Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Roxas opened the door a little more and stepped inside, shutting it quietly behind him. He approached Namine's bedside, reaching out a hand but stopping himself. He just wanted a moment to look at her while he was alone, without her knowing that his eyes were the pair resting on her. Within the last week, he could barely look at her without receiving a dirty look from someone else. Kairi, especially. Everyone heard about his betrayal, and of course, no one was happy about it. Roxas had been by himself for most of the week, but he was going to change that today. He bent over slightly and set a hand on Namine's shoulder, shaking her gently. "Namine?"

Namine felt a hand lightly shake her, and a soft moan left her lips. "Not now, Kairi," she mumbled. Kairi was the only person who would come into her room and try to wake her; Riku had been checking up on her a lot, but he at least let her sleep. Unless he had a sudden change of heart and was going to try and help her fight again, which was possible. But Namine hoped that wasn't who was waking her; she didn't want to fight anymore.
Roxas's eyebrows furrowed, a weak chuckle leaving him. "Uh...not quite," he said, his hand remaining on Namine's shoulder. He couldn't really sound that close to Kairi; Namine must have been too deep into her sleep to know who was there. Hopefully she woke up soon and realized the truth, but Roxas prayed she didn't freak out when she saw him instead.

That voice isn't deep enough to be Riku's, Namine recognized, lifting a hand to her face to brush her bangs away. She exhaled a soft breath, peeking her eyes open and looking over to the side. She only blinked once to make sure that she wasn't just seeing things. "Roxas?" This is a dream, right? You wouldn't really be here right now in real life.
Roxas nodded, a weak smile on his lips. "Right," he said softly. At least she got it right this time; he didn't think he could handle being mistaken for a girl again. Roxas took his hand away from Namine's shoulder now that she was awake, standing upright. If he was going to offer her a choice, he needed to do it with sincerity. Namine wouldn't accept it if it was any other way.

Namine slowly sat herself up, the covers still over her. She was too tired and emotionally drained to be alarmed that Roxas was in her room, which was probably for the best anyway. "What's going on?" she asked, lifting a hand to rub her eyes. If Roxas was here, something must have been up. It involved Xion, didn't it?
Roxas lifted a hand to the back of his head, glancing away. "Sorry for...er...barging in, but I needed to talk to you," he managed, his eyes finding the girl again as he let his hand fall. He had a proposition for her, but if she refused, he wouldn't be offended. It would make sense, if she rejected him. It would be a good dose of karma towards him for what he did.

"Okay?" Namine prodded, though her tone wasn't impatient or harsh. It was the same tone that she had all the time, which showed how she was struggling with all this and not coping well. A lot of things broke her lately, and somehow, Roxas knowing the truth about Xion affected her deeply. She tried protecting him from this, but failed. And she tried protecting herself and failed at that too. What was the point of even trying anymore?
Roxas looked away again, hesitating before he decided to stop beating around the bush. "I know how little you've been training lately, and I don't know why," he started, voice soft. His eyes were the same once they found Namine again, the boy trying to show the sincerity that rested in his heart. "But...I wanted to help if I could. If you want me to leave you alone, I understand, because that may help you better than me training you, but..." But I just want to make things better for you.

Namine looked down at her lap, not because she was upset with Roxas's words. On the contrary, she could tell that they were very sincere. He wanted to train her? He actually wanted to be near her, even if he loved Xion? She hoped this wasn't an act of pity. "Things can't get much worse than they already are," she said dryly, voice soft. Having Roxas in her life couldn't make things worse than they presently were, or so she thought.
Roxas wasn't sure how to take that. Things couldn't get worse? Did that mean that he would just be a nuisance? Roxas lifted a hand to run over his spikes, though he only managed to mess them up more than they already were. "Umm..." he stuttered. What did that mean exactly? "J-just...just forget I asked." He turned away then, starting for the door. He didn't want to help if that was exactly what he wasn't going to do. Roxas wanted to make things better, not worse.

"Roxas," Namine called, turning so her feet were on the ground. "...I'll give it a try, if you want to." She had no idea how it would go, but like she said, things couldn't get much worse than they already were. Things could only go up from here hopefully. And besides...this could have been her one chance to spend time with Roxas.
Roxas stopped halfway across the room, turning around a little to look at Namine. You mean that? he wanted to ask, but he couldn't find his voice. He gazed at Namine in silence for a moment, then nodding. "...Okay," he replied softly, the weakest of smiles forming. She was giving him a chance. That was all he could really ask for. Even that much surprised him.

Roxas's weak smile brought the smallest one out of Namine. "When do you want to start?" she asked, her smile fading in seriousness. She really didn't want to fight, but she didn't think she had a choice. She had to do something other than what she was already doing. Life couldn't stay like this.
Roxas's smile turned up on one side, becoming a smirk. "Now," he said then. Namine wasn't exactly ready, so she needed to hurry or the offer would drop. Well, he would threaten it, but what was the threat? Riku and Lightning could easily train Namine if she asked; Roxas was just offering.

Namine's eyes widened. "Now?" she asked in shock, glancing down at her tank top and plaid pajama pants. She just woke up five minutes ago! Roxas couldn't be serious...She looked back up and saw that smirk, but even if he was smirking, she could tell that he meant it. She could read him well most of the time.
Roxas nodded, gazing at Namine for a moment before he started for the door. "Better hurry," he called, his smirk turning into a small smile again. "You know how impatient I can get." He glanced over his shoulder at her when he was by the door, making eye contact one final time before he left the room. He would let Namine get ready, then they would go to the Island for training.

Namine caught herself scowling like she often did whenever Roxas was ridiculous. It wasn't an angry scowl; it was a loving one. She blinked at that as she wiped that scowl off her face, hurrying to her dresser and pulling out a pair of jeans and a shirt before going to the bathroom to get changed. Today, she would pick up her sword again.
Roxas waited in the living room for Namine to get ready, though he was sure he wouldn't have to wait long. Namine did know how impatient he could get, which made his point. Instead of sitting, he stood near the fireplace, examining the pictures resting on the mantel. There was one of Sora and Kairi, a copy of an engagement picture he recognized, and in the middle was a larger one of the five of them--Sora, Kairi, Riku, Roxas, and Namine; a picture taken a long time ago. Roxas smiled softly at the memory before his eyes danced to the next picture, one that was mediocre compared to Sora and Kairi's on the other side. It was of him and Namine, with Roxas's arms encircling Namine's waist from behind while she laughed. Surprisingly, this one made Roxas's smile turn sad.

Namine managed to make it to the kitchen within a minute or two of changing, knowing she would need to eat a little bit before they went. "Okay," she said as she entered the living room, holding a banana in one hand and a bottle of water in the other. She wore a light purple shirt and dark blue jeans, Lightning's weapon pack strapped on behind her. She was as ready as she was going to be.
Roxas turned around at the single word, his eyes finding the person he loved--even after everything. "Right," he said, his smile fading away. He jerked his head to the side, toward the door. "Let's go." He started in that direction so he could lead the way; Namine didn't know they would be going to the Island for the private tutoring session.

Namine took a few quicker steps to catch up to Roxas, right behind him as they exited the apartment. She shut the door behind the both of them and wordlessly started eating, again knowing that Roxas could be impatient. She wouldn't hold him up and wait to start eating right before they started training. She wondered what exactly he had in mind for this.
Roxas walked with Namine down to the beach, and from there he took them to the Island on his glider, since it was much faster than one of the row boats. When they arrived, he helped Namine get off before he jumped down to the ground, though he let his glider disappear; he wouldn't need his Keyblade yet. First, he had to know the basics of what exactly Namine already knew, and she had to know what he already found out a long time ago, back in the Organization--how Xion fought.

Namine didn't bother reaching for the sword right away when they landed, certain Roxas would give her warning when they were about to start. She was a little...concerned. There was absolutely no way that Roxas was going to fight in a way that could potentially hurt her, so what could she gain out of this if they weren't going to take it seriously?
Roxas stood only a few feet behind Namine, so he let his eyes rest on her in the silence. Only the waves surrounded them with noise, even if it was subtle. After a moment, however, he decided to speak. "How much did they teach you?" he asked, getting to the point. Riku, Lightning, and the King. They had to have taught her all kinds of things.
