Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Namine felt Roxas's breath move some of her short hair, tickling her neck a little bit. That wasn't a sensation that she minded in the slightest. Not only was Roxas close, but he was close enough to hold her like this and for her to feel his breath on her neck. As far as she was concerned, this was the best this moment could have been. In fact, it was so comforting that it made her sleepy. The hard training session helped with that urge too.
"Nam," Roxas said after another moment of silence, his voice a murmur due to his drowsiness. "You won't be mad if I fall asleep, will you?" His lack of sleep the past few nights was catching up with him, as well as the energy he used to train Namine today. It was enough for him to crave a small nap.

Namine smiled softly. "As long as you don't mind me doing the same," she said quietly, eyes remaining shut. It seemed like both of them were on the same wavelength in more ways than one. A nap would do both of them some good, especially since they were together again.
Roxas smiled a little more, nuzzling his face into Namine's hair as he shook his head. "Mm-mm," he hummed softly. He wouldn't mind at all. All he had wanted for a while now was to sleep next to Namine. Now he was finally getting his wish.

Namine's smile remained at Roxas's drowsy hum. She laced her fingers with his in the hand that was over her stomach, her hand on top of his. Once that was done, she exhaled a soft breath and let her body relax more. It was time to rest in complete peace for once.

A few days later...

Roxas walked with his hand in Namine's, his eyes scanning the Beast's castle from where they were on the bridge. It was daytime, and since the Beast was now a prince, the castle was completely different from the last time he saw it. He was sure it wasn't what Namine had wanted to see; the two of them had been in town getting supplies that was special to only this world when she saw the castle in the distance. So, here they were. A few of their friends weren't too far behind, saying they would stop by when they were done in the village. Regardless, Roxas couldn't help but remember the last time he was here...with Xion. Roxas stopped walking, his hand falling out of Namine's as he stared up at the castle. That was a different time, with a different girl. Way different.

Namine and Roxas were just at the start of the bridge when he released her hand. She ignored it, taking a few quicker steps forward as she gazed at the castle in awe. "Wow," she whispered. It's beautiful. She was a bit sad that she couldn't go inside, but that was okay; she had come just expecting to see the outside of it. That wouldn't disturb the normal lives of the Beast and Belle. The blonde smiled faintly, lowering her gaze to the gate way further ahead. She blinked, though, at the translucent purple barrier that shut off the gate, and at the sound of another one appearing behind her and separating her from Roxas.
Roxas blinked when he walked right into a barrier, grunting because he hit his head. He lifted a hand to it only briefly before he looked past Namine to see who was there. "Namine," he called in fear, eyes widening. Xion... No, it can't be. Not now, he thought. Things had been going so well, and now Namine was being trapped!

Xion appeared on the path in front of Namine, the latter's eyes going from Roxas to her. She had been waiting a long time for this chance, and even if Roxas was here, she wouldn't be hindered. If she couldn't have Roxas's love, then nobody could. She summoned her Keyblade and pointed it at Namine, eyebrows furrowed as she looked at only Namine. Slowly, Namine reached behind her and pulled out Lightning's gunblade to defend herself. Not that it mattered. This time, she was as good as dead.
"Xion!" Roxas hollered, putting his hands up against the barrier. "Please, don't!" She couldn't do this... If she really cared about him, she wouldn't hurt Namine! Xion had to know that was what mattered, not Namine's death. But...this isn't Xion. Not the Xion I knew.

The only affect Roxas's cry had was one that made Namine jump faintly. Xion didn't even glance at Roxas, let alone respond to his request. She ran forward and initiated the fight instead, swinging the Keyblade at Namine roughly in silence. Namine blocked it with a grunt, not collapsing under the pressure. She remembered what Roxas told her a little while ago, and that was that Xion liked to taunt her enemies and get inside their head. I won't let that happen to me. But what else did Roxas tell me? I can't remember!
"No!" Roxas roared, banging his fist against the barrier. "Stop!" He watched helplessly as the fight began, his wide eyes darting back and forth. Remember what I told you. She's going to break you down and get under your skin. Xion won't stop until you're angry and lash out, he silently told Namine. Don't waste your energy!

Namine managed to push Xion away, but the fight continued on despite that. Xion seemed keen on keeping Namine locked in a sword-to-sword battle instead of letting Namine do what she excelled in: magic. There wasn't much Namine could do about that; the bridge wasn't extremely narrow, but it wasn't wide enough either. She couldn't withdraw properly to shoot a magic attack at Xion, especially not when the latter kept trying to drive her to the edge of the bridge. How am I supposed to do this?! she thought after a little while, wincing when Xion managed to hit her arm.
Riku had been walking down the path to the castle when he heard strange noises, and sensed Darkness. He stopped in his tracks, listening closely. That was when he heard strained shouts and cries like those used in battle. With the Darkness, that's not a good sign, he realized. Riku grunted and took off into a sprint, following the path down to the castle gates. That was when he saw Roxas continuously throwing his Keyblades at the invisible barrier, trying to break it down. Beyond him, however, made Riku's eyes widened. Xion...facing Namine?! Riku's rushed footsteps caught Roxas's attention just after he threw Oblivion, but to no avail. The barrier still stood.

Xion smacked Namine's side, sending her rolling to the side. The blonde stopped by the wall that separated her and the edge, clearly wounded but still making an effort to sit up quickly. "Pathetic, witch," she said, voice so low that only Namine could hear it. "If you really want to live, then you'll have to do better than that."

Namine grunted, both in pain and anger. She opened her free hand as she laid on her side and shot fireballs at Xion, who jumped back and to the side to avoid them.

"But that's it, isn't it?" Xion asked, staring at Namine with harsh blue eyes without attacking right away. "You've always been the weak one, depending on some hero to save you. Now you can't even save yourself!"

Riku skidded to a halt next to Roxas, who was panting hard from throwing his weapons. "What's going on?" he demanded, glaring at the sight before him before his eyes darted to the blond next to him. Why was Xion here? And how did Roxas get separated from her?

"Xion... She trapped Namine inside," Roxas managed, breathing heavily as his fearful gaze went back to the two girls fighting. "Namine got ahead of me, and Xion just..." He shook his head, striking the barrier again only to get nowhere. C'mon!

Lightning started running as soon as Riku had, and she reached the two boys within a few seconds. She didn't even bother asking, looking past the barrier and seeing Xion and Namine. Both looked wounded, but Namine was worse off. Not good. She turned her head away as Namine got back up and used magic to attack, her eyes resting on Sora as he too joined them and gazed at the scene with wide eyes.
"Namine?!" Kairi cried in fear, catching up to Sora in only a few seconds; her training helped her gain some speed. And Xion? She glanced over in time to catch Riku grabbing Roxas by the arm to stop him from swinging again, telling him that it didn't matter how many times he tried, he wouldn't be able to break through the barrier; Xion's magic was too strong. But why was this happening?!

Namine heard a blur of things, including Kairi's cry and Riku's words to Roxas. Mostly she heard her own heart beat in her ears, jumping backwards to avoid Xion's sword. She wanted the fight to be in close quarters again, and understandably so. That was where she excelled. Her eyes widened as she jumped back, though she was closer to the edge than she thought. She landed atop the small wall, catching her balance quickly and recovering from the surprise. When Xion ran forward, Namine jumped over her. But that was Xion's whole point. She swung her Keyblade while Namine was over her, hitting her shins and forcing Namine to land gracelessly on her stomach right behind Xion. I can't move...
Roxas looked away from Riku, his eyes finding the girls battling. He looked over in time to see Xion's move, which caused his eyes to widen more. Namine was down on the ground, not moving. "No," he grunted, feeling Riku release his arm as he too saw what was happening, albeit with narrowed eyes instead of wide ones much like Roxas's. Kairi came to stand on the other side of the blond, her lips parted in fear. "Xion!"

Xion knelt down as Namine feebly swung at her, but Xion was too fast to get hit by it. She let the blade swing past her before she grabbed Namine's wrist and squeezed it, forcing her to drop the gunblade that she wasn't fit to wield. It's over, she thought, expression the same as it had been all along as she knelt down and grabbed Namine's neck. She dragged the blonde up, walking over to the edge of the bridge and standing on the edge as she held Namine over the ravine. This is the end.

Namine winced at the hand that held her throat, barely able to breathe. She lifted a hand and set it on Xion's arm, eyes shut momentarily. "S-stop..." she murmured weakly, feeling only air beneath her feet. Even without looking, she knew what was going to happen. Xion was going to drop her and let her fall to her death while Roxas and her other friends couldn't even get to her.

Riku grunted, taking a step closer to the barrier as he witnessed Xion's evil come through at full force. Don't do it, he ordered internally. Xion couldn't be that heartless. Then again, this wasn't the same Xion he and Roxas knew from the past; she was a monster.

"Xion, don't!" Kairi cried, seeing her sister dangling over the edge. Her heart pounded in her chest, full of fear and adrenaline that she normally didn't have. We have to stop her! But what could they do?

"I told you from the start that I'd win," Xion said lowly so that only Namine could hear. "You should have just taken my word for it. I would have made your death much less painful than this."

"You don't want to do this..." Namine murmured, eyebrows furrowing as she opened her eyes and looking at Xion. She heard her friends' cries from the boundary, but she didn't dare look over. She didn't want them seeing her fear. "Stop."

"But I do want this," Xion responded mercilessly. "So I will. Goodbye, Namine."

"I said stop!" Namine cried in a firmer voice, feeling Xion loosen her grip on her neck. But then, Xion's expression suddenly changed. Her blue eyes widened at her expression became blank as she released Namine completely and dropped in a faint. The blonde was too stunned by seeing her collapse and drop her at the same time that she didn't even have breath to scream. She dropped a few feet and managed to grab onto the edge of the wall, barely keeping herself up as the barriers went down and she dangled over the edge.

Roxas stepped back slightly, seeing the barrier fade. It was then that he got rid of his Keyblades and darted over toward the ledge yards away from the entrance, ignoring Xion's unconscious form as he made his way to Namine. He bent over the ledge and grasped her wrist, grunting as he saw how far the drop would be. No way was he about to let Namine fall to her death. Not now, not ever.

Namine's panicked eyes landed on Roxas when he grasped her wrist, though he couldn't pull her up well when that hand was still grasping the ledge for dear life. She lifted her other hand and grabbed onto the ledge as well, just in time to feel her other hand lose its grip. She squeaked weakly and squeezed her eyes shut, even if Roxas had a hold of that hand and wouldn't let her go. Get me up! she thought in terror. Please!
