Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Aqua nodded to what Master Yen Sid just told her, him repeating the final verdict. They'd reached a decision, and now, it was time to reveal the news to Terra and Riku. She turned to walk out, exhaling a big breath.

Master Yen Sid started walking out as well, knowing that Terra and Riku would still be in that room. He would deliver the verdict so Aqua wouldn't have to, since she was connected to these two more deeply than he was.

Riku was pacing, awaiting the verdict. But when he caught movement out of the corner of his eye, he looked in that direction, first seeing Aqua, then Yen Sid. He lowered his arms to his sides and looked to Terra. It was time.

Terra looked up when he felt Riku's gaze on him, and his arms came unfolded as he turned his head towards the sound of footsteps. Aqua and Master Yen Sid. He kept his eyes on them, feeling anxious on the inside but remaining composed outwardly.
Riku's hands folded into loose fists as he looked toward Master Yen Sid and Aqua, and he started in their direction. As he approached, he fought against his nerves and racing heart. If he didn't get it, he could always try again, when the next exam was held. Besides, an exam didn't truly define him; he had the Keyblade for a reason.

Master Yen Sid watched Riku start over, Terra doing the same. He stopped beside Aqua and kept his gaze on them, knowing that both of them must have been anxious for the results. But only one of them would become a Master today. As for the other...well, they would find out soon enough.

Aqua looked at both boys, her eyes lingering on Riku once he stopped in front of her and Master Yen Sid. Of course, she didn't hesitate looking back at her best friend. They both did tremendously today, but only one would actually become Master. That was a hard decision to make, but it had to be done.

Master Yen Sid looked over the two people in front of him, seeing Terra standing at attention. "We have reached a decision," he said. "Both of you showed excellent skill in battle, but surely you both know that it is the strength of one's heart that truly makes them a Master."

Riku heard the words and understood them completely, not at all doubting them. He'd had enough proof in the past. Regardless, he stood to attention, the boy continuing to listen to hear what Master Yen Sid had to say.

"No one can deny that you both have strong hearts," Master Yen Sid said then, continuing. "But the title of being a Master means even more than that. A Master must have the qualities of a leader. They must be able to lead others with confidence and wisdom." He paused slightly, looking over both of the men in front of him. "With this in mind, I only saw one of you that displays all the qualities of a Master."

Riku's fists curled in tighter at the last part, but he still stood to attention. Only one of them was becoming Master?! That...was awful. He was hoping that they would both get it, but that would be too good to be true...wouldn't it?

"Riku, we have decided that you have the qualities of a Master," Master Yen Sid said, nodding to acknowledge Riku when he spoke. "Terra, while you have great skill, you do not display the qualities of a leader, and that disqualifies you from becoming a Master right now."

Terra nodded slightly, though his eyebrows were furrowed a little bit as he remained composed. He...Wasn't a Master. But Riku was. His successor had passed the test, and he was proud of him. He had to focus on that for now.

Riku blinked, his eyes widening slightly. He was a...a Master? But...I thought Terra would get it...he thought, in a little bit of shock. However, he composed himself, nodding to Master Yen Sid and Aqua in acceptance of his new title.

"You don't seem disappointed," Master Yen Sid, looking over at Terra. He was a bit surprised; Aqua had informed him that Terra's dream was to become a Keyblade Master. But he seemed to be handling this news pretty well.

"Master...I know my role as Keyblade wielder," Terra said, covering his disappointment with an explanation. "All my life, I thought I dreamed of being a Master. But now I know that all I want is to do good. And I won't let a title keep me from fulfilling my real dream."

Ven felt himself smile weakly, proud of Terra. He was right; a title wouldn't stop him from helping others and going good with the Keyblade. And he was glad that Terra was able to admit that even now, when he just found out that he wasn't a Master.

Aqua heard Terra's words, and they instantly brought a warm smile out of her. He'd grown with wisdom, after everything with Xehanort. And he was right; he didn't need to be a Master to do good with what power he had. Aqua's eyes were locked on her best friend, proud of him.

Terra saw Aqua smiling out of the corner of his eye, and he glanced over at her and offered her a soft smile. But then he looked back over at Master Yen Sid. "I know now that a title doesn't define me. And it never will, even if I do become a Master."

"That answer pleases me," Master Yen Sid said with a soft nod. "And though you may not be a Master, Aqua and I found it fitting to give you a title that describes your valor and strength as a Keyblade wielder." The man took a step forward, setting a hand on Terra's shoulder. "You fight for your friends, and to protect what is right. You fight for the good of others and have put your selfish desires behind you. You are a Keyblade Knight."

Aqua could only keep smiling as she looked at Terra, listening as Master Yen Sid dubbed him Keyblade Knight. It was a new position, but it was fitting and appropriate. That was why they decided on it.

Riku looked at Master Yen Sid and Terra, and he too had a very faint smile on his lips. After what Terra just said, Riku looked up to him even more. He knew the meaning of wielding the Keyblade, and that was important.

Terra felt honored at the title, and when Master Yen Sid took a step back and removed his hand from his shoulder, Terra showed his gratitude. "Thank you, Master," he said, bowing slightly before he stood at attention again. This was such an honor...He hadn't expected this. At all.
Roxas could only watch from the sidelines, but he was happy and excited for both Terra and Riku. Terra was Keyblade Knight, and Riku was Keyblade Master. This was great!

Master Yen Sid nodded in regards to Terra's gratitude, but then he turned to the newest Keyblade Master. "Riku, please come with us," he said, referring to himself and Master Aqua. "As a Keyblade Master, there is certain knowledge that you are entitled to know."

Riku's eyes focused on Master Yen Sid and he nodded. "Yes, sir," he said, then looking to Aqua. He caught her wink at him before she started to walk away, which caused him to smile a little. But even if Riku was ecstatic that he was Keyblade Master, he could only think of his friends and what great news he had for them.

Master Yen Sid started walking as well, trusting that Riku would follow. Once this business was taken care of, then all of the Keyblade wielders would be permitted to leave. It wouldn't take long for them to talk to Riku anyway, so he knew that the others would wait for their friend to return.

Riku followed after Master Yen Sid and Aqua, but he passed Terra as he did. He nodded to the man who crowned him his successor, a small smile on his face. Nobody lost today, and that was all Riku really wanted.

Terra nodded faintly to Riku, smiling a soft smile at him. He was so proud of him. Riku was his successor, and that meant that Terra had faith in him from the very start that he would do great things. And Riku kept proving to him that he made the right decision with making him his successor.
Riku turned his head forward after seeing Terra's expression, silently following Master Yen Sid and Aqua into the next room. He wasn't sure what information he would be given, but he was prepared to hear it.
