Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku looked over at Kairi as well, though he released a small "hmph" as he smirked. "Not won," he said. "Earned." Sora could have been a person to make terrible decisions in his past, but he didn't. A majority of the decisions he made were for Kairi, and being the big brother that he was, Riku approved. As usual.

Sora smiled, shaking his head faintly. "I could never earn somebody as special as her on my own," he said, shifting his gaze back over to Riku. "I had some help." Like Riku said, he gave him some nudges along the way to encourage him to get to Kairi. Riku helped him mature and become the type of person who could take care of Kairi like she deserved. For that, Sora would always be grateful to his brother.
Riku nudged Sora with his elbow, his smirk turning into a smile as the girls before them embraced. All Riku did was nudge him in the right direction; the rest was all Sora. Regardless, Riku knew someone that was more important than him at that moment. "Get back to your bride," he encouraged. They still had the rest of the reception to celebrate.

"And you get back to yours," Sora said with a smirk, sure that nobody else heard it but him, Riku, and maybe others on the stage. Certainly not the people out in the crowd. Sora would get back to Kairi and Riku could return to Lightning. It was time for dancing, if he recalled the schedule correctly.
Riku blinked in surprise. Did he really just...? Roxas took it upon himself at that moment to tell the DJ to continue with the party, since the speeches were done now. Riku knew then that it was time for Sora and Kairi to have their first dance. The rest of them would give them the space. Riku nudged Sora again for his comment before hopping off the stage, landing smoothly in the sand. He would get him for that comment later.

Sora chuckled at Riku's expression, shaking his head faintly as he approached his bride. Namine started off the stage as he did, and Riku had already hopped off. "Kai," he said gently, a small smile on his lips as he offered her his hand. It was time that they had their first dance as husband and wife. Husband and wife. That's gonna take a while to get used to, that's for sure.

Kairi turned to face her husband, her eyes spotting his hand that was held out to her. Oh, right, she thought. It was time for their dance. Their first dance as a married couple. Kairi extended her hand to meet Sora's and nodded as the band made their way onstage.

Sora smiled, able to tell Kairi had forgotten it was time to dance. He leaned his head forward and gave her a kiss on the forehead before his other hand landed on her waist. He was so glad that he could show off his wife to all the people that were here. He was a big sap on the inside, overwhelmed with how beautiful she was and how she was his. But on the outside he tried not to appear completely sappy or Riku would never let him live it down.

Kairi held one of Sora's hands while the other lifted to his shoulder, the kiss making her smile even more. The band began to play a lovely song, and the two swayed along with it. All eyes were on them, of course, since they were the center of attention for the day. She didn't mind, since she really didn't notice. Her focus was solely on the man in front of her. My husband...

Sora danced with Kairi and though he wasn't the best dancer in the world, he didn't stumble on his feet at all today. He held her close, he twirled her, he brought her close to his chest and kissed the top of her hair. Having her in his arms and having her as his wife was enough to distract him from the eyes that were on the two of them. They were in their own world. Their own heaven.
Riku sat at the table beside Lightning, his eyes on his friends. As stoic as he usually was, he couldn't help but smile. He could tell Sora was making Kairi happy by the way she was smiling so much. He never doubted either of them would be unhappy with each other, which was what made it so easy to "give" Kairi away. He was sure that if her father was around, he would hand her off too.

Lightning glanced over at Riku beside her, seeing the way that he still wore that smile. That smile looks good on you, she thought as she wore a small one of her own. If they were sitting closer, she would have leaned her head on his shoulder. But instead, she put a hand on his leg before shifting her gaze back to the happy couple.

Riku glanced over at Lightning before setting his hand on the one she placed on his leg, curling his fingers around it. He then looked back to the couple, seeing Kairi twirl again. Even if the band was playing, he could tell she was laughing by the way she held herself. He knew that Sora would make her laugh a lot more in the future.

Kairi stepped back into Sora's hold after being twirled once more, her hand staying in his as the other found his shoulder. She looked up at him with a soft smile. "I love you," she told him, speaking over the music. How couldn't she? He was an amazing person inside and out. Perfect, for her.

  • Author
"I love you too," Sora responded with a small smile, squeezing Kairi's hand. Always have, always will. That was what he vowed to her today, and that vow wouldn't be broken even by death. Kairi was a part of his heart and he was a part of hers. They'd be together forever.
Kairi smiled a little more, gazing at Sora before she moved closer. She rested her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes as they continued to sway. To think, she had fallen for someone else in the past, someone who used her. How could she? Sora was the one for her. He always had been. Even if he went away, she would wait for him, even if it took years. Sora was worth it, and always would be.

Once the first song ended, Lightning noticed movement out of the corner of her eye. Other couples were moving closer to the stage so that they could dance as well. At least they waited until it was their turn to dance and didn't interrupt the first dance of the husband and wife. Among the couples going up, she noticed Serah and Snow. Of course. Should have expected that. This must be like them reliving their own wedding day... That would explain the joy that radiated around them.
Riku saw other people make their way onto the dance floor, which was really just some wooden floorboards set on the sand. Roxas and Namine were out there already, dancing near Sora and Kairi. He looked over to the woman he was sitting next to, squeezing her hand. "Shall we?" he asked, jerking his head toward the crowd. The last time he danced with her was at the ball the villains managed to crash. That wouldn't be happening today.
  • Author
"Not a very romantic way to ask a girl to dance," Lightning stated with a faint smirk. Riku just asked her pretty casually, even if he did use the word "shall". If Serah had been over here, she probably would have playfully told Riku to do something a little more heartfelt to ask Lightning to dance. I guess Serah's rubbed off on me, 'cause I just took her job.
Riku smirked as well. "You're not exactly a girl anymore, Light," he pointed out, rising to his feet. He held out his hand to the 22 year old, and though he just joked with her, his eyes were sincere. Dance with me. Please?

Lightning rolled her eyes, slipping her hand into Riku's as a small smirk remained on her lips. "If Serah knew I was going to dance with you after a weak proposal like that," she muttered, though she made sure that Riku could hear her. Serah was a hopeless romantic, much like her "hero" Snow. That wasn't a trait that the two sisters shared. Lightning was completely rational about love...in the past. But love was rarely rational in the real world. You loved somebody even if you shouldn't have, and you loved them despite their flaws. That was what she learned in love.
Riku chuckled, leading Lightning out to the dance floor. "I'll make it up to you later," he promised. And he would, with a proposal of his own in the future. He wasn't sure when, but it would be sooner rather than later. He and Lightning had been dating for a little over a year, but it was enough for him to know he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. And he was sure she felt the same way.

"Mm-hm," Lightning hummed, giving Riku a look of teasing disbelief. Still, as he led her out, she had to be careful not to fall over her heels. Even if they were just an inch off the ground, she wasn't used to these types of shoes. Or wearing the dress that was to her knees. It had one strap and was a chocolate brown with a pink ribbon around the middle that was a little brighter than her hair. Serah had helped pick out the dress, and the only reason Lightning was allowed to wear it was because the pink ribbon counted as Lightning wearing something other than a dull uniform.
Riku approached the dance floor, turning once he found a spot for him and Lightning to join in. He pulled her close, one hand still holding hers as his other went to her waist. He failed to mention earlier that she looked beautiful, even if he didn't expect her to wear the dress. For some reason, he expected her to wear purple again, like she did at the ball. Regardless, she did look great. As usual.

Light set a hand on Riku's shoulder without a word, knowing that they were done teasing each other for now. Riku must have been swayed by the romantic aura in the air like every other person who came here with somebody significant. She sort of wished that he could be sitting next to her during the wedding; she had really missed him during that time. Looks like I'm the sappy one now. Yeesh.
"You look great, by the way," Riku mentioned, his voice soft compared to the music. "I never got the chance to say it earlier." He had been so busy being a best man and the best friend the past few days, and the past few hours. The first time he saw Lightning today was when he walked Kairi down the aisle.
