Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Once Aerith reached the middle of the aisle, Aqua knew it was her turn. She held a few flowers in her hands, which were the same colors as the rest of the wedding. She made eye contact with people she had come to know over the years, seeing Lightning sitting in one of the rows up ahead, as well as her sister and Snow. And next to Lightning, on the other side, was Terra. She smiled at him as she made her way down the aisle, a lot of people here to see the Keyblade Master and the Princess be wed. Aqua found Ventus, handsome as he stood next to Roxas, who naturally looked the same. And next to them, near the King, was Sora. She smiled at him, sending a wink his way. He would do great today, as would Kairi.

Okay, my turn, Namine thought to herself, seeing Aqua reach the halfway point. She took in a breath and straightened her shoulders, holding the flowers before her as she started down the aisle. She felt multiple eyes on her, but she also sensed the camera take a picture or two of her. Her old friend Ben was taking pictures for the wedding. She smiled weakly at him, then to her other friends in the seats as she passed them. And then, finally, her eyes landed on the best man standing at the front of the area. Roxas, she thought, her small smile turning up a little more. He looked stunning.
Roxas's eyes softened at the sight of the woman he loved. She looked...amazing. His lips turned up into a soft, loving smile. Namine, he thought. She looked better than he imagined, and that was saying something. He pictured her to look gorgeous, but she exceeded that. By far.

Namine eventually tore her eyes off of Roxas, reaching her spot and then turning to face the crowd that was gathered before her. The music that led her and the other girls in faded and the traditional music for the bride came on. The crowd stood up on cue, turning to face the place where Kairi was entering. This was going to be terrific.

Kairi stood behind a palm tree, where the line had originally started. She heard the music and closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath as she held onto Riku's arm. "Don't let me fall, Riku," she requested in a whisper, looking ahead. He lifted his hand and covered hers, her other hand holding her bouquet.

"Not a chance," Riku whispered, squeezing Kairi's hand before they started to walk. The people in the back row saw them first, and he could tell by the looks on their faces that they thought she was stunning. That was obvious anyway, because she was. They rounded the corner and appeared to the crowd, and he felt Kairi grip his sleeve tighter. He squeezed her hand again, his message obvious. I've got you.

Kairi's eyes danced over all of those on her as Riku began to escort her, his pace slow and even, just like it should have been. She smiled at the looks on her friends' faces, their eyes twinkling as they gazed at her. Her blush deepened as she glanced at the ground, though it stayed there for a minute. But then, she looked up. She spotted the people waiting for her at the end of the aisle. She saw Aerith, Aqua, and Namine...Ventus, Roxas, and the King. But her gaze lingered on the groom, his eyes hard to miss in the first place. Her lips spread into a smile at the sight of him. Her husband-to-be. Sora.

The moment Sora saw Kairi, he felt a rush of every positive emotion in the world hit him like a truck. Oh, don't let me fall Roxas! he thought, eyes widening at the sight of his bride. Kairi. His best friend. The girl he fell for the moment he laid eyes on her. The girl that he would always love, cherish, and protect. The girl that he was going to get to spend the rest of his life with. His blue eyes twinkled brightly as a smile also spread on his face. He couldn't help it. Kairi looked so beautiful, and today, they were finally going to be married. They vowed to be together forever, but now they were setting that vow in stone.

Roxas smiled more at the sight of Kairi, and how she blushed. He leaned over slightly, toward Sora. "She looks beautiful, man," he whispered, wanting to see how his brother was doing but not able to. He couldn't tear his eyes away from Kairi; nobody could.

Riku saw the way everyone was looking at the bride, and he chuckled quietly to himself at the look on Sora's face. He turned his head, leaning down slightly. "Told you he'd be speechless," he whispered. The look on Sora's face was enough to tell him. In fact, Sora looked like he would topple over at any moment. For his friend's sake, Riku prayed he wouldn't. Riku would never let him live it down.

Kairi giggled softly at Riku's words, glancing up at him as they reached the halfway mark. He met her gaze and winked, making her smile even more...if that was possible. Her eyes moved back to the crowd, finding her friends. Lightning was there, and Terra and Serah and Snow. Her friends from Twilight Town and Radiant Garden... Everyone she wanted at her wedding was here. But she couldn't keep her eyes off Sora for long, as they found their way back to the eyes the same color as the flowers in her hair. Goodness, he looked so handsome.

Uh, yeah, Sora thought in silence to Roxas, unable to keep his eyes off of Kairi. Instead, he only nodded faintly. He shifted faintly on his feet just to make sure that he wouldn't lose his balance and fall down on the ground. That would have been humiliating. But even more than having trouble standing still, Sora had trouble not running out and taking Kairi into his arms. That would come very soon.

In the crowd, Lightning looked over at Riku and Kairi. And she noticed how he smiled leading Kairi up the aisle. She knew how much it meant to him, even if he didn't specifically tell her so. He was just so happy to be a part of Sora and Kairi's big day. She was glad for him too, obviously. He was with his family and she was with hers. This day was perfect.

Riku felt gazes on him, though he was sure most of them were meant for Kairi. But one caught his attention. His eyes found Lightning instantly, and his smile remained as he gazed at her. She looked beautiful today, and the fact that she was happy was obvious by who was sitting next to her. He saw Snow mouth something to Serah, and he knew it had to do with how great Kairi looked. Riku agreed. His little sister... She looked amazing today. If her pure heart didn't show before, it did now, more than ever.

Light's eyes locked with Riku's for a brief moment, and she nodded faintly to give him encouragement. Not that he really needed it; he was doing just fine. The hard part was done now as they reached the front of the area. The ceremony began once everyone sat down in their seats again and her blue eyes went to King Mickey, who was the one ordaining this wedding.

The music faded, and Riku turned his head to look down at Kairi. She met his gaze, and he smiled. He leaned down, pecking his little sister and best friend on the cheek. He heard a few "aww"s from the guests, but he didn't care if he was being mushy. He was giving Kairi away, to his best friend. Kairi looked up at him once he pulled back, her eyes glistening with tears. "I'm happy for you, and I'm always here for you," he whispered. She smiled at him and he turned his attention to the groom. Kairi released his arm and he instead grasped her hand, holding it out slightly. "Take care of her, man," Riku said softly, nodding. He doubted Sora would do anything but. Regardless, it was something Riku felt was right to say.

Kairi glanced up at Riku at the words, her moist eyes then finding Sora. He'll do everything in his power, she thought. It was obvious that Sora would. He loved her; it was something she could feel always, their hearts being connected. And I'll do everything in mine to take care of him.

Sora reached out, lightly setting his hand on top of Kairi's in Riku's so that she could turn it to be in his. "Always," he promised, meeting Riku's eyes as he nodded. I will always take care of her. In sickness and in health. In the good times and the bad. Whatever they found in life, they would face it together. He would never leave her side and she would never leave his.

Kairi smiled warmly at the answer, one she had expected. She looked up at Riku in time to see him smile, and he released her hand. She turned hers then, grasping Sora's. Her eyes met his as Riku lovingly and gently ruffled his spiky hair, something he always did in the past to show his love for Sora. The sight made a few people chuckle, while she released a single, soft laugh. She was honored to have Riku hand her off, and now she was one step closer to being Sora's. Forever.

Lightning was one of the people in the audience who chuckled, seeing Riku show affection in one of the only ways he knew how to. He was a big lug, though. A sentimental lug. She shook her head faintly, seeing Sora shoot Riku a playful glare before he grasped Kairi's hand gently as he led her closer to her position. It was time for this all to really get underway.

Kairi held Sora's hand as she stepped forward, though she lifted the bouquet to give it to Namine. She smiled at her sister, the moisture in her eyes beginning to disappear now that Riku was in his spot next to Roxas and Sora. Things were going perfectly, and it was just beginning.

Namine smiled softly, taking the bouquet from Kairi gently as she gave her sister a nod. Don't start crying now, silly. This is just the beginning! King Mickey hadn't even spoken yet and Kairi was nearly in tears. She had to say that she wasn't surprised that Kairi was already emotional; Namine knew that she would be like this on her wedding day too.
Kairi turned and faced the man she loved, glancing at King Mickey to smile at him. She was glad he agreed to marry them; she couldn't imagine anyone else. Still holding Sora's hand, Kairi met his blue eyes with her own. Her heart instantly skipped a beat, feeling light in her chest. This is it.

King Mickey began the wedding the the classic "dearly beloved" speech, and Sora only heard bits and pieces of it as he kept his eyes solely locked on Kairi. He couldn't help it, really. She looked so gorgeous, not that she was ever ugly. But it was the happiness in her eyes that was most beautiful to him. He planned on keeping that happiness in her eyes as long as he could. Eventually, he heard King Mickey say that the two of them could exchange vows. Still feeling speechless at the sight of Kairi, Sora couldn't help but lifted a hand to his lips as he cleared his throat, and then he ran a finger under his nose like he always did. Realizing that he performed the habit, he smiled sheepishly at Kairi. C'mon, he told himself. You gotta keep it together and spit it out!
Kairi tilted her head slightly, her smile turning warm at the habit Sora performed. She squeezed the hand she held, gazing at him. It's just me, she communicated through her eyes. Whatever he had to say, he could say it. She was sure it was nothing but heartfelt emotion that would come through in his words. Even if there were only a few words, they would mean the world to her. She had the rest of her life to be with Sora, and receive and give the love between them.

Sora felt himself smile at Kairi's expression, though he was also nervous. He lowered his hand from his face, fighting the urge to run it over his spiky hair. "I've made a lot of promises over the years, Kai," he said softly, though his voice was loud enough for the rest of the area to hear. "And sadly, I broke a few of them. I promised things that I shouldn't have and broke them because I felt like it was what I had to do to keep you safe. No way was I going to lose my princess." He smiled softly, squeezing her hand. "But today, I'm going to make promises that I can keep. Promises that I will keep. Forever."
Kairi's smile grew a little more at the words, especially at the nickname Sora gave her. She was his princess, wasn't she? And by the looks of it, and sounds of it, she was going to be for the rest of her life. She would be his princess and he would be her prince. That was how it always had been, hadn't it?

"I promise that I will always love you," Sora said as he gazed into Kairi's eyes. "I promise that every day we're together, I will fall deeper and deeper in love with you. I promise that even though we'll face a lot of hardships together in life, we'll face them together. Life will be an adventure and every day we'll make the most of what life gives us. In sickness and in health, I promise I'll always try to make you happy and make you feel loved and cherished. I promise to always be yours, and yours alone." Those were a lot of heavy promises, but he would keep them all. He would.
As Sora made his promises, Kairi felt her eyes giving in to the moisture that tried to come through earlier. Her eyes began to water as she gazed at the man she loved, hearing his promises and feeling them reach her heart...because they came from his heart. The promises were ones she knew he would keep, no matter what. Kairi squeezed Sora's hand, her focus solely on him. If she looked behind him, she would have noticed Riku's smirk of approval and Roxas's sweet smile.

"I promise," Sora repeated more softly, lifting his free hand and lightly wiping away one of Kairi's curls but not messing up her hair in anyway. He wanted to lean forward and kiss her right then and there, but now wasn't the time for that. He had said all that he knew to say, and he briefly glanced at King Mickey to signal that. It was then that the King urged Kairi to give her vows as well. Sora wasn't sure what to expect, since they didn't rehearse vows with each other. They wanted them to be surprises for each other.
Kairi briefly closed her eyes when Sora brushed back some of her hair, but she opened them when the King spoke to her. She smiled a little before glancing at the ground, fighting the tears that wanted to spill. She wasn't sad. She was far from sadness in any way; she was just so...happy, and flattered. "I...remember when I was little, how I would always dream of finding my knight in shining armor," she started, looking up at Sora. "I imagined he would come to me, but...I came to him. It was by chance, but destiny made it so you and I could be together. Sora, you are my knight in shining armor. If I'm your princess, then you must be my prince." She smiled a little more, gazing into his eyes as she squeezed his hand. "Without you, I don't know where I would be. But I do know that what I'm feeling right now, this happiness...and this love, would not be with me. There's nobody like you in all the worlds."
