Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Roxas kept his tight grip on Namine's hand, gritting his teeth as he fought against gravity to hold her weight. He lifted his free hand to grasp just above her wrist, grinding his teeth as he started to pull her up. He heard footsteps nearby, though he didn't pay attention to who they belonged to. It wasn't Xion, since she was out cold. Thank goodness, too, because Roxas was terrified she would wake up and finish Namine off.

Namine felt Roxas pull her up, the latter doing the majority of the work. She did, however, pull herself up a little bit so that she wasn't dangling over the edge any longer. Her knees found the top of the wall as she started shaking, eyes still wide and voice caught in her throat because of what nearly happened. I almost...I mean, I know I was near death before, but this time... It was terrifying.
Roxas helped Namine down from the ledge, though he instantly pulled her to his chest, gripping her tightly. I almost lost you...he thought. This wasn't the first time, though; he thought he lost her back in Traverse Town not too long ago. It was terrifying...

Namine gasped raggedly at Roxas's tight embrace, her eyes growing moist immediately. She looked over his shoulder and saw the others were close-by, looking startled as well. Even Light looked a little panicked. She weakly hugged Roxas back as she kept shaking, hiding her face in his shoulder. It's over....I need to calm down now...

Kairi saw the wounds Namine had from Xion, and she casted a Cure spell with a wave of her hand. She didn't care if Namine didn't notice or thank her, since she was too busy holding onto Roxas. Kairi didn't blame her; if she were in that position, she would want nothing more than to hold onto Sora either. She looked over when Riku walked past her, approaching Xion's fallen form. He bent down and checked her pulse before looking back at them, eyes hard.

"She's not dead. Only unconscious," Riku informed the others with a small nod. Whatever Namine managed to do, it wasn't enough to get rid of Xion for good. Riku guessed it didn't matter, as long as Namine was alive.

Namine peeked her head out or Roxas's shoulder, seeing Riku kneeling down by Xion. She collapsed because of me, she realized, tightly gripping the back of Roxas's shirt. I...I did that, didn't I? I destroyed her... She tapped into a power that she only used one time in the past and did it to Xion to save her own skin. She crushed Xion's heart just like she did with the Riku replica.
Roxas felt Namine's grip tighten, which only encouraged him to lift his hand to the back of her head. He let his fingers weave into her hair as he turned his head toward her. "You're alright," he said, his tone calm and soothing as he held her. Namine was alive, for whatever reason. He wasn't sure what she did, but it saved her.

Namine realized then that she was shaking faintly, and gripping the back of Roxas's shirt tightly. "But...I didn't mean to do that," she said, voice expressing some horror. She vowed that she wouldn't ever hurt somebody that way again a very long time ago, but today, she broke that vow. I'm a witch. I'm really, really a witch...
"Even if you didn't, you're alive because of it," Roxas said quietly, his eyes closing at the truth behind his words. "That's what matters." Namine was alive because of whatever power she used, and Roxas was glad she had it. If she didn't...

Namine buried her face in Roxas's shoulder again, though she was too shaken up to appreciate how calm he was despite the fear he had experienced as well. She couldn't stand to look at Xion any longer. But now, what would happen to Xion? Was she changed like the Riku replica had changed? Was she...good again?
Riku looked down at Xion with a bit of pity, unable to believe that the girl he once knew was a monster. She had sacrificed herself to set things right, and now she was willing to sacrifice others for her own gain. Pathetic, he thought. Riku then reached down, putting is arms underneath Xion's form before picking her up and rising to his feet. He turned to the others, nodding. Despite what Xion did, none of them were cruel enough to leave her here; she would go back to the Islands, and under close watch.

Lightning looked down at Xion before she looked back up at Riku, eyebrows furrowed slightly as she looked at his eyes. Are you so sure this is a good idea? she silently asked him, knowing that he was planning on taking Xion back to the Islands. Lightning believed Xion was beyond redemption, especially because of what she nearly did to Namine just now.
Riku glanced down at the girl in his arms before he made eye contact with Lightning again, the young man silently nodding. I'll watch her, he explained, his expression speaking for him. He wasn't going to let Xion out of his sight; he was stronger than her, that much he knew. He beat her in the past.

Light nodded faintly in silence. If you're sure. It may have been better this way, anyway. If they let Xion leave and recover on her own, they'd have no way to guess when she would attack again. This way, she was under their watch. Even if this way was still dangerous, it was better.

Destiny Islands, a few hours later

Riku leaned against the back of the couch, looking over his shoulder slightly at the sleeping Xion spread out along the furniture. It had been a few hours since they got back from Beast's Castle, and she hadn't woken up yet. Whatever Namine did, it not only saved her skin, but also affected Xion more than any of them probably thought. The young man glanced up at the blonde girl, who hadn't spoken since they got back. He was worried about her, even if she was safe and sound; she hadn't stopped pacing since they got to Light's.

  • Author
Just as she had been doing since they returned from Beast's Castle, Namine continued pacing the area without feeling Riku's gaze on her. What have I done? she thought in horror. I crushed her heart without even thinking about it. Am I a monster? Xion had been about to kill her, but the sudden appearance of Namine's old powers startled her. She hadn't meant to cause serious harm...
Roxas sat in one of the chairs in the room, his eyes trailing Namine's movements. Sheesh, why won't she stop? "Namine...you did what you had to," he reasoned softly. She had to calm down, or else she would lose herself to this guilt. What Namine didn't wasn't wrong; she had to save herself.
  • Author
Namine shook her head without stopping her pacing. She turned and walked back the direction she had come from, since the room was only so big. I know that what I did saved my life, she thought in silence, watching her feet that were dragging because of her tiredness. But that's just it. What I did proves I'm a witch. I don't want to be a witch anymore with that kind of lethal power... It was too heavy a burden.
Roxas's eyebrows furrowed, his lips parting. That's the sixth time she's shaken her head at me, he realized in disbelief. This had to stop. Namine had been going at this for too long. Roxas pushed himself up from his seat and stepped in front of Namine, placing his hands on her shoulders. "Hey, look at me," he encouraged gently. She had to realize that what she did was for the greater good.
  • Author
Again, Namine found herself shaking her head as she looked down. She was already forced to stop pacing now that Roxas was in front of her and holding onto her; all she could do was hope that he didn't force her to look at him. He didn't want to see the look in her eyes right now, whatever it was. She dealt with insecurity a lot in the past, and now it was coming again. She was a witch, even after all this time. And her powers could seriously hurt somebody, even if she didn't want them to. It was terrifying to think that if she ever lost her temper with Roxas, her powers would make themselves known. I don't want to hurt him, or any of my other friends.
Roxas bent his head a little, trying to get a look at Namine's face. "You saved yourself," he said again, speaking the words for the third time. "If it weren't for that, you wouldn't be here." He lowered his voice to a faint whisper, since it was quiet in the room. "You wouldn't be here...with me. Do you know how thankful I am for what happened?" He could have lost Namine. He was upset Xion got hurt, yes (since he still believe his best friend was in there somewhere). But it couldn't compare to nearly losing Namine.

"But," Namine whispered without looking up, "I didn't mean to do that. I didn't think I was capable of doing it again, and this time it happened without my consent." She shivered in fright to what she asked next. "What if that happens again?" She could seriously hurt somebody. Roxas didn't grasp exactly what happened yet; how could he? Nobody but Sora and Larxene knew what she did to Riku's replica.
Roxas knew that Namine had done this before; when he asked what happened, she told him of how she used the same powers that she used against Xion on the Riku replica. "I know you didn't mean to, I know," he said, squeezing her shoulders. "And it won't happen again...not if you learn to control it." Whatever power she had, Roxas knew that Namine could control it eventually. She just had to work on it, even if it was dangerous.

Namine found herself shaking her head again. You don't get it, Roxas. I may have completely destroyed Xion's heart. This isn't something to be taken so lightly. But she couldn't form the words to make him understand, because she wasn't completely sure herself. If Xion was a puppet like Riku's replica was, did that mean that Namine actually did Xion a favor by crushing her heart? Did this mean the real Xion would return? There was no way for Namine to tell what really happened until Xion woke up, but until she did, the blonde couldn't stand looking at her.
Roxas lifted a hand to brush some of Namine's hair away from her face, his fingers lingering on her cheek. "Nam..." he tried again, his voice nothing more than whisper. Please try to understand... You would have died if you hadn't used it. That power saved her, and she was cursing it.
