Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"I don't expect forgiveness," Xion said in response to Roxas's hum. "I know what I did was too terrible." The thoughts of her actions made her eyes grow moist. She had been horrid. No amount of groveling or anything else could make up for the times that she attacked Namine, mistreated her, terrified her in her own home...Xion was a monster.
"It was....but you weren't yourself," Roxas tried, his voice gentle in the quiet kitchen. "We all know that. That's why you have a chance at redemption." Xion may not have known it until then, but she did. Roxas was willing to give her that chance, and he was sure the others would with a little persuasion. She wasn't herself when she did those nasty things. The girl sitting beside him--this was the Xion Roxas knew. Everyone had to get to know her before making harsh judgements.

"I appreciate it," Xion said softly. "I'll try not to let you down again." She didn't look up at Roxas when she spoke, this subject a touchy one. All she wanted to do was run away from this reality, but she couldn't. The best idea that she had was to follow Namine's example and sleep for a little while to escape it. Maybe that was what she would do. She just hoped Namine didn't mind her staying the night in her home after everything.
Roxas nodded a little, humming slightly. He felt like this conversation was coming to an end, and honestly, he didn't know what he was going to do now. If Xion wanted to go, she could, but not far. He promised Riku he would watch over her for a little while. Xion would stay here, he guessed, since Roxas was going to be with Namine, even while she slept.

No, no running away, Xion decided. "Can I borrow a piece of paper and a pen?" she asked Roxas softly. "I want to write Namine a note. That way, she can come find me later if she even wants to look at my face and talk." Xion wasn't doing this to be cowardly, not really. She was just trying to be careful with Namine, even if the blonde was very strong.
  • 3 weeks later...
Roxas turned his head to glance at Xion, eyebrows furrowing slightly at the request. "Uh...yeah," he said then, pushing himself off the stool and making his way around the counter to find the cupboard where Namine kept a small notebook and pen. He wasn't sure what a note would do, but Xion could try it. He was sure Namine would appreciate the thought, at least.

Xion shifted her gaze to the counter in silence, her thoughts consuming her. She had to find some way to set things right. Maybe a part of it was for her own sake (though she didn't deserve it), but she mainly wanted Namine and Roxas to be happy again. The two of them deserved all the happiness in the world.
Roxas grabbed the notebook and pen, standing across the counter from Xion. He then slid the notebook across with his hand, holding out the pen to her. "Here," he said softly, gazing at it before his eyes found her. Whatever she was going to say, he hoped she said it nicely. Namine couldn't take much more.

"Thanks," Xion said quietly, accepting the pen. Though she had many things to say, she couldn't make herself bring the pen down to the paper right away. She had to find a way to make this coherent. And it had to be at least a decent apology. None would be good enough in Xion's eyes, but she had to try her best for the sake of those around her. Those that she hurt.
"I'll...leave you to it," Roxas said softly, nodding slightly. He would give Xion some privacy with this. He made his way around the counter again, starting back for the living room. He would sit by Namine, who was still resting on the couch. All he wanted was to be next to her, and he would be sure things stayed that way. Forever.

Xion nodded faintly as well, glancing up at Roxas as he left the room. She silently wished for his forgiveness, but she knew that she wouldn't receive it. There was no hope for redemption, was there? Sighing a soft breath, she looked back down at the paper and began piecing her thoughts together.

One week later

Riku turned his head, watching as Roxas dove into the sand for the volleyball. He managed to pop it up, sending it right toward the net with a high enough arch for Riku to take it for his own. "Got it!" he called, running and leaping into the air before smacking the ball over the net full-force. He landed back on his feet, still into the game. The match between him, Roxas, Sora, and Ven had been going on for some time, and they weren't about to let up. The last week had gone slowly for some of them, especially Riku. He was constantly thinking about Xion or Namine, or both at the same time. It was hard to discard either of them from his thoughts after what happened recently. He was sure Roxas was the same.

Sora dove for the ball and managed to knock it over the net on his own, though it was purely luck in this case. Riku was good at sending the ball to difficult spots to cover. It was amazing how focused he and Roxas seemed to be, especially with all that happened lately. Xion was closest to them so he figured he and Ven might have a chance to win if they were distracted. Apparently they still didn't have a chance. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Kairi sitting by the sidelines. Namine was supposed to be coming soon, and Xion...well, she was somewhere on the Islands. She didn't seem to like being around the group too much just because of her guilt.
Roxas side-stepped and bumped the ball, passing it right to Riku, who set it up for him. The blond managed to get under it before smacking it from the middle of the court; he at least had enough strength for that these days. Once he saw it go over, he risked a glance to his right, though he was disappointed to see only Kairi sitting there. Wasn't Namine supposed to be there by now?

Namine approached the scene just in time to see Sora miss the ball. Aw, bummer, she thought for Sora's sake. But she was also glad because that meant Roxas and Riku scored. The blonde tucked back a strand of blonde hair as she approached her friend by the sidelines, sitting down beside her. "Hey," she greeted with a faint nod and smile.
Kairi looked up from her spot on her beach towel, smiling. "Hey," she greeted enthusiastically. She hadn't seen Namine much this last week, since the blonde had been with Roxas so much. "Good thing you got here. Roxas has been looking for you after each play." She turned her head, and as if on cue, Roxas looked over to where the two girls were.

Namine smiled sheepishly, lifting a hand and waving to Roxas from her spot. "That's no surprise," she said to Kairi, though her blue eyes remained on her boyfriend. "I just finished up a doodle I was working on. It took a little longer than expected." Finally, Namine was returning to her usual self and had the ability to draw again. She wasn't just returning to normal, though; she was stronger than before. More certain of herself.

Roxas couldn't help but smile at the wave, his eyes stuck on Namine before he had to look away to catch the volleyball. It was his turn to serve. He backed up and tossed the ball up into the air before doing a jump-serve, sending the object flying over the net and to the other court.

"I'm sure Roxas understands," Kairi commented gently, her smile fading as she watched the ball get passed back and forth. She was keeping score, and so far Riku and Roxas were winning, though Sora and Ventus were only a few points behind.

  • Author
"Yeah," Namine agreed with a nod, seeing Sora and Ven work together to get the ball back over the net. These days, there wasn't danger hanging over them. Xion was now a friend (well, in her eyes) and not an enemy. Everyone else was still not treating her normal, but Namine found a way to look past her sins. She just hoped that her friends could do the same.
Kairi watched the ball get sent back and forth, hearing grunts and cries from the boys with each pass or spike. She watched as Riku tipped it over the net, and she hoped Sora hit it before it touched the ground. "C'mon, Sora!" she cried in encouragement. She knew his speed, he could get it.
  • Author
Sora dove for the ball, but when he hit it, it bounced out of bounds before Ven could even get to it. He groaned, shaking his head as he placed it in the sand. That was the game; he and Ven just lost to Riku and Roxas. Why was it those two made such a good team when they used to be enemies? It was ironic.
Riku smiled, releasing a small "hmph" as Roxas threw a fist into the air behind him. He turned to look at his partner, nodding to him. "Good work," he called in satisfaction. Roxas nodded to him in thanks, transferring the same compliment himself. Riku's small smile remained as he turned his attention back to Sora, his body glistening with sweat from both the match and the heat. Thank goodness he was wearing his swimtrunks. "That's game, Sora," he said, also looking to Ventus. They tried, but at least Ven wasn't being a poor sport.
  • Author
"Yeah, I noticed," Sora said as he lifted his now-sandy face out of the sand. The sand was sticking to some parts of his face, since he was sweaty. It wasn't summer yet, but the weather was so warm that he was feeling hot. He smirked slightly at Riku to show that he wasn't being a bad sport as he started rising to his feet. "Good game, guys."
"Thanks," Roxas called, smiling slightly as he started off the court. Namine was here, so of course he was going to go see her. But Xion...He wasn't sure where she was. He hadn't seen her much lately. Hopefully she was doing alright.

Namine pushed herself up from her spot, dusting herself off when she noticed that Roxas was coming towards her. She smiled faintly at him again as she clasped her hands behind her back casually. This was the first time she was seeing him today, but it felt like a while since the two of them were hardly apart these days.
