A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"Good job," Terra said to Riku, taking a step back when he helped him to his feet. Really, it had been a good fight. Terra was more experienced and that had helped him, but Riku did very well considering that he taught himself a lot.

"Thanks," Riku said, taking in a needed breath. "You too." Terra had a lot of strength, and Riku had to admit that it was what caused him to lose. He fell to the strength, but they both put in equal effort and it didn't matter who actually won or lost the match... It was anybody's game.

Terra nodded slightly, his hands back to his side. "I think you'll have to teach me a few of your tricks when we get back home," he said, a smirk starting to appear on his face. Riku had a lot of neat tricks up his sleeve, and Terra was interested in learning a few.

Riku smiled a little, taking that as a compliment. "You got it," he said with a nod. That would actually be an honor, since Terra chose Riku to wield the Keyblade. A successor being his teacher? That was different, but Riku didn't have anything against it, and obviously neither did Terra.

Ven went over to Terra and Riku, having heard the short conversation on his way over. "You guys were awesome!" he said, smiling widely at his two older friends. That fight had been so exciting to watch, and he was glad to see that Terra didn't have any trouble controlling his Darkness this time around.

Roxas showed up only a few seconds after Ventus, and he nodded with a smile of his own. Ven was right; they both were really good. The match had been long and challenging. Roxas could observe that much from the sidelines.

 

Riku's smile softened a little and he nodded to both blonds in thanks. Things had been difficult in the fight; it probably looked that way too.

Terra couldn't help but smile, noticing Ven's excitement in particular. Someday, maybe Ventus could go through this exam as well. There were different qualifications that one had to meet before they could take the test, and he hoped that someday his best friend could take the exam too.

"It's too bad Sora had to miss this. He would have loved to see that!" Roxas said, smiling weakly. Sora was always into these kinds of things, and his best friend even showed how much he wanted to come. Unfortunately, he couldn't make it.

Ven nodded slightly, understanding where Roxas was coming from. Sora had really wanted to come, but because he couldn't defend himself if any danger rose in this world, he wasn't allowed to come. He still didn't have his Keyblade back, so he couldn't have used his glider to come anyway. But still, he knew Sora was bummed about it.

Riku's smile went away at that, and he lowered his eyes to the ground as he nodded. Sora should've been here to see this. He wanted his best friend here to see him take this exam, and possibly gain a new, truer title.

"Well, hopefully we're return with some good news, right Riku?" Terra said, patting Riku on the shoulder when he saw his reaction to Roxas. He knew how important it must have been for Riku to have his best friend here, but it was just impossible right now to have Sora leave Destiny Islands. He had to stay there, for his own safety.

Riku looked up at Terra and nodded. "Yeah...Hopefully," he replied. He did want to return home with some good news. Not only because this would be a huge achievement, but because he knew how proud Sora and Kairi would be of him. And Namine too.

"Try not to worry about it too much," Terra said, sensing that Riku was anxious to find out what Aqua and Master Yen Sid thought. "Even if it doesn't happen this time, there will be other opportunities to take the test." He himself had taken it more than once, after all. If Riku didn't become a Master this time around, there was always next time.

"Right," Riku said with a faint nod. This was Terra's second test, if he remembered correctly. So he could still have another shot at this if it didn't work out this time around.

"When will I be able to take the test?" Ven asked, looking up at Terra when he asked the question. He wanted to be a Keyblade Master too! It was another thing that he, Aqua, and Terra could have in common.

 

"When Master Yen Sid thinks you're ready," Terra replied, his tone patient with Ven. It wasn't up to Terra, or Aqua. He guessed that she could have given the test and appointed a Master, but she probably wasn't comfortable with that. Really, it was Master Yen Sid that thought this test would be a good idea for Terra and Riku.

Riku smiled weakly at Ventus's obvious impatience, and then he looked to Roxas. "You have two other people who are right up your alley," he said, glancing at Ventus, but then his eyes went back to Roxas.

 

Roxas looked at Riku, meeting his gaze. He knew that he was referring to him, but Sora too. Yeah, Roxas wanted to be a Keyblade Master in its truest form, but he didn't want to worry about it right now. He'd had enough stress in the past; he needed a break for a while.

Terra nodded in agreement, knowing that Sora and Roxas would want to become Keyblade Masters someday. But even without the title, these teens had managed to do remarkable things. They had his respect already for that, and they were already Masters in his eyes.

 

Ven hummed, nodding faintly when he understood Riku's point. He, Roxas, and Sora. The three of them trying to earn the title...That would be interesting.

Roxas let his eyes glance from Riku to Ven, and then to Terra. They were all eligible to become Masters, like Aqua, Yen Sid, and King Mickey. It was a huge honor, and that was a little intimidating, he had to admit.

"It might take them a little while to reach a decision," Terra said, folding his arms over his chest and looking towards the ground in thought. It had taken Master Eraqus a little while to reach a decision, so he assumed it would be the same today with Master Yen Sid and Aqua.

"So...we just stand here while we wait?" Roxas asked, arching an eyebrow in question. If it would take a while, he kinda wanted to be comfortable. But if that wasn't the correct order during the Mark of Mastery exams, then he would stick through the long wait.

"Pretty much," Terra confirmed with a nod, looking up to the blond who asked the question. "If you wander off too far, you'll miss the results." And surely Roxas wanted to hear what Master Yen Sid and Aqua decided.

Roxas shook his head. "Then I won't. I don't wanna miss this," he said, looking between both contestants with a smile. He was excited to hear the results. He wasn't going to miss them on purpose.

Terra felt himself smile faintly, and he nodded to acknowledge Roxas's response. He really wasn't surprised that he had said that; that was the response he had been expecting. After all, there wasn't much point in coming to see the test only to miss the results.

Riku looked to where Aqua and Yen Sid disappeared to, wondering what they could be saying back there. He was getting anxious; this was pretty important, not only to him but to Terra too. And their friends.

For a while, the group was silent. Terra wasn't too talkative, thinking about what would happen if he became a Master. And if he didn't, well, he would survive. Unlike the last time he took the test, this time he knew that his title wasn't what defined him.
