Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku's eyes naturally fell closed, his heart rate picking up for a short second at the kiss. Of course, he would never admit to that; it would mean he really was turning soft. For Lightning, he didn't think that would be so bad. She was different than anyone else he'd met before, and that was something special to him.

Lightning pulled back from the kiss after a few moments, her blue eyes opening again to see Riku's face before her. She didn't bother speaking, only holding the position that she was in. They were in close proximity, physically and emotionally. It felt good to be so connected with somebody.
Riku kept his eyes closed, his grip on Lightning's waist having tightened slightly with the intimate gesture. He released a small breath as he felt Lightning's eyes on him, and he just took in the sensation. Hopefully, those eyes would be on him for the rest of his life; he loved her, which was why he wanted to share something special with her. Today. "There's something I've been meaning to do with you, for a while," he said quietly, speaking over the gentle waves.

"What's that?" Light asked softly, her eyes now the curious ones. Whatever Riku was referring to, he hadn't brought it up before. She would have remembered if he had implied anything in the past if it was such an important topic. She didn't wonder for long, though, since he would fill her in soon enough.
Riku didn't open his eyes, actually nervous for once in his life. It didn't happen often, but when it did, he wasn't sure what to do. So he did what felt right, and that was leaning forward to give Lightning another kiss, his grasp still secure on her waist. He pulled back from it after a short moment, eyebrows furrowed and eyes still closed in uncertainty. You can do this.

Light's eyes fell shut at the second kiss, but reopened when it was over. That was when she saw Riku's uncertain expression. It's not like him to get nervous, she thought as she silent studied him. Whatever this was, he had been dwelling on it for a while and he was still having difficulty bringing it up. What was on his mind?
Riku opened his eyes, meeting Lightning's curious gaze. He didn't look for long, though, releasing her as he stepped back slightly. His gaze drifted to the tree behind her, to the star-shaped fruit hanging near the palm leaves. Riku silently stepped past Lightning and hopped onto the base of the tree, stepping along it and reaching for the Paopu fruit. It was time he and Lightning became a part of each other's hearts, forever.

Light trailed Riku with her eyes, her expression still curious. She hadn't heard the tales of the Paopu fruit, so she had no idea what he was up to other than being up on the tree. However, she didn't ask questions. She'd wait for him.
Riku heard the small snap of the Paopu fruit being detached from the tree, and he held it in his hand before jumping from the tree. He landed softly on his feet, right beside Lightning. He glanced up at her before moving over to stand in front of her again, though his eyes fell back on the Paopu fruit. "This..." he started, though he trailed off. You can do this, he told himself again, clearing his throat. "This is a Paopu fruit. Legend says, if two people share one, their destinies will become intertwined. They'll remain a part of each other's lives, no matter what."

Lightning's eyes went from Riku's face to the item he held as he explained what it was. A Paopu fruit. A legendary fruit that connected people forever. The only reason Riku would be introducing this to her was because...He wants to share it with me, doesn't he? she realized, eyes growing faintly in size. She was...flattered.
"As a kid I always made fun of it," Riku explained, his eyes staying down on the fruit he held in his hands. "But...now I want to try it, to see if it's more than just a legend like they say." He then looked up at the woman before him. "There's only one person I want to share it with, and that's you." Despite the fact that Lightning wasn't looking at him, Riku could easily decipher her expression: surprise. Was it good, or bad? There was only one way to find out. "So...Light, would you share it with me?"

Lightning glanced up at Riku, seeing his sincere yet uncertain expression. No--his expression wasn't uncertain anymore. He was completely sure in what he wanted. And so was she. She lifted her hands and set them underneath Riku's so that she wasn't covering the Paopu fruit. "Yes," she said softly, glancing from the fruit to his face again as she felt a smile tug at her lips.
Riku blinked in a bit of shock, his nerves making him react in such a way. But a second after, he smiled warmly, a small hum leaving his lips as he looked Lightning in the eye. She agreed... She wanted to share the Paopu fruit with him. Riku moved one of his hands to grasp Lightning's, guiding it toward a point on the fruit so she could hold it as well. "On the count of three," he instructed gently. They would have to bite into it at the same time.

A small smile remained on Light's lips at Riku's reaction, the young woman holding onto the fruit where he placed her hand. Okay, the count of three... Her heart skipped a beat, which was unusual for her. Maybe she was so worked up because this was exactly what she wanted for so long. She wanted to be guaranteed a spot in Riku's life.
Riku looked from Lightning to the fruit, lifting it so it was in front of both of them. "One..." he started gently, his eyes on the fruit. "Two..." His heart sped up at the fact that he was about to do this, which forced his eyes to move to the person he would be sharing the fruit with. She could finish the countdown, and they would both bite into the piece of fruit. Their destinies would be intertwined, forever. No matter what.

Claire lifted her gaze to Riku when the countdown slowed, her boyfriend not saying the last number when he was supposed to. Just from seeing the look in his eyes, she understood why. "...Three," she said after a moment. She leaned her face closer to the fruit, trusting Riku to do the same. It was then she took a small, delicate bite of the legendary Paopu fruit.
Riku leaned forward and took a small bite from one corner of the star-shaped fruit, and as soon as it was in his mouth, he felt warmth embrace his heart. And it wasn't the juice the fruit harbored that caused it. It had to be the power within the Paopu fruit alone.

Light felt different when she had the fruit in her mouth. I'm not just tricking myself into thinking something is going on, right? she thought, eyes dancing up to Riku's again as she pulled her head back a tad and chewed. No, this can't be in my head. This is real... This warmth in her heart wasn't something she could fabricate. She reached out her free hand and grasped Riku's, her eyes staying locked on his. The magic of the Paopu fruit was real.
Riku managed to swallow his fruit despite the feeling in his chest, though surprise was also there. His eyes rested on Lightning as he grasped her hand in return, slowly lowering the Paopu fruit. The legend...was true. His and Lightning's destinies were intertwined, forever. They were going to be a part of each other's lives no matter what happened now.

Lightning loosened her grasp when Riku lowered the Paopu fruit, her eyes staying locked on his as that hand returned to her side. She didn't bother speaking even once she swallowed the food; she couldn't find her voice anyway. She wasn't one to believe in sappy legends like this, but Riku turned her into a believer today.
Riku dropped the Paopu fruit to the ground, the use for it completed. Now, his focus was on the person in front of him. "Lightning..." he whispered, nearly breathless. The power from the Paopu fruit was affecting his heart. He didn't think it was possible, but...the love he held for Lightning grew. They were connected now, even more so than before.

Lightning still felt speechless and breathless as she gazed at Riku. She couldn't even find the breath to say his name in response to him. So, she did the only thing she could do. She reached forward and grasped Riku's now empty hand, her eyes only going down briefly before landing on his again. I didn't think I would have any assurance that the Paopu fruit worked... she thought. She had been skeptical it would affect anything in the first place. But now she understood: she and Riku were connected by something stronger than pure affection now.
Riku leaned forward as soon as he deciphered the look in Lightning's eyes, his lips coming in contact with hers. He couldn't help it; he and Lightning had a stronger connection because of something he thought was a stupid legend. But it wasn't a legend, and it was far from stupid. It was...amazing.

Light shut her eyes, squeezing both of Riku's hands as she returned the kiss. You have no idea what this means to me, she thought, shoulders slumping in relief. Now I know that even if I am pulled away from the Islands, I'll come back to you someday. Everything was okay now. Better than that, actually. Much better.
When Lightning squeezed his hands, Riku only tightened his grasp. He kissed Lightning hard, but not out of any negative emotion; he was happy, even beyond it. He pulled back after a moment and rested his forehead against hers. "I love you," he whispered breathlessly, unable to help himself.
