Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Two pieces of cake just for me?" Lightning joked, reaching for Riku's plate as he started getting seated. "You shouldn't have..." She felt Serah's gaze on her, and she knew her sister wasn't overly used to seeing Lightning joke around. She had to admit that it was strange sometimes to think of how much she changed, but it was all for the better. But she hadn't changed completely; she still chose to wear a brown dress instead of something bright. It had a pink ribbon tied across the middle of it though, so that satisfied Serah's desire for her to wear some color.
"I didn't," Riku countered jokingly, placing a hand on the edge of his plate as he looked over at Lightning. He heard Snow laugh at the exchange, but Riku only smirked. Gosh, he missed Lightning. He hadn't seen her since yesterday afternoon, since he had Sora's bachelor party to attend. It was good to be with her again.

"Well fine then, have your cake," Lightning said in fake exasperation as she took her hand away from it. She'd let him have that cake, but she sort of wished that she could feed it to him and shove it in his face. But that probably wouldn't happen today. Hopefully it would happen someday in the future, and it would be him and her standing up by the cake. They'd be the ones married.
Riku chuckled much like Snow had, his hand finding Lightning's leg under the table. He kept it there for a second before getting to his cake, much like everyone else. He began a conversation with Serah and Snow, having not seen them for some time. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Sora and Kairi at their own table, next to the one he was at. Soon, dinner would be served and toasts would be made. A duty he still had to perform as one of the best men.

Soon, dinner was served. The food was good, but the presence of others was even better to Lightning. The fact that Sora and Kairi invited Snow and Serah to the wedding was really kind of them. She really admired Sora and Kairi for the kindness they always showed to others. They weren't hardened by the battles that they had fought. Not like she was.
Roxas sat with Namine, Ven, Aqua, and Terra at their table to Sora and Kairi's right. He noticed that everyone was about done with dinner, and he knew what duty was next. He and Riku would have to give a speech, as would Namine. He looked over at Riku, making eye contact. It was as if both of them realized the same thing at the same time. Riku nodded to Roxas and the blond placed a hand on Namine's before rising to his feet. It was time.

Namine glanced over at Roxas, seeing what he was doing. She smiled faintly, nodding to him. "Good luck," she said. But once their toast was done, she would have to do her own. That was why her smile was so soft; it was a nervous smile. She hoped that she did okay; she didn't want to fumble over anything on such an important day.

Roxas smiled down at Namine, nodding his thanks before he started toward the stage with Riku. They both climbed the stairs and approached the microphones set up, there being multiple because of the band performing later. One of the waitresses handed them both a glass so they could drink to their toasts. Roxas looked at Riku as he whistled, getting everyone's attention.

Riku saw everyone look over at him at the whistle, causing him to smile sheepishly. "Sorry," he apologized, lifting the hand with the microphone after speaking to rub the back of his head. He lowered it, speaking into the mike again. "But I think it's time for some toasts."

Sora glanced out at the crowd, seeing them grasp the classes on their tables so that they could do the toast. Sora reached for his in front of him as he shifted his gaze to Riku and Roxas. Again he had no clue what was about to be said, but he knew Riku wouldn't humiliate him on his wedding day. Kairi would kill him if he did that.
Riku glanced at Sora and Kairi's table, seeing the bride grab her glass. He smiled and lifted the mike to his lips again. "As I'm sure many of you know, I've been best friends with Sora since I was three years old," he began. "Of course, we can blame the play dates on our parents, since we were together every single day." A few chuckles were heard amongst the guests, and Riku only smiled at his best friend. "Anyway, two years later, Sora and I met a little girl with the reddest hair I had ever seen. At first, we only knew her as the new girl on the Islands, but after only a few days of being with her, we could call her our best friend." Kairi smiled up at Riku from her place at her table, and he smirked. "Of course, the attraction between the bride and groom started way back then. Even if I was five, it was easy to notice. Besides, Sora never really was good at keeping his feelings a secret."

Sora chuckled, a sheepish smile appearing on his lips. Yeah... He glanced over at Kairi with the same sheepish expression before he looked back over to Riku. He wasn't good at keeping secrets for a really long time. Riku always called him a blabbermouth. But he grew up and was better at holding his tongue now. Good thing, too, or he never would have been able to keep his proposal plans a secret from Kairi.

"Over the years I pushed Sora to make his move," Riku explained, though he shook his head. "Heh, I even threw a Paopu fruit at him so he could get the picture. His moves were subtle, but I think Kairi knew his feelings the whole time." Kairi proceeded to smile, and Riku noticed a blush on her cheeks. "Who knew that a few years later I would be helping Sora propose?" Riku lifted his glass, chuckling as he got serious again. "But in all seriousness, I want to make a toast to my two best friends. I love you both like family, and I hope for nothing but happiness for both of you. Take care of each other."

Kairi had tears in her eyes again, since Riku's words touched her heart. My big brother...she thought in silence. She lifted her glass to him just as he did, his eyes on her and Sora.

"To the bride and groom!" Riku said in his microphone, then lowering it to raise his glass to his lips.

"To the bride and groom," Namine repeated with some others in the crowed before lifting her glass to her lips and taking a sip. Riku just gave the sweetest toast ever; how was she supposed to top that?! She already had planned what she was going to say, but she was so nervous now. And Roxas's toast was going to be just as great...Oh what am I gonna do?
Roxas took a sip of his drink before gazing at Riku, giving him a look. "I have to compete with that? Sheesh, lay it on thick," he said, earning a little laughter. Regardless, he put the microphone to his mouth and began. "I can't compare my life to Riku's, since I met Sora and Kairi a few years ago. It was by destiny that we met, but I don't regret it for a second." He smiled at his friends, the expression genuine. "They're both great people, and with their combined efforts, they've made me a better person as well. Sora's my long-lost brother, family I didn't think I had until we met. And Kairi, she's like a sister to me, and I care for her dearly. Not as much as her big brother over here," he stated, nudging Riku, "but I do my best. Both of you deserve a lot of happiness in your lives, and I know each of you have your Lights--each other. May you guide each other in any darkness you encounter in the years to come. I love you guys." Roxas then lifted his glass. "To Sora and Kairi."

"To Sora and Kairi," Lightning muttered with the rest of the crowd. Again she lifted the glass to her lips and took a sip. Those two were awful lucky that they had so many people caring for them. She knew what a good person Riku was, and Roxas too. Sora and Kairi were lucky to have met both of them and made them a part of their family. Someday, she hoped Riku would be a part of hers.
Roxas looked to the girl he loved, smiling warmly at her. "Nam," he called softly. "It's your turn." He was sure the speech she would give would be heartfelt and pure, and everyone would love it. She was a lovable person anyway. It would be great.

Namine's heart skipped a beat at the call, her eyes also widening ever so slightly in nervousness. Right. My turn... The blonde slowly rose to her feet, bringing her glass along with her and managing to climb up the stairs without tripping over herself in nervousness. She wasn't very good at standing in front of people; she was terribly shy...But she would do it for Sora and Kairi any day. They were her family. She stopped next to Riku and Roxas, looking at the latter in nervousness.
Roxas held out his microphone to Namine as Riku set his back on the stand. He and Riku would stay up here with Namine, but they would give her the moment to speak. He nodded to Namine, his message clear. You can do this. Just breathe.

Namine accepted the microphone, hoping her hand wouldn't sweat too much and make her drop it. She noticed Sora smile softly at her in encouragement, and she knew she couldn't stall any longer. She lifted the microphone and began to speak, a little timid at first but gaining confidence as she went along. "I didn't know these two since I was young like Riku did," she stated, shifting her gaze to somebody she viewed as a big brother. "I met Sora before I met Kairi, and it was at a time when I was really lost. I...did some things I still regret to this day, but once Sora found out, he didn't hold it against me at all. He showed me kindness and love and showed me a way to the Light. Of course, it wasn't the same love that he showed Kairi. I knew from the very start that Sora's heart belonged to Kairi, and he was in the process of winning her over. I was so happy because I knew that this girl was going to have somebody loyal and friendly and loving looking after her during her whole life. And then I did meet Kairi. And she became my best friend. She kept me on the right path and let me know that I was loved, and that I was never alone." Namine swallowed, getting teary eyed. "I wouldn't be who I am today without either of them impacting me. Their kind hearts are a perfect match for each other, and I'm not surprised that they are getting married today. And I know that as long as they live, they can impact so many more lives with the same love they've shown to people like me." She lifted her glass as a tear dripped down her cheek. "To Sora and Kairi," she said as she looked over at them. "May you always love each other and those around you."
Kairi had tears in her eyes already, her vision blurry as she watched Roxas and Riku take sips from their glasses. Her eyes were on her sister, the redhead smiling in joy. Thank you, she mouthed to her best friend. To all of them. They were her family, each in their own way. Kairi held Sora's hand under the table, the girl squeezing it as she took a sip of her drink and then lowered it to the table. She had such a wonderful family, and she wouldn't trade them for anything.

Sora finished taking a sip of his drink, the brunet also touched by what Namine had to say. He squeezed Kairi's hand before he rose to his feet and walked over to her, opening his arms to her. She stepped into them like she had before, hugging him and hiding her face in his shoulder because she was still shedding tears. He smiled softly at her, but he didn't say anything. He was truly touched, and hopeful of the future that he and Kairi had before him. Like Namine said, he hoped they could touch a lot of lives together.

Kairi followed Sora's lead, but instead of approaching her sister, she walked to her big brother. "Riku," she said softly, wrapping her arms around him as she kissed his cheek. She held him tightly as tears threatened to escape, but she wouldn't let them. Even if they were tears of joy and love, she wouldn't let them define her day. Her friends did that for her. Riku squeezed her gently and she began to pull away from him. He smiled at her before she moved to hug Roxas, her arms going around her friend's neck. "Thank you," she whispered, grateful for such a wonderful speech. None of her friends had to say such things.

"You're welcome," Roxas murmured, smiling softly as he held Kairi. She squeezed him, which made him chuckle. When they pulled back, he nudged her chin lightly. "No crying." Kairi smiled at him and nodded, and both of them looked over at Namine. She had a gentle soul, and Roxas was glad that Sora was comforting her. He was a good friend to her, always.

Sora and Namine both pulled back from the hug, and the blonde gave a weak smile as she wiped at the few tears that escaped. Sora lifted a finger and touched her nose, teasing her for crying. "Shut-up, goof," she muttered, though she was smiling now. He just smirked at her before going over to shake the hands of Roxas and Riku to thank them for their words as well. She had to pull it together here; they were still on stage after all.
Riku grabbed Sora's hand and did the usual, pulling him in for a one-armed hug and patting him on the back. "Congrats, man," he said, pulling back to look at his best friend as Kairi tended to Namine. Even if he did have a crush on Kairi at one point in his life, Sora loved her more. That beat out a crush any day.

"Thanks," Sora said, patting Riku on the back as they did their "man-hug". He pulled back as well, a grateful smile on his lips. "Guess I won the girl, huh?" he asked, shifting his gaze over to Kairi. He and Riku competed for her, but it was never a real competition. Kairi always felt more inclined to Sora. And besides, Riku won a girl of his own now. Sora knew he wouldn't have it any other way.
