Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning kept her eyes shut, allowing her forehead to lean against Riku's as they stood very close. "I love you too," she said in the same tone, voice hushed. You don't know how much. Riku changed her so much. He gave her hope that she could have a happy future, and that she was worthy of it. She made many mistakes, yet she was still loved. These were the gifts Riku gave to her.
Riku couldn't help but smile then, the young man opening his eyes. Upon seeing the look on Lightning's face, he couldn't resist releasing her hands and scooping her into his arms. He swept her off her feet, literally, and held her to his chest. He was going to marry this woman. Someday soon.

Light's eyes opened wide when she found herself in Riku's arms, clearly surprised but not startled. Soft laughter started leaving her lips as she wrapped her arms around Riku's shoulders and gazed at him. Laughter was rare for her, especially laughter that was caused by pure bliss like this. Riku was the only person who was ever able to cause this laughter to erupt from her.
Riku couldn't help but chuckle, Lightning's laughter doing that to him. It helped that he was happy. He knew that Sora and Kairi shared the Paopu fruit, but he never knew it felt this good. They never shared the details, probably not to spoil it for anyone else. Good thing too, because Riku wanted to experience this for himself. And now that he had....he couldn't even describe how good he felt.

Light leaned her head closer to Riku's, nestling it against his hair affectionately as she shut her eyes. If Serah could see me now... she thought randomly. She wished that Serah could see her with she was this extremely happy. It would just solidify that this was how their lives were meant to be. Finally, she was happy.
Riku had the urge to ask Lightning to marry him right then and there, after such a perfect moment. But...it wasn't the right time. He had a plan for his proposal already, and it was going to happen that way, not on a whim. Riku held Lightning close to his chest as he stood on the islet, next to the Paopu tree. Their time would come, and this was just one step in the right direction.

Light stopped nestling after a few moments, simply leaning her head against Riku's as she sighed a soft breath. "Spend the night," she breathed without thought. Riku needed to spend the night at her house after what just happened. They couldn't be apart after such a magical moment.
Riku's smile grew at that, and he squeezed Lightning gently. "Don't have to tell me twice," he whispered. He would gladly be with Lightning tonight, even if it was only the afternoon. He would be by her side for the rest of the day as well.

"Hmph," Light hummed with a small smile. Good. It wasn't like she gave Riku a choice in the first place. He was staying with her, whether he wanted to or not. And obviously he did if he was feeling the same way she was right now.

One month later...

Kairi looked in the mirror as Aqua helped her finish putting on her dress, the young woman unable to help but stare. The person opposite her, the reflection, was a stranger. The strapless white gown reached the floor, encrusted with beads at the top and tied with a ribbon at the waist. A small flower hung there, a layer of fabric falling from it and applying a rippling effect to the dress. Kairi's eyes darted to her face as Aqua finished up, her cheeks slightly pink because of the blush, her eyes having more makeup than usual. Her eyes popped, their amethyst color shining. Her hair was pinned up, curls falling to one side. All she needed now was a necklace and the flowers that were supposed to be inserted into her curls. As soon as that was done...it was time. She was getting married.

Namine stepped up behind Kairi, putting on the necklace for her easily. And then she easily put the flowers into the curls of her sister, her soft blue eyes darting to the mirror once Kairi was completely ready for the wedding. "Oh, Kairi!" she gushed, a smile appearing within seconds as her cheeks turned red in excitement. Today was the day! Kairi was finally getting married to the love of her life, Sora. It was about time. Those two loved each other their whole lives, or at least, Sora loved Kairi that long. He never gave up on her, and he never would. I'm so happy for you, Kai.

Aqua stepped out from behind Kairi and smiled. She placed her hands together and tilted her head, gazing at the young girl. "Oh, you look wonderful," she cooed. Kairi was the princess today, and that was besides her title. While Kairi would shine in her pure white gown, the rest of them--Aqua, Namine, and Aerith--would don strapless dresses the same color as Kairi's hair, a clip the shade of Sora's eyes on their waists. The wedding colors belonged to the bride and groom, which made it that much more special. Aqua thought it was beautiful, and she was sure everyone outside thought so too. "Sora's going to gush over you!"

Kairi giggled, her cheeks turning even more rosy at the words. Sora...she thought then, wondering how he was doing. He was probably making his way out to the beach right now, where everyone was waiting. Where he would be waiting to take her hand, once Riku walked her down the aisle. Kairi couldn't help but smile, unable to hold in her excitement or happiness. Sora would be her husband in a matter of minutes. She had waited for this day to come for so long...

"Beautiful," Aerith complimented with an ever-gentle smile. She was honored that Kairi asked her to be a part of the bridal party. While Kairi lived in Radiant Garden, she and Aerith had become pretty close. The two of them were alike in their love of flowers and their home world. And even though they hadn't seen each other for a while, their friendship was still strong. I'm so glad all of our friendships reach across the worlds, she thought as she gazed at the beautiful bride. My life would be empty without these wonderful people in my life.
Kairi looked at her friends through the mirror, smoothing out her dress slightly. My nerves...she thought, sighing. She was so nervous! But why should she be? She was marrying Sora, her best friend since childhood, and now to be her best friend forever. "Thank you," she said to all three of them, her smile genuine. They helped so much the past few days, and especially now, with her makeup and hair, and her dress. Everything was perfect.

Namine glanced back at the clock, smiling faintly as her heart jumped in anxiousness. "It's time!" she said excitedly, turning to look at Kairi again. She was going onto the next part of her life, with the person who was most significant to her. She was going to be moving out of the apartment, but Namine couldn't be too sad when Kairi was going to be so happy. She belonged by Sora's side, always. And she was ready to allow him to take care of her sister for the rest of her life.

Kairi's eyes widened, the girl blinking. Already? she thought, glancing at the clock as Aqua squeezed her shoulder. Oh gosh... She could do this. Riku would be with her. He wouldn't let her fall or anything. She was graceful anyway...right?

"Relax, Kairi," Aqua said, her voice calm as she smiled at the young girl. "You look beautiful, and Sora will think so too." She didn't tell her to not forget to smile; she would smile all day today. It was her wedding day! There was a knock at the door, causing Aqua to turn her head. "That better not be the groom!" she called with a slight smirk. Sora knew better.

Riku heard the warning, and he opened the door a little, peaking his head in. "Nope," he said, smirking. "The best man. I'm here to escort the bride down the aisle." He glanced from Aerith to Namine, to Aqua, and then to the girl in white. "But...that can't be Kairi." He stepped in further. "Who's this?"

"Riku!" Kairi whined, smiling. "Cut it out." He only grinned at her, which made her smile more. Riku was here... Maybe he could calm her down some.

Namine giggled, lifting a hand to her lips automatically at the short exchange between Riku and Kairi. Another thing she was glad for: Riku walking Kairi down the aisle. She wasn't on the best terms with the mayor, but that was his own fault. Honestly, things were for the best now. Riku, Sora, and Kairi were already like a family. Having Riku involved in such an important part of the wedding only proved how solid their family was, and how Sora and Kairi's marriage wasn't going to tear apart the family at all. It was incredibly sweet.

"You look beautiful," Riku said then, all joking aside. His smile became more genuine, his eyes trailing Kairi as she turned to face him. She looked down at herself and blushed, which caused him to smirk. Sora's going to be speechless, he realized then. "You ready? Sora's waiting."

Sora. Kairi felt her heart skip a beat at Riku's words. He was waiting for her... "Mm," she hummed, nodding. Some of her curls brushed her face, but they fell back in place. She glanced at her bridesmaids, releasing a small breath. "I'll see you out there," she said. It was time everyone got into position.

"Yeah, see ya," Namine said with a wide smile, giving Kairi a wink for good luck. Not that she would need it. Fate wouldn't be cruel and ruin her wedding day. Today was a day that they were all going to celebrate together. Something good was going to happen today, not that things had been bad lately. On the contrary, the past month had been very calm and peaceful for all of them. Even Xion, who was invited to the wedding as a friend. Everything couldn't have been better now. Unless, of course, Roxas wanted to give her a ring for her left hand. Then it could be better. The blonde started out with Aerith following behind, heading to where they needed to be. It was time to start the wedding.

Riku watched as Aqua left the room, shutting the door behind her quietly. He then focused on the bride, who gazed at herself in the mirror again. He approached her, standing to the side of her and slightly behind. "Relax," he said, setting a hand on her shoulder. Her shoulders were tense, but he knew she was just excited. He wore a black suit, his tie the same color as Kairi's hair and the flowers in it. All of the other groomsmen wore the same thing, just like the bridesmaids. Sora had been worried his tie wasn't straight, and because of it, he kept messing it up. Riku had to fix it multiple times. The thought made Riku want to chuckle. "Sora's not gonna know what to do when he sees you. You at least have that going for you."

Kairi giggled. "Riku..." she said softly, lifting her left hand to sit on his. Her engagement ring wasn't on her finger, since Sora took it a few days ago to get the wedding band attached to it. She was excited to see how it turned out. In order to do that, she had to go outside. Looking at one of the best men, she knew she was ready. Riku's presence alone helped her compose herself.

Sora shifted on his feet, unable to hold himself still as long as they were up front. And to think that he normally had trouble standing still because he had so much energy. But he just couldn't help it! He felt like he had been standing up there for so long. If the sun shining down on him and the black suit wasn't enough, his nerves were enough to make him overheated. Again, he picked at his tie. Oh come on already! he thought as he tried to remain as composed as possible. I just wanna marry her already!

Roxas glanced at the fidgeting groom and laughed. "Bro, relax," he said, clapping Sora on the shoulder. What was he worried about? "She's gonna look great, man." He had no doubt in his mind that Kairi was going to be beautiful, and Namine too. He hadn't seen her all day, just as Sora hadn't seen Kairi since yesterday morning. The bachelorette party was last night, as was Sora's bachelor party. They had fun, doing stupid stuff all night. But they got enough sleep for today. Roxas knew that Sora was just excited. Why shouldn't he be? It was his wedding day.

"Well of course she's gonna look great," Sora said in exasperation, shifting his gaze to one of his two best men. "She does all the time. But you know, I joked with her that she would be the one to faint on our wedding day, but I dunno what I'm gonna do when I look at her! If I just collapse in a heap, kick me till I wake up, okay?" His heart was pounding so quickly at the simple picture in his head of what Kairi could look like. And he knew it wasn't doing her justice.
Roxas rolled his eyes, but chuckled nonetheless. "Yeah, you got it," he said with a small nod. He heard murmurs in the crowd and looked to where everyone else was. The bridesmaids were coming, he was sure. "Get ready," he whispered then, releasing Sora and holding his wrist in front of him, taking on the formal stature for the occasion. It was time.

Sora took in a deep breath, slowly releasing it as he too grasped his wrist and looked down the aisle. The music began and within a few seconds, the first person walked down the aisle. His heart sank when it wasn't Kairi. But it was a good friend of his--Aerith. He was glad that Kairi was close friends with her now; Aerith was somebody he trusted and cared about. And she looked beautiful today in that dress. Sora sent her a small smile, which she returned with a gentle one of her own. By the look in her eyes, she clearly sensed his nerves and tried to soothe him. Heh, as if that could happen so easily...
