Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Namine kept her head lowered, though her eyes shut at Roxas's gentle touch and tone. He didn't understand, but she wouldn't talk anymore about it until she knew for certain what actually happened. Until Xion woke up, she would just have to cope in a way that didn't involve pacing. The pacing seemed to be making Roxas and Riku anxious.
Riku glanced over the couple's way before diverting his gaze again; he never liked to intrude on their privacy. He looked down at Xion, wondering when exactly she would wake up. And since Namine's power managed to change the Riku replica in the past, Riku couldn't help but be curious as to if the same would happen here, with Xion.

"I think I need to go for a walk," Namine said softly after a few moments. That was alright, wasn't it? After all, the person who had been threatening her was right here with Riku and Roxas. And she knew the former wouldn't let Xion out of his sight as long as he perceived her to be a threat. Maybe by the time Namine got back, Xion would be awake.
Roxas blinked at the declaration, but he slowly retreated. He let his hands fall from Namine's form, his eyes remaining on her as he thought about her future. Would she still be hard on herself? What good would a walk do if she just did the same thing in the living room? Roxas knew Namine was stubborn; she would do what she wanted for however long she wished, and that would be the end of it.

Namine lifted her head and looked up at Roxas, knowing he didn't understand. They had a lot of that lately, with Namine running off to Disney Castle to get away from Xion. "The air in here is suffocating," she said quietly when she met his eyes. Of course she wasn't being literal, but the meaning was obvious. Being around Xion and seeing what she did was painful, and it was making her thoughts remain harsh. A change of scenery would do her good.
Roxas nodded slightly, glancing away before his eyes found Namine again. "Right," he agreed weakly. If Namine needed to go for a walk...he guessed he could let her go. Unless... "Do you want me to come with you?" Riku had a hold on things here. Roxas could leave for a bit.

Namine shook her head softly. "I'll be okay on my own for a little while," she assured him softly. She knew he was trying to be sensitive to her needs, but he also needed to realize that she didn't need protection now that Xion was in their watch. Namine would go alone for this walk, just to clear her head. She'd return soon, though, since she didn't want to be apart from Roxas after her near-death experience.
"Mm," Roxas hummed, nodding a little bit. "Come back soon." That was all he really wanted, since he knew Namine would be safe. Xion was here, after all, and Namine wouldn't do anything reckless. As soon as she came back, Roxas would be hers again.

"I will," Namine promised with a weak smile that was supposed to be reassuring. She walked forward, stopping by Roxas only to plant a small kiss on his cheek before she walked to the door. After faintly waving to both the boys, Namine took her leave and headed to the beach. Hopefully there she could find some peace of mind.
Roxas turned slightly, watching Namine go. Once the door shut, he lifted a hand to his head and ran it through his hair, sighing. Well, that went well, he thought sarcastically, gazing at the ground. He really needed to work on being more sensitive, even if he did try just now. It wasn't enough.

It only took Namine a few minutes to go to the beach. It was deserted in this area, probably because it was still winter and it was too cold to go swimming. She wrapped her arms around her waist, looking up at the sky. I did what I had to, she repeated in silence as the waves came closer to the shore. And that's what I'll do again in the future, and now. Now I need to do what Roxas said and learn how to control this, so that if it happens, it'll be because I wanted it to happen.
Having observed the witch for quite a few minutes now, Vexen decided to make himself known. "Ah, the little blonde witch is taking quite a risk," he cooed, appearing a few yards away. A sly smile rested on his lips, his hands linked behind his back. "Such a foolish child."

Namine's eyes widened immediately, the girl turning to face Vexen as her hand found the hilt of the weapon in the bag behind her. "Vexen?" she said in surprise. Obviously it was him, but what was he doing here? Nobody had seen him or the other remaining Organization members since they escaped the night of the ball, or so she thought. What was he doing here?
"You appear surprised to see me," Vexen stated with the same smile, the man amused. "Master Riku and Miss Lightning clearly neglected to tell you all I approached them a short while ago. Of course, they survived my manipulations, but that is besides the point." He took a small step towards the young girl. "You are here, unprotected, and without Number XIII. What ever will you do, Namine?"

Confusion at the mention of Lightning and Riku faded when Vexen took a step closer to her. Namine responded by taking a small step back, keeping a hand on the sword. But she wasn't trembling in fear, despite the fact that she was alone and "without Number XIII." She could defend herself; she didn't need him hovering over her. But still, Vexen's threat was clear. "What do you want?" she asked lowly, hearing Lightning's voice in her head telling her to stay calm.
"It seems Xion has reverted back to her old self," Vexen stated, his smile fading at the truth behind his statement. "As of earlier today, she has become the Xion Roxas once knew." Namine wouldn't be pleased to hear such a thing, for this was the girl that Roxas fell in love with back in the Organization.

Namine felt startled that Vexen would know such a thing; Xion hadn't left their presence since she was knocked unconscious. But how did he also know that she was back to normal? None of them knew that yet. "How do you know?" she asked cautiously, not daring to take her eyes off of him for a second.
"Why, I programmed her into the monster she once was," Vexen revealed, his smile returning out of satisfaction and pride. "The evil girl you had all been dealing with was created by me. And I must say, she did quite a good job for what she was programmed for. I should take pride in my work."

Namine's eyes widened. "You...were responsible, for everything?" she said in shock. But now...Now it made sense. Vexen recreated and programmed Xion, a puppet. That was how Namine could crush her heart. Surely Namine didn't have that power over a normal person, or so she now assumed. Still, there wasn't much time to think about that. Vexen was here...Did that mean he was here to take Xion away?
"Let's skip the part of the conversation where you question me, witch," Vexen insisted, though his tone held bite. "Given your power to crush the poor puppet's heart, I need you to restore it. Immediately." He took another step toward her, his eyes as hard as ice.

Namine's eyes widened, both at the name and the demand. Vexen wasn't here for Xion, he was here for her. "W-why would I want to do that?" she asked as she took a step back. A voice in her head scolded her for the stutter, but nervousness wasn't something that she could prevent now. Vexen was asking her to use her powers to harm somebody. Even if that somebody had Roxas's affection, Namine wouldn't do it.
"'Want' has nothing to do with it," Vexen replied coolly, taking another step forward. The witch was trying to put distance between them, but it wouldn't work for long. "You will, or your life shall end by my hand." Xion needed to be reprogrammed, and Namine was to be the one to do it.

Again, Namine took a step back. "Something tells me that'll happen whether I help or not," she responded with some bite, finding courage in her fear. She pulled out the gunblade, the weapon transforming by her side as her eyes narrowed. The blonde wouldn't help him cause more destruction; there was enough hurt as it was in their lives.
Vexen couldn't help but laugh at the appearance of Namine's weapon. "A weapon of such destruction does not belong to a girl whose courage neglects to mask her fear," he said, his laughter dying down. "Only a soldier who has faced many hardships shall wield a weapon like that. I believe Lightning has made a mistake in handing it off to you, such a vulnerable, heartbroken witch."

"Well then," Namine responded lowly, tightening her grasp on the hilt. "I'll just have to prove you wrong, then, won't I?" Roxas's words of tutoring reentered her mind. "Enemies always try to get to you so that you fight recklessly. Don't let their taunts affect you." She made a vow at that moment that she wouldn't let Roxas or anybody else down. She'd fight bravely.
