Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Lightning hmphed, no longer leaning on the tree as Riku now stood right in front of her. "Big softy," she joked, lifting a finger and lightly poking his abs. He was like her before, tough and stoic. She liked to believe that both of them changed for the better. And they would continue changing for the better as long as they had each other. Hopefully they would have each other forever.
Riku jerked back slightly, a soft chuckle leaving him at the poke. Light knew he was ticklish, so that wasn't fair. He leaned forward quickly and wrapped his arms around her, trapping her. "None of that," he whispered in her ear, amusement in his tone, as well as playful threats. She would get hers if she kept this up.

Light smiled faintly, shaking her head as she wrapped her arms around Riku's lower back. "Fine," she said simply. She leaned her head against his shoulder, her cheek on it as she faced his neck. "None of that." She liked having a real hug anyway, since she was sad about Serah leaving. And other things.
Riku closed his eyes when Lightning's arms encircled him, and he simply exhaled a breath in relaxation. He was a little worn out from the volleyball match, hence the "little". It couldn't tire him out completely, not since he experienced more than just what happened on this island. Regardless, he allowed himself to hold Lightning and take in the nice weather, today being a perfect day. For multiple things.

Lightning shut her eyes as the wind shifted and gently shifted both her own hair and Riku's. Though his silver hair was shorter, she felt the tips of it against her forehead and smiled weakly. Being in his arms was something that she would never grow tired of.
"How was your day?" Riku asked softly, not wanting to disturb the peace that fell upon him and Lightning. She spent the day with Serah, and he was curious as to how that went, since the two siblings were so close. It had been a while since Riku saw Serah anyway; he wondered how she was doing.

"Good," Lightning said quietly. "It went by too quick." She wished that Serah could have stayed for a week, or forever, but Gran Pulse was her home now. She had a life there as a history teacher in the town of New Bodhum. The way her face lit up when she talked about the children...It assured her that Serah was truly happy there. And by how Light's face lit up when she talked about Riku, Serah knew the same for her.
Riku ran a hand up Lightning's back slowly, holding her a little more tightly at the tone in her voice. "That's too bad," he responded gently. He could tell Lightning missed Serah, and a part of him knew she would be happy with her family. But another part of Riku realized Lightning was happier here, with him.

"She's happy, though," Light said softly, realizing Riku was sad for her. "And I am too." Even if they were apart, at least they were happy. And alive. They were both following their own dreams, even if those dreams weren't originally what they had in mind for themselves. Fate was a funny thing.
Riku continued to run his hand over Lightning's back, nodding ever so slightly. "I guess that's what matters most," he commented, another gentle wind shifting his hair into his eyes. He closed them, taking in the feel of the woman in his arms. He nearly lost her multiple times. He wasn't sure where he would be if she was gone.

"Guess so," Lightning agreed. After a few moments, she pulled back a little to look at Riku's face. "How was your day?" She knew he had planned on hanging out with their friends earlier, though she didn't know what they were up to. Probably something athletic, since they all had so much energy.
Riku moved his hands to sit on Lightning's upper arms, his eyes finding hers. "Good. Roxas and I killed Sora and Ven in volleyball today," he claimed with a smirk. Well, they didn't really kill them, since they only won by three points. But it was good enough.

Lightning found herself smirking as her sadness faded. "That's my boy," she said proudly, lifting a fist and lightly placing it against Riku's stomach. She would have been right there beside him playing the game if Serah hadn't been here; she was always up for sports and other events that would keep her fit.
Riku couldn't help but lift an eyebrow. "Boy?" he repeated, giving Lightning a look. "I think you mean man." His smirk was still present, clearly signifying that this was playful banter. Ever since Xehanort's threats disappeared, Riku and Lightning had been able to have these moments more often. Of course, some things still got in the way to keep them from it, but when it did happen, it was nice.

Light rolled her eyes, pressing her fist into her boyfriend's stomach. "My apologies, man," she said, her tone faking mockery. Riku was technically an adult and not a boy, though; he was nearly twenty years old. But age was never a big issue from her stance. He was younger than her, but mature enough that it didn't matter.
Riku couldn't help but laugh softly. "That's better," he commented, not affected by Lightning's fist applying pressure to his stomach. He had been working out lately, so of course it didn't hurt. She should have known that, since she'd seen him shirtless more times than he could count.

Light hmphed, leaning her face up closer to Riku's. "That cockiness is going to get you in trouble, man," she said with a faint smirk, her eyes locked onto his. Riku had a bit of an ego, but most guys did. At least the ones Light interacted with. She had little patience for those with little self-esteem.
"Or really, woman?" Riku retorted lowly, his smirk matching Lightning's. He saw her face come closer to his, and in return he moved his slightly toward her as well. Their noses were close to touching. He wasn't sure what Lightning would do about his cockiness. He knew she preferred that over insecurity.

"Yes, really," Lightning responded lowly with a smirk still on her face. She leaned her head even closer and pressed her forehead against Riku's as she enjoyed this playful taunting. She didn't know how to handle Riku's cockiness sometimes, but his ego wasn't that overly elevated. Not compared to other people that she met. So, she'd let him slide by with how he was for now.
"I don't think you'll do anything too rash," Riku commented, his voice nothing above a murmur because he and Lightning were so close. Being like this with her made him love her even more. In the past, girls gushed over him because he was "mysterious" and had an ego and muscles. But Lightning was different.

"Oh really?" Light responded tauntingly. "You must be forgetting who you're dealing with. I'm the queen of ambushes." She recalled when she and Riku had a playful fight and he tried throwing her over his shoulder, but she stopped him from accomplishing that. She was good at throwing out surprises, though she didn't like receiving them.
Riku lifted an eyebrow at that, his smirk turning more into a crooked smile. "Did I say I don't think you will? Because I meant I don't want you to," he rephrased, trying to save his skin, and the moment. He didn't want Lightning throwing him over her shoulder or knocking him upside the head. He just wanted to be with her like this, even if it was only for a little bit longer.

"Mhm," Light hummed with disbelief. She kept one fist against Riku's stomach as she lifted her other hand, lightly grasping the back of his neck with her fingertips. She was in a position where she could do anything, but she wasn't going to. Physically abusing Riku wasn't something that she enjoyed doing; she loved him too much to enjoy tormenting him like that.
Riku blinked at the change of position, though he didn't do anything more than that. His eyes only stayed locked onto Lightning's, wondering what she was going to do. He was serious about what he said; as much as he loved goofing off with her, he had something more intimate in mind. His hands rested on her waist now, waiting to see what she would do.

At Riku's confused expression, Light felt herself smiling. "Goof," she whispered. She shut her eyes and gently leaned forward, connecting her lips to Riku's. This was what she had in mind as soon as she brought her face closer to his, not doing something violent like headbutting him. The air was too romantic for her to consider ruining it.
