Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Hmph," Light hummed with a smirk that held some bitterness along with pride. "Of course I did." Xigbar was the one who would have lost the fight if he had actually stuck around to see it through. Of course he tried to fight dirty, but Light wasn't a fool to his tactics. He even held a gun right to her head when he arrived to try and get her to come with him quietly, but that failed catastrophically.
Riku smiled crookedly, continuing to wipe off the blood that covered Light's skin. "How am I not surprised?" he asked softly. Of course Lightning would; anyone that messed with her was dead meat. He knew that from past experiences, but in the end, he was different. At least to her. She'd told him that before, when they had their deep conversations. He wasn't ashamed of it; it was something he liked to hear--that he was different, and that Light appreciated it. It made Riku feel loved.

"Gee, I wonder," Light said sarcastically, though her smile turned less bitter at Riku's comment. Of course he wasn't surprised that she showed Xigbar exactly who he was dealing with; she wasn't one to humor villains. Anyone who thought that they could take her down so easily was mistaken.
Riku's crooked smile remained as he bent down slightly, turning the cloth in his hand so he could use the clean side to get more of the blood. He was a little surprised at how much there was, but at the same time, he wasn't. Xigbar had dealt the wound, which said enough. Riku was just glad Lightning was okay.

Light moved her hand off Riku's, instead setting it lightly on top of his head when he bent down. "You don't have to fuss over it, goof," she said gently and teasingly at the same time. "I could do it." Though he was smiling now, she could tell he was irked that Xigbar showed up and he didn't know it.
Riku glanced up at Lightning, but only briefly as he tended to cleaning her up. "I know," he said softly. But still... His senses were clouded lately, and he didn't know why. It bugged him a little, actually, since it wasn't normal. He supposed he needed more sleep, but at this point, it didn't matter. The damage was already done and the fights were over. For now at least.

"Relax," Light advised, lightly ruffling his silver hair. "Everything's fine." They were all alive and unhurt. Vexen was dead and now Xigbar wouldn't come around again since he had been assisting the former. Zexion's goal probably was less personal since Lightning didn't know if he had a vendetta against anyone in the group, and Larxene...Well, she could be handled.
The light ruffling of his hair caused Riku to nearly close his eyes, finding it to be both a relaxing and affectionate gesture. He wiped the last of the blood from Lightning's smooth skin before he leaned forward, placing a small kiss to where the wound used to be. Even if you're strong enough to defend yourself, I still want to be the one to protect you.

Lightning kept her hand on Riku's head, her eyes also following his movements. The kiss made her heart jump, as all Riku's kisses did. That was how she knew that the love they had for each other would never die. They started off as enemies and became lovers. She never would have believed it was possible, but that was how things turned out. She was softer than she was at the start of this, but that wasn't weakness. If anything, the ability to let people in was a sign of strength.
Riku pulled back after a second, looking up at Lightning before he straightened. He set the cloth in the sink only a foot from him, though his eyes stayed on the woman he loved. If anything had happened to her...he would never let himself forget it. He had been nervous when she wasn't around moments ago, but what if she never turned up? Riku would have been devastated.

Lightning's hand moved from the top of Riku's head to his cheek, her other hand also coming up and sitting on the opposite one as she locked eyes with him. "Relax," she whispered again, leaning up and giving him a small kiss on the lips before hovering in front of him. Everything was okay; there was no need for him to beat himself up.
Riku closed his eyes at the small kiss, and they stayed that way as he sighed. "You don't know how nervous I was," he admitted, almost in shame. Riku was hardly ever nervous, about anything...until Light came. He never cared for someone as much as he cared for her. Sometimes it scared him, but most of the time, he cherished it. How couldn't he, when he had someone so amazing right in front of him? But then again, Riku couldn't imagine losing her. It scared him.

"It's over now," Light said, shutting her eyes as her hands remained on Riku's cheeks. She knew he was nervous; that had been on his facial expression as soon as she arrived on the scene. She wished that she hadn't worried him to much, but at least she knew Riku's worry wasn't because she couldn't protect herself. He just naturally worried because he cared; it had nothing to do with how strong she was or wasn't.
Riku took in a breath before releasing it, absorbing the feeling of Lightning's hands on his cheeks. He felt it just last night, sure, but it felt like forever ago. How long had it been since they truly had an intimate moment, like the many they had up on the mountain and in the cabin. He wished he could go back to that time, but he would just have to recreate those memories in the future. He was sure Light wouldn't mind.

Lightning could tell Riku wasn't relaxing, but she didn't know what else to do. One of her hands dropped from his cheek, sitting on his chest instead. Her fingertips were right against his beating heart, a position they often found. Any reminder she had that Riku was alive was a happy thing for her. She wanted him in her life forever.
Riku lifted a hand to the one that was now on his chest, the young man covering it with his own. "Listen," he muttered lowly. "I know you can take care of yourself, but...I'll always protect you." He opened his eyes to look at the woman he loved, his eyes sincere. "You know that, Light. Right?"

Light opened her eyes, her blue orbs locking onto Riku's aqua ones. "Of course I know that," she responded quietly, her thumb briefly running over Riku's cheek. She knew that Riku would always have her back. But she also knew that he would do something stupid if he thought it meant saving her. However, she couldn't criticize that, because she would do the same for him.
Riku gazed at Lightning in silence, just looking at her. After a moment, he leaned forward and connected his lips with hers in a brief kiss. He pulled back shortly after, though, knowing that they didn't have time to stand here anymore. Xigbar had stolen their time from them, unfortunately.

Lightning's eyes shut briefly at the kiss, her hand moving off Riku's cheek and into his hair. She knew what he was thinking, because she was thinking it as well. But...Couldn't they linger for just a minute longer? Xigbar wouldn't be foolish enough to return right away. They had a little bit of time they could spare.
Riku's eyes, which had fallen closed at the kiss, stayed that way when he felt the hand in his hair. He never forgot the nights when Lightning would tiredly run her hands through his hair, which would involuntarily make him fall asleep first. Regardless of that, he loved the feeling. It made him just want to rest with her again and forget the world and its problems.

"It is getting late," Light whispered softly without moving. "...Think Xigbar can wait until tomorrow?" She believed he would just have to be patient and wait until Lightning and Riku showed up at his doorstep to take him down. Until then, they would keep living their new lives where the threats weren't nearly as bad as they used to be.
It didn't take long for Riku to come up with an answer. "Yeah," he mumbled lowly. Xigbar would just have to wait another day; right now, Riku needed Lightning, even if she didn't need him. For once in the last week or so, Riku was going to be soft, like he first was when he realized his feelings for Lighting; like he was any time intimacy came into their lives. It was just something he needed.

Light smiled softly, feeling irresponsible but not caring too much. She leaned up and gave Riku another kiss on the lips before she pulled back. She took her hands back and took a step towards the fridge, knowing that it was dinner time. Though Riku was a good cook, she planned on making something unless he said otherwise.
Riku opened his eyes to look at Lightning, though she was already at the fridge when he located her. He smiled slightly to himself before glancing away, wondering how he got so lucky. He once thought he could never love or be loved in return, but he was wrong.

"You'll have to deal with eggs," Light declared, pulling out the egg carton, milk, and shredded cheese. She set them on the counter behind her before she bent down and opened a drawer, seeing bacon and ham they could add to omelets. Works for me, she thought silently, pulling those out as well.
