himself. He didn't bother to check on his girlfriend at all. Instead, you yelled at her.

"Y-yeah," Namine managed with a small nod, looking up to see Roxas's eyes. She wasn't sure what he was referring to, but she'd assume he was referring to physical injuries. "Riku gave me a potion." She'd try to keep the topic away from her emotional state; that was a place that she didn't want to go.
"Oh...good," Roxas said with a small nod, glancing down at the ground again. He could barely hold eye contact, he felt so guilty. How could he have neglected Namine the way he had? I'm an awful boyfriend, he concluded. I've never been very good.

Namine's blush remained as she looked down at the ground. She didn't know what to say, though. Roxas was sorry, but he couldn't be fully sorry. He didn't know the truth about Xion and all that she had done yesterday. And he wouldn't know, not while she had a say in it.
"Um...to try and make up for what I did," Roxas started lamely, glancing up at Namine before he eyed the bag in his hand, "I brought you lunch. I figured I could do it today, since I missed it last time, and I could apologize. Two birds with one stone." He smiled weakly, holding the bag up to show he meant well. He didn't get himself anything, just Namine. He was going to cater to her today, and no one else.

"Okay," Namine responded with a weak, forced smile. It was sweet that Roxas came to her, but she wan't hungry at all. She would try to eat, though, just to show that she appreciated him for coming and trying to make things right. She just desperately wished he could know the truth...but he couldn't. Not now, and probably not ever.
Roxas brought a flower too, and he was sure Namine saw that by now, since it was in the same hand as the bag. He held it out to her, so she could take her lunch. He imagined she was hungry, since she had been working for a while. But if she didn't eat it all, he wouldn't be offended. Roxas was just glad she was talking to him, even if she wasn't saying much.

Namine accepted both the flower and the bag, treating the flower delicately. It may be the last flower he ever gives me. "Thanks," she said, that line being the appropriate one to say. She fought the moisture in her eyes, trying not to fear for her relationship with Roxas. But it was hard when everything was so terrible.
Roxas nodded, sticking his hands into his pockets. "You're welcome," he replied gently. He smiled in the same manner, even if it wouldn't be returned. If Namine stayed mad at him, he wouldn't blame her; he was a jerk the night before.

Namine glanced up at Roxas, seeing gentleness. That's how you look at Xion now, she thought, fighting even harder against the moisture that threatened to cloud her eyes. She turned and sat down, putting down the book and bag in the sand. Peeking in the bag, she saw that Roxas made her favorite sandwich.
Roxas hesitated a moment before stepping over to sit next to Namine. He didn't stare at her as she ate, though; his gaze rested instead on the ocean. Everything was gentle and peaceful today, except for things between him and Namine. He wished that wasn't the case, but...it was.

Namine took out the food and nibbled at it for a while in silence, not trying to talk to Roxas. She didn't dare bring up anything that could lead to them talking about Xion. She didn't want to hear how great she was, or how in love Roxas was with her. It hurt her heart just to see it; hearing it would be worse.
Roxas closed his eyes as the wind gently blew over him and Namine, the boy trying to relax. How could he, though, when he knew things still weren't okay? He apologized, but he felt like Namine didn't really accept it. Was she holding a grudge against him for how he acted yesterday? Or was it for something else?
  • Author
Namine only ate about a quarter of the sandwich before she felt too sick to finish it. "I'm sorry, but I'm not hungry enough to finish the rest," she said softly, holding it out to Roxas as she asked a question. "Do you want it?" She wished she could eat it to try and show things were okay, but she felt nauseous.
Roxas turned his head to see the sandwich held out to him, and he smiled weakly, nodding in response. He lightly took the sandwich from Namine, his fingertips brushing hers in the process. He tried to ignore how even the smallest of touches affected him, the blond lifting the sandwich to his mouth and taking a bite out of it.

Namine clasped her hands in her lap, looking at the ocean as things fell silent again. She was aware that time was running out in her shift though, and in a way, she was glad. This was awkward, as much as she hated to admit that.
Roxas glanced over at Namine again as he chewed on the sandwich, leaning forward slightly when he thought he caught something different in her eyes. "Hey..." he called softly. "Do you want to hang out later tonight? Just me and you?" It felt like he hadn't really spent time with her lately, probably because he hadn't. Xion was always wanting to go do something, but since she was recovering, Roxas could spend time with Namine. If she wanted to, anyway.
  • Author
Namine glanced down at her feet. "Riku was going to give me some training tonight," she said softly. And that was actually the truth, not an excuse to avoid awkwardness with Roxas. She asked Riku last night if he would give her some training, and he said yes. But...she was still thinking about going back to Disney Castle to get more magic training from King Mickey. He was a great teacher.
Roxas blinked, looking away. "Oh..." he said softly, distracting himself by biting into the sandwich again. He guessed that was okay, since Namine had less of a chance of getting hurt like yesterday. He owed Riku for that, he supposed.
  • Author
Namine bit down on her lip, wondering if it was wise to say what she was about to say. "I think I should go back to Disney Castle for a while," she said softly. "King Mickey said that he'd train me more..." And Namine needed all the training that she could get, especially if she was going to face Xion again in the future.
Roxas didn't know what to say to that; he only continued chewing. Namine was going to leave? "How long is a while?" he asked softly, staring at the water. He didn't like the fact that she was leaving, but at least Namine told him this time.
  • Author
"I don't know," Namine responded softly as she gazed at her knees. "As long as I need to, I guess." She was inexperienced, but she had a lot of potential. That was what King Mickey told her, anyway. She liked to believe that he was telling her the truth and not lying to make her feel better. But...she did a good job in the recent big battles, so she did believe him for that reason too.
Roxas hummed softly, not knowing how else to respond. Namine was going to be gone, but "as long as she needed to" could be a long time. She was getting trained, and that could be months. Even a year. Roxas wasn't okay with that.

"It'll give you more time to spend with Xion anyway," Namine said quietly to Roxas's silence. She immediately wanted to take back what she said, though, since it had a lot of implications. All that she could do was hope that Roxas took it as Namine understanding that he wanted to spend time with his best friend, not Roxas replacing Namine with Xion. But that was likely to happen at this rate.
