Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Roxas turned his head away from Sora and Riku, the latter starting up a conversation just then. His eyes located the blonde beauty he loved, his eyes instantly lighting up. "Hey, baby," he greeted, stopping in front of her and placing a light kiss on her cheek. She missed the game, but that was okay. As long as Namine was here.

"Hey," Namine responded with a smile, her eyes shining as well as she unclasped her hands and set them on Roxas's lower arms as she stood right in front of him. "Nice win," she couldn't help but say. She missed some of the game, but from what she saw, he did well. Riku too, obviously. The two of them were a good team.

"Thanks," Roxas said with the same smile. "We were close, I think. What was the score?" He turned his head to look at Kairi, seeing her flip through the notebook on her lap to the tally marks.

"21-18, you and Riku," Kairi replied with a small nod. "Very close." Sora didn't seem too disappointed, and neither did Ventus. That was good, since she knew how competitive they could both get.

"They only won because I threw the game," Sora joked, sending a wink Ven's way. "It was too hot to keep going." And he hadn't eaten for a few hours, so he was pretty hungry. But of course, he didn't really throw the game; Riku and Roxas beat him and Ven fair and square. Next time, things would work out in Sora's favor.
"Wuss!" Roxas called with a smirk, taking in the coolness of Namine's hands on his forearms. If Sora was such a victim to the heat, he could stick to being a fish. He always did love the water, from what Roxas knew. Surfing could be his thing, but he doubted any of them would enjoy that as much as a good game of volleyball.

"Hey man, you probably don't wanna insult me!" Sora said with a smirk as he approached the blondes and his girlfriend. "I know where you live." Of course, he was being goofy, because he and Roxas lived in the same house. For now. Once he and Kairi were married, he'd move out and Roxas would be an only child.
"Would both of you knock it off?" Riku called, still standing next to the net. He just texted Lightning, asking what she was up to, since she was with Serah for the day. Riku's aqua eyes located the blond and brunet, the look on his face saying enough: You're both ridiculous.

As Lightning sat on the Paopu tree out at the Island, she felt the phone in her pocket vibrate. Opening it, she saw that it was Riku. Either he forgot that Serah was here for part of the day or he was asking if she was gone yet. "Serah just left. On Island," she sent back. Snow had come and picked her up on his bike a little while ago, which was able to travel to different worlds. It was sad they were gone, but she'd deal.

"What, we're not aloud to be goofy?" Sora asked with an arched brow. "You know you wanna get dragged into the fun too. You're just jealous, Riku." He smirked slightly, hoping that Riku was distracted enough not to throw him in the ocean for that comment.

Riku had opened his phone and read his text by the time Sora spoke, and when he heard his name at the end of the speech, he looked up. "What?" he asked, confused. It wasn't often he didn't pay attention, but it was Lightning he was occupied with. It made sense.

"Nothing," Sora said quickly with a small smirk. He shifted his gaze to Kairi. "Kai, you ready to go?" They had plans for how they were going to spend the rest of their afternoon, so it was probably best to go now before Riku decided to throw him in the water. It was hot, but it wasn't that hot.
"Mm-hm," Kairi hummed. She placed her notebook in her beach bag and then stood up. Turning, she grabbed her beach chair and waterbottle. She and Sora had some special plans, just for the two of them. While they had the rest of their lives to be together, they couldn't get enough. It was just who they were as a couple.

Sora gently took the chair out of Kairi's grasp so that he could carry it before he turned to the rest of his friends. "Okay, see you guys later!" he said, waving with his free hand before he and Kairi left the scene. He knew Roxas and Namine had plans for the rest of the day too, and Ven was probably going to go hang out with Terra and Ven. That meant Riku was probably going with Lightning.
While Roxas called goodbye, Riku lifted a hand in a small wave, glancing up at his friends before returning a text message to Lightning. He informed her that he would be at the Island momentarily, but he had to grab his things first. He had something special in mind, but he wasn't sure how to go about it.

A little while later, Lightning was no longer sitting on the tree. Instead, she was standing and leaning against the base of it. In front of her, she horizontally held her sword. Her blue eyes just gazed at it in seriousness. This sword was given to me by Etro, she thought to herself. It's a sign that I have a destiny connected with Cocoon or Gran Pulse. But there was a problem with that. She wanted her destiny to be with Riku, and it most likely wouldn't be if she was called to another quest on her old home. You're going to pull me away from the one I love, aren't you? she thought solemnly to the sword. The silence made her want to shiver.
Riku used his glider to transport himself to the island across the water, and once he was close enough, he hopped off of it and fell to the ground. He landed smoothly on his feet, crouching slightly before straightening. His eyes darted around for the sign of his beloved, but that was when he caught a glare coming from the Paopu tree. He squinted, confused. But then he realized it was Lightning holding her sword, which was reflecting the sun. What's she doing?
  • Author
Lightning thought she saw movement out of the corner of her eye, but she assumed it was a bird, so she remained immersed in her thoughts. Someday, I'll go back and face this, she decided. She couldn't stay away from Pulse and her family because of fear for her destiny. She'd face it...Just not today. The soldier tossed her sword up into the air casually, allowing it to vanish in midair. When it was gone, she looked out at the ocean in front of her instead. It was time for some different, happier thoughts.
Riku still wore his swimtrunks, so he approached the islet from below, walking through the water slightly until he could see Lightning clearly. "What're you doing?" he called up. Lone-wolf, as usual. Lightning was by herself again, but for how long? And why did she have her sword a second ago?
  • Author
Lightning shifted her gaze to the boy in the water, figuring that he saw her holding her sword a second ago. But she didn't want to answer any questions concerning her sword, so she didn't say anything about it. "Nothing," she said with a small shrug. "Just standing. Waiting 'cause somebody promised they'd show up." Of course, she was referring to Riku now, who obviously arrived.
Riku couldn't help but smirk. "Is that so?" he checked, wading through the water to reach the ladder close by. "Somebody stood you up? Hard to believe, somebody as stubborn as you." She wouldn't tell him what was up, so he would take the bait and play along.
  • Author
"Stubborn?" Lightning repeated with an arched brow. "I think 'threatening' might be a better word. That person will seriously pay if they ever stand me up." Riku actually did stand her up in the past, but he couldn't help it. He had been grounded and allowed to leave the house. She wasn't about to hold that situation against him.
Riku climbed the ladder and stepped onto the smaller island, his eyes locating the woman he loved. "They must not find you that threatening," he reasoned. "Maybe they actually find that feature...attractive." He smiled crookedly, clearly flirting. He found Lightning's personality quite attractive, indeed. How couldn't he, when he was nearly the same way?
  • Author
"I must be getting soft," Lightning joked with the faintest smirk, her eyes on Riku now as he stood on the Island. She guessed he didn't come right from the game; he wasn't just wearing swim trunks anymore and he looked more cleaned up than he would have if he rushed over. She appreciated it, since he didn't smell like sweat now. In fact, was he wearing cologne?
Riku slowly approached Lightning, his sneakers touching the soft sand with every step. "Maybe a smidge," he said with the same crooked smile. But it was okay. She was still the Lightning he fell in love with; the woman he wanted to be with forever, if she gave him the chance.
  • Author
"Guess it's not the worst thing in the world," Lightning said aloud as she ignored her thoughts about her destiny and fighting a hard battle. If that was her destiny, then getting soft was serious. But she wasn't going to bring that up, not when she and Riku were having a lighthearted moment. She'd cover her worry for now.
Riku took a few more steps as he tilted his head to the side, his aqua eyes staying on Lightning. He cleaned up for her, now in a white v-neck tee and wearing some cologne. Doing that alone proved he, too, was turning soft. "No, it's not," he said with a shake of his head. "Especially when I'm walking the same path." Sora always poked fun at Riku because he was soft with Lightning, but Riku didn't care. He loved her. She was worth it.
