Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"You're wrong," Namine disagreed softly. "You don't deserve it." This started because Roxas was grieving the death of a close friend. That was innocent enough. And when that friend returned, he had to try and find out what they could have had in the past. She understood that. It still killed her that Roxas kissed Xion and that he loved her so much, but it wasn't his fault. Love just sort of happened.
"You don't deserve to die because of me," Roxas said then, his voice holding tension at just the thought. He held Namine even closer, pressing her to his chest as he held her. Nobody died because of him, ever. He wasn't that important, no matter what Xion thought. She was convinced killing Namine would solve the problem, but it would only make Roxas dislike her, not love her.

Namine didn't bother saying anything to that, not able to find her voice anyway. Instead, she decided just to savor being in Roxas's embrace. He said that he still loved her, that he didn't want her to die. He wanted to help her stay alive. These were all good things, but with everything that happened, Namine couldn't help but wonder where this was taking them. Could things ever completely be okay again?
Roxas closed his eyes, releasing a small breath. "...If anyone should be apologizing, it's me," he whispered. He had been wrong to kiss Xion, but his heart had sought the interaction. He never did know what could have happened if she hadn't gone away, so when she came back, he seized the opportunity. But...it didn't justify his actions. He should have done it when he wasn't dating Namine. And now that he wasn't, he didn't want to kiss Xion. Not after what he witnessed a week ago. That shattered him.

I understand why you did what you did, Namine thought silently, holding Roxas a little more tightly. It's okay. Well, it wasn't okay that he kissed Xion when he was still in a relationship with Namine, but it was okay that he was curious about what could have been. It was only natural, even if it did break Namine's heart.
Roxas knew he was wrong; the second after the kiss between him and Xion ended, the guilt overwhelmed him. It didn't help that Lightning slapped him and Riku nearly beat him to a pulp. But...Namine hadn't done anything. Why? Roxas loosened his hold on the girl slightly, not sure why she was even holding him. He had been awful, and yet she could still touch him?

Namine opened her eyes, feeling Roxas loosen his hold on her. She assumed that was her cue for her to loosen her hold on him as well. She did just that, her fist coming undone as her head also moved off his shoulder so that she could look at him better. She didn't know what to say now, so she didn't bother saying anything.
Roxas pulled back a little, though he was still close to Namine. One hand came around her back to rest on her shoulder, while the other moved from the back of her head to the side of it, his fingers weaving through her blonde strands. What have I done? he thought, gazing at her. She was beautiful, smart, funny, kind, caring, loving...and he just threw it away. "...I ruined us," he said without thought, the words leaving his lips before he could stop them. He ruined his relationshp with Namine again.

"Did you?" Namine dared to ask, her voice barely above a whisper. They still loved each other, didn't they? Couldn't they recover this somehow? She knew that she wanted to, despite Roxas's betrayal. But she blamed most of that on Xion; Xion was the one who seduced Roxas. And he had been too vulnerable because of all his grieving lately to not fall into it. It was Xion's fault. But Roxas loved Xion, so she couldn't be fully punished. It was a vicious cycle.
Roxas nodded a little in confirmation. Yes, he did ruin their relationship, but it wasn't the first time. He had a terrible track record. Roxas's eyes softened at the realization, his hands falling as he took a step away from Namine. He couldn't hurt her again... That was why he was trying to help the best he could. The first thing he had to do was help her survive. After that, he wasn't sure.

"I don't know if that's true," Namine whispered after a moment, her eyes still on Roxas. Her hands were back down at her sides after they wiped at some of the tears that Namine shed. She didn't know if it was over yet. They had rough patches before but managed to recover. Maybe they could do that this time around too.
"How can you say that?" Roxas asked, his voice weak. Just a second ago he was so firm and strict, tough. Now, he was nothing but fragile. It made him feel pathetic, like he wasn't truly a young man anymore. He felt like a little boy who had lost his way.

"Because," Namine said softly as she lowered her gaze to the ground. "I can't believe it was all for nothing." She and Roxas were almost always together. They had fights and disagreements, but they always made up because they loved each other. He had his flaws and so did she. Though he was a better person than she--stronger, braver--he still loved her. She didn't want to lose what she had.
Roxas looked away at that, his head lowering as his eyes darted to the side. He could agree to that; the two of them went through too much to be apart. But...here they were, separated even if they were right in front of each other. Disconnected. And it was all because of what he did with Xion, someone he had always wondered "what if" about. But...she wasn't the person he thought she was. She was evil... She's a monster. The thought caused Roxas to close his eyes, feeling defeated. Xion...

Namine bit down on her lip at Roxas's expression, fighting the urge to reach out a hand towards him. She shifted her gaze to the ocean so she wouldn't have to see his sad expression. She didn't know for certain what made his expression so sad now; maybe he pitied her for thinking that they still had hope. Or maybe it was Xion.
Roxas wasn't sure what to say, so he didn't speak a word. A gentle breeze came by and brushed his bangs in and out of his face, not that he cared. He was just so confused. How did he go about even living anymore? He loved Namine, he truly did. But he hurt her and hurt her and hurt her, again and again. He didn't want to do that anymore. And then there was Xion, someone who had played him to the core. She wasn't who Roxas thought she was, not anymore.

After a few moments, Namine bent down and picked up Light's gunblade. The sand naturally fell off of it as she turned it, shifting it to its other form before putting it away. "I guess training is over," she said quietly, shifting her gaze to the sky. She definitely didn't want to start fighting again. In reality, she didn't know what it was that she wanted.
"Mm," Roxas hummed with a small nod, opening his eyes. He lifted his gaze from the ground to Namine, just gazing at her. Would this be the last time he saw her now? He had a key to her apartment, but he was respectful enough not to use it unless he had to. Today was an exception, he supposed. Regardless of that, what was Namine going to do now?

Namine slowly sat herself down in the sand, bringing up her knees as her arms wrapped around them lightly. She just hadn't felt like standing anymore, not that she really felt like sitting either. I really need to sort this out... she thought. I need to get out of this slump. I need to be strong... But she didn't know how to accomplish any of it. She felt like a lost cause.

Roxas gazed down at Namine when she lowered herself to the ground, but at that moment, his trained ears picked up on a noise. He turned his head sharply, though he instantly wanted to cower away. Riku.

Riku walked toward the two blondes in silence, though his footsteps were calm. He had been worried sick over Namine because she wouldn't answer her phone, but she was with Roxas the entire time. He guessed that was okay; it was better than being with Xion.

Namine caught movement out of the corner of her eye, and it wasn't Roxas. She turned her head and saw Riku walking towards her and Roxas. That wasn't too surprising that Riku suddenly appeared; he was always quiet and commonly came out of nowhere. But she had a feeling that he hadn't been here long, so he didn't see or hear her and Roxas talking earlier.
"I've been looking for you," Riku said, directing his attention to Namine. "I called you, but you didn't answer." He stopped walking, only a few feet from either blonde. He looked from Namine to Roxas, who instantly broke eye contact. "I guess I know why."

Namine instinctively set her hands on top of her jean pockets. "Sorry!" she said to Riku, feeling guilty. "I forgot my phone." In the rush to leave the house, she had completely forgotten about bringing her phone with her. Riku couldn't watch over her twenty-four seven, so he liked texting every once in a while just to make sure she was still alive.
Riku shook his head, signaling that it was fine. He glanced over at Roxas then, who was staring at the ground. "As long as you're safe," he said, meaning it. Namine was away from Xion, and even if Riku didn't exactly approve of Roxas being here, he could tell everything was okay. That was what mattered.

Namine nodded faintly, silently vowing that she wouldn't forget her phone and worry Riku again. She knew how badly she was worrying him just by being on this world, and that made her consider going back to Disney Castle. But if she went there, she'd have to start training again. And that was something that she simply couldn't do right now.
