Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

As they flew, some of the awkwardness started fading away. All that Namine could focus on was having the ability to hold onto Roxas...even if she felt like she already lost him. The whole ride back, she kept her face against him so that it was hidden. The only reason that she didn't cry was because people would notice the tears once they landed at their destination. Crying right now showed weakness, or so she thought.
Riku followed Roxas into Disney Castle's world boundary, lowering his glider into the courtyard as the blond did the same. He was sure now that the King would make sure not to let Namine go off on her own again until she was truly ready, and he hoped it went that way. The girl was like a sister to Riku; he didn't want to lose her, and he was sure Roxas felt the same way, despite his bad decisions.

As Light got off the back of Riku's glider, Namine held on for a second longer than she should have with Roxas. Her reasoning was that she didn't know when she would hold him again, if ever. Still, she couldn't cling to him now. She slowly released him and got off the glider, smoothing out her short blonde hair but letting it be in her face a little bit to hide her expression somewhat.
Roxas didn't get off his glider, still hovering over the ground as he took his hand back from helping Namine off. He looked over at Riku and Lightning, his question silent: Am I needed any longer? If not, Roxas knew that he was to go back to the Islands, though he wasn't sure what that would do; Xion knew that he was there and saw what she did. What good would it do to go back home?

Lightning wasn't sure how to answer what Roxas was obviously wondering, so she looked over at Riku so that he could respond. She wanted to see things mended between Roxas and Namine, but she wasn't going to set them up. If Roxas wanted to sort things out, he would. And he would probably have to fight through Riku to do it.
Riku felt a few pairs of eyes on him, and he looked over at the strongest set. His armor disappeared just as his glider did, and it was clear that his aquamarine eyes were still full of anger at what Roxas did to Namine two weeks ago. He jerked his head to the side, that being enough of a sign. Go home.

Namine glanced over at Riku in time to see him jerk his head for Roxas to leave. The blonde bit her lip, lifting her clasped hands to her lips as she took a few steps back to stand in front of Riku. Though she knew Roxas wouldn't hurt her, she still didn't want to be close to his glider when he took off and left her again.
Roxas found himself disliking the order, his hands curling into fists due to tension. He let his gaze fall on the person he loved, despite everything that had happened between them and what he had done. He stared at her for a few long seconds before setting his feet on his glider, grunting as he shot straight up into the sky. A portal appeared seconds before he met it, the portal swallowing his form before disappearing.

As soon as Roxas disappeared, Namine lowered her head and shut her eyes as her lips started quivering behind her hands. What am I supposed to do now? She didn't have the will to train anymore. All that she truly wanted was to go home. It looked like she wouldn't need to defend herself again any time soon. At least, not alone. And she wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not.
Since Namine was standing in front of him, Riku placed his hand on her shoulder. His senses were high, and he could tell she wasn't doing well. "We should go see the King," he suggested softly, his voice full of a bit of sorrow. He hated seeing her so crushed, but this was Roxas's fault. He had to be the one to fix things, but with effort. He couldn't do it because Riku gave him the chance. Riku wouldn't, not after all he witnessed.

When Namine nodded but didn't move, Lightning took initiative. "I'll go fill him in." She didn't bother waiting for a response, knowing Namine didn't want to face the King right now. What she needed was Riku. The soldier turned and started walking the path to speak to the King, hands curling into fists. This situation really isn't fair.
Riku turned his head to briefly watch Lightning go, but after a moment he returned his attention to Namine. He stepped around her, his hand remaining on her shoulder as he took his place in front of her. "Are you alright?" he asked softly. The answer was obviously going to be a no, but Riku didn't know what else to say. He had never been good at this kind of thing, even if he accepted the role. Sora was always better at comforting people than he was.

Namine shook her head. The answer was so obvious that she didn't bother expanding it. "I want to go home," she said softly, keeping her eyes shut to hide the moisture that gathered behind her eyelids. She didn't know how she would be able to train now that she saw Roxas again. She didn't have the will to do anything any more.
Riku felt his expression soften, his fingers tightening around Namine's smaller shoulder. "...You can't," he said gently. Namine couldn't go back after what just happened. Xion had nearly killed her in the past, and if it weren't for that vest, she would have died today. The knowledge didn't sit well with Riku, but their only choice for Namine's safety was to have her stay here, until she was truly strong enough. Mentally and physically.

Namine shook her head, looking up at Riku. "I need to go home," she said quietly. I can't be away from my friends any longer. Especially Kairi. Kairi would have a fit when she knew what had truly been going on this whole time, and she would probably hate Roxas. That wasn't what Namine wanted, but she needed to be home again.
Riku gazed at Namine, his eyebrows furrowing at the emphasis on her words. He closed his eyes after a moment and slowly shook his head. "It's not safe," he said bluntly. Namine couldn't go back when Xion was still around. It could have deadly consequences.

"I know," Namine said softly, lowering her gaze to Riku's chest. "...I don't care anymore." She defeated Xion once; she could do it again. This time, though, she wouldn't let her guard down. If Xion dared to come to the Islands, she would be ready. Hopefully.
Riku lifted his other hand to Namine's shoulders, bending down slightly. "Namine, look at me," he said then, his voice soft but firm. She couldn't say she didn't care about her own life. Everyone else did. She had to realize that.

Though Riku was stern, Namine wasn't that intimidated. She could play that game too. "No," she said, faintly shaking her head as she refused to make eye-contact. "I know you're going to try and talk me out of it. Say that it's better for me to be miserable here than dead there." But there was no guarantee that she'd die if she went home.
"You have to understand that the rest of us are scared," Riku told Namine, admitting for once that he was afraid. "We don't want to see her get away with this, and you getting stronger is the only way we know that can truly affect the result. You have to get stronger, Namine, or we'll lose you." He felt his eyebrows pull together at a thought that popped into his mind, one he decided would be best to voice. "Do you think any of us want that? ...Do you think Roxas wants that?"
  • Author
"No," Namine said, voice tense at the mention of Roxas. "But it doesn't matter. Whether I'm here or not, I don't have the fire to train any more. I need to go home...Maybe there I can find the strength to fight again." But that strength wasn't something that she would find here. She lost the will to fight, but not the will to live.
Riku could only stare at Namine, firm with his thoughts but deciding he couldn't convince her. The Roxas card hadn't worked, so what else could he use? "We'll see what the King and Lightning think about this, then we'll decide," he stated, releasing Namine and standing upright. "C'mon." He turned and started away from the courtyard and to the the hall, where they would find the King's study.

Namine started following, and though Riku said they would decide after hearing what the King and Lightning had to say, Namine already made up her mind. She was going home, whether her friends approved or not. This place was where she was supposed to get stronger physically, but home was where her heart could be strengthened. That was what she needed right now.

One week later...

It was never hard for Roxas to get through locks; he had a Keyblade after all. It helped that Xion gave him an extra key to Kairi's apartment the week before, something Namine never did. He walked through the place silently, light footsteps easy for him after all this time as the windows let in the morning sunshine. He approached Namine's room and slowly opened the door, poking his head inside to look toward her bed. Despite the fact that they hadn't spoken in over two weeks, even after she came back from Disney Castle, he couldn't help but smile gently at the sight of her. She looked so peaceful when she slept, something opposite from what he saw when she was awake.

Though it was mid-morning, Namine continued sleeping. She used to be an early riser, but ever since she returned home, her sleep schedule was crazy. She wasn't doing much of anything, yet she was tired all the time. Ten hours of sleep a night plus two naps a day and she still felt lousy. She just couldn't break free of this phase where she didn't want to do anything. All she wanted was to sleep until things were better.
