Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Mm," Roxas hummed weakly. Yeah, me too, he thought, finally letting his eyes fall on the girl he cherished. She was really leaving, and he couldn't do anything to persuade her to stay. But...why was she really going? For some reason, he felt it was more than the Heartless attack the other day in Twilight Town.

Namine felt Roxas's gaze on her, but she didn't return it. She hoped he didn't ask more questions; he hadn't been too inquisitive the past few days, though, so she wasn't extremely worried. Just as long as he wasn't heartbroken by Xion's true nature...then things were sort of okay. The best they could be, anyway.
Roxas leaned forward, placing a gentle kiss to Namine's forehead. He held it for a second, eyebrows furrowing over his closed eyes. He couldn't believe she was actually leaving. He almost wanted to go with her, but that was out of the question. Xion just got back... He couldn't leave her here alone. Roxas pulled away from the small gesture, his hands leaving Namine's arms as he looked down at her. There's nothing left to say...is there?

"I love you," Namine said softly, lifting her head a tad as she gazed at Roxas's chest. She had to say those words, just in case she didn't have the chance to again. Next time she saw Roxas, Xion may have had possession of him. Or maybe Namine would be taken out of the picture, permanently. That wasn't such a ridiculous idea anymore.
Roxas didn't know why, but he actually felt surprised to hear that; his heart skipped a beat at the declaration. "I love you too," he replied gently, nodding as well. Even if he knew that feelings for Xion were still there--though he was sure they never even left--he was positive that he loved Namine greatly. That would never change.

Namine looked up at Roxas, lifting a hand briefly to his cheek. Goodbye, her eyes said for the second she held his gaze. Her hand gently slipped off his cheek as she made her exit, knowing that the conversation was over now. She was leaving and giving Xion a chance to make her move. As much as she hated that truth, she knew that things could work out no other way.
Roxas watched Namine go, cherishing the last touch she put upon him, his cheek tingling from where her fingertips had lingered. But now...he knew that he wouldn't see her again. For a long time. Roxas closed his eyes, hanging his head. I'm sorry...if it's my fault. I didn't mean it.

Later that day

It was nearing sunset as Xion and Roxas sat on the beach of the mainland, laughing as they recounted an amusing scene that they saw in town earlier that day. They had been hanging out all day, much to Xion's pleasure. But that wasn't all that was going to make her happy; she planned on letting Roxas know how she felt, very soon. She was sure he would take it well, since she had been leading up to it with the flirting that became more apparent every day.

Roxas's chuckles died down as he turned his head to look out at the water. It rolled in just near his sneakers, but he didn't care if they got wet. He was just glad that Xion took his mind off things for a while; he thought about Namine a few times during the day, and every time he did, he just got upset. Xion noticed sometimes, but he tried to cover it up for her sake. She didn't need him to bring her down.

Xion's smile faded to a more gentle one as she looked out at the sky. Her knees were lightly pulled up, the girl wearing Namine's skinny jeans and a blouse she took from the closet. It looked much better on her than it ever would have on the blonde. "You know, Roxas," she said softly, a little more serious. "...I've really missed you."
Roxas's small smile remained as he looked over at Xion. "I've missed you too," he said with a small nod. How couldn't he have? She was his best friend alongside Axel; they were two of the first friends he ever made. He couldn't forget that. But...they also made him feel like he had a heart, because he did. That was important too.

"No, Roxas," Xion said, faintly shaking her head. He didn't get it. "I've really missed you." She glanced down at her knees, saying her thoughts aloud with sincerity. "I've been so alone, and now..." She looked over, setting a hand on his leg. "...Now I've finally found out where I belong, and it's with you." Her eyes locked onto his bright blue ones, her eyes bright as well.
Roxas glanced down at the hand on his leg, slightly surprised by the action. But...another part of him actually enjoyed it, his heart beat picking up a little in speed. He wasn't sure what to say to Xion's declaration, convincing himself that she didn't mean it the way he initially thought she did. "That's good, Xion," he said, his smile still intact. "We're best friends. We're supposed to be with each other." But that's not what she's talking about, his heart told him. She's talking about something else entirely.

Xion smiled weakly, humoring Roxas. "Best friends are meant to be together," she agreed gently, her index finger briefly running over Roxas's leg. "But so are friends who are more than that." She should have been perfectly clear by now: she believed that she and Roxas were more than just best friends. She was in love with him.
Roxas's eyes stayed locked on Xion's, his smile faltering when he realized that his heart was right. Xion wasn't just talking about being best friends; she was talking about being something much greater than that. The touch on his leg, the way her eyes gleamed when she spoke... They were all signs that Roxas caught onto a while ago, but was unwilling to accept. He was with Namine now; his time with Xion had come and gone a long time ago. "Xion..." he tried softly, though he couldn't really think of what to say. Roxas was too stunned for words.

"Don't, Roxas," Xion insisted gently, squeezing his leg. She glanced down at that hand briefly before she looked back up at his eyes. "I don't want to wonder anymore what could have happened if I didn't have to go away for a while. We can finally figure it out for ourselves...right now." Her face inched a tad closer to Roxas's as she spoke, eyes gleaming with sincerity as she tried to convince him to humor her. Just one kiss. That's all that we'll need for you to fall deeply in love with me. That's all we need to be happy.
Roxas knew what was happening, feeling his neck incline toward Xion so his face would get closer to hers. But that was when Namine's face appeared in his head, making him jerk back. He turned his head, spotting something that would distract him. "O-oh, look!" he said then, jabbing a finger at the wave that rolled up. "A seashell!" He pushed himself up, away from Xion as he stepped into the water to grab it. Roxas's heart raced all the while, the boy feeling his cheeks burning. That didn't almost happen...he tried to convince himself. He couldn't believe it.

Xion fought the urge to roll her eyes at Roxas's excuse. They had been so close...Regardless, she kept her composure and rose to her feet, stepping closer to Roxas. "Where?" she asked as she set a hand on his back. "I don't see it." Of course, there probably was no seashell. And even if there was one, it wasn't worth their time.
Roxas reached into the water, the seafoam having covered his finding. "Right here," he said, standing upright as he held the seashell out to Xion. He stared at it for a moment, recalling something. "It's...just like the ones you left me when I was sleeping, remember?" He glanced over at her at the memory, something that happened such a long time ago. The Organization had been cruel to him back then, but Xion was always there to make him feel better. Kind of like now...

Xion smiled softly, running a hand over Roxas's back lightly. "Of course I remember," she said, lifting her gaze to Roxas's eyes. "I spent a lot of time searching for shells that weren't broken that I could give to you..." Because you're worth that. I knew that even then, even when we hadn't known each other a very long time.
Roxas's smile returned, the blond nodding his spiky head as he looked back down at the seashell, trying to ignore the way Xion's touch made chills run up his spine. It was the way Namine's touch made him feel in the beginning, when he was crushing on her and at the beginning of their relationship. It had been a touch that was foreign but cherishable, and it worried him that the same thing could be said for Xion's touch.

"Roxas, look away from the seashell," Xion said gently, letting her hand remain still on his back. He couldn't avoid the conversation that they were having just a minute ago. The fact that he was trying to meant that he had feelings for her as well but didn't want to admit it. It was time that he was honest with himself, though.
Roxas looked up at the order, slightly surprised by it. His eyes locked onto Xion's, though, which silenced him from asking any questions. It wasn't like he was going to in the first place; he was still stunned by her confession moments ago. For so long he'd had feelings for her, and now she was returning them? Did she have them all along?

Xion smiled softly, lifting a hand and lightly setting it on Roxas's cheek. There were no words that needed to be spoken now. She could tell in a way that Roxas was starting to accept his feelings for her. After all, he wasn't pulling away with her hand on his back and her other hand on his cheek. Now hopefully he wouldn't pull away from the kiss that she hoped would occur in a moment.
Roxas's smile slowly disappeared as he gazed at Xion, a memory flashing before his eyes at the way she touched his face. She touched him in the same manner just before she turned to crystal and shattered in his arms. He was turned slightly toward her, so it was somewhat the same, but at least the situation was better. Roxas noticed the smile on her lips; she was comfortable with him like this, content--ready. "Xion..." he whispered again, but he was once again at a loss for words. You want to be...with me?
