Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Well, you've been busy," Lightning said quietly with a very faint smirk tugging at her lips. "So I won't hold it against you just as long as you don't hold this against me: You look really handsome today. Especially with that smile." He had to know the one she was talking about; it was the smile that he wore when looking at his best friends. He was truly thrilled for them.
Riku chuckled a little, shaking his head. "I've been smiling like a fool all day," he realized, looking over Lightning's head to see his two best friends still dancing. "Great." He couldn't help it if he was happy for them; they were his family, and he'd grown up with them. How couldn't he be happy for them?

"Yeah," Light said seriously, a small smile on her lips. "It is great." Riku was a serious person, a lot like she was. So if he was smiling all day then he was really happy. She wished she could remember a time when she made him smile like that all day. But at that moment, she couldn't. Was that a bad thing?
Riku looked back down at Lightning then, catching the way she looked at him. He lifted an eyebrow slightly. He knew he loved it when she smiled, which used to be very rare. But now she smiled a lot, depending on the case. Lightning acted like she had never seen him smile before, when just a little while ago he had done nothing but, when they shared the Paopu fruit. "Light..." he whispered softly.

Light realized by Riku's tone that he had seen something in her eyes that she hadn't meant to convey. Not to him. She pulled herself a little closer, leaning her cheek against his shoulder as she looked at his neck. I wish I could make you smile more often, she thought in silence, sure that if her heart could speak to Riku's, it would communicate the words for her. I'm just so serious...I don't know how to make you overflow with joy like you are today. Does that make me bad for you?
Riku moved his hand from Lightning's waist to her lower back, keeping her close. "You okay?" he asked, his voice a murmur. He didn't want anyone hearing; if there was something wrong, it didn't need to be known by the bride and groom. This was their day. But if Lightning needed him, Riku would be there. She knew that.

"Mm-hm," Lightning hummed, giving Riku's shoulder a light squeeze. "Just taking myself too seriously, as always." She murmured the words to him alone, not allowing anyone to overhear. She couldn't help it if she was too serious sometimes; she was raised as a soldier. Sometimes that mentality crept back into her mind in situations where it shouldn't have, like this one. Maybe somebody else could make Riku smile more, but nobody could love him more than she did. As long as she loved Riku as much as she did, then things would be alright.
Riku smiled a little, continuing to sway with Lightning. "You've gotta stop that," he whispered, though lovingly. He adored Lightning, that much was obvious, but she needed to loosen up sometimes. Especially at an occasion like this. It was supposed to be fun, light-hearted. He would make sure Lightning experienced that today, and on a special day in their future.

Light rolled her eyes, keeping her head on his shoulder. "Thanks for the words of wisdom, wiseguy," she muttered, though a faint smile presented itself on her lips at the joking. Riku was the only person she knew who could change her attitude so easily and naturally. He made her feel like a human being and not a mindless soldier. She'd always appreciate him for helping her realize that she was special in a good way and that her position as a soldier didn't have to define who she was. Not anymore.
"'Welcome," Riku muttered, turning his head to kiss Lightning's pink hair. He held the position for a second before pulling back, holding her as they continued to dance. He briefly made eye contact with Kairi, winking at her as she smiled. He could tell she was happy for him, because he found someone who he could love and be loved in return. He was happy too. He never thought he would find anyone, but Lightning proved him wrong.

"Hmph," Lightning hummed at Riku's response, a small smirk on her lips. But at the kiss and how he gently held her, her smile turned softer and more gentle. She shut her eyes, taking her hand off Riku's shoulder and setting it on his cheek as they swayed to the music. "I love you, Riku," she said quietly, staying where she was. You have no idea how much I do. Though he was associated with the Darkness, he was her Light.
Riku closed his eyes, lowering his head a little. "I love you too, Claire," he whispered. He didn't use her true name often, but when he did, it was special. At least, that was how he saw it. And when he made his declaration of love, it was special enough.

Since Serah and Snow were dancing close to Riku and Lightning, the sister heard Riku's proclamation of love and the name that he used along with it. Concerned at first, her blue eyes darted to Lightning. But instead of pulling away or anything, Lightning's small smile widened. And then Serah found her eyes growing moist. Lightning finally accepted her past. She finally was at peace with it, and happy to be associated with her younger self. "We made the right choice letting her go, Snow," she said quietly to her husband, leaning her face against him as she continued watching Riku and Lightning. Lightning found her home with Riku.
"Hmph," Snow grunted, looking from his wife to the couple nearby. "I always knew Light had a soft side. Who knew Riku would be the one to bring it out of her?" Snow clearly didn't guess it. He knew Riku well enough to see the similarities between the guy and Light. They were both hard-headed, defensive, and stoic. At the same time, though, a softer version resided on the inside. Match made in heaven.

"Yeah, who knew," Serah repeated softly, her eyes still moist. Snow didn't get all that she was referring to since he didn't know Lightning growing up, but that was alright. He didn't need to know it all and just how much it meant for Riku to be able to use the name "Claire" with her. Not even Serah could do that. Nevertheless, she kept those thoughts to herself and brought up another one with a giggle. "Maybe you can actually get away with dancing with her later." Serah would like to see that the two of them were friends enough to dance with each other.
"Might be tough," Snow acknowledged with a small smile. "She seems to be clinging to him over there." He had never seen Lightning be so caught up in someone in his life. It was like how he was with Serah, which was odd. Light, a romantic? He thought he would never see it.

"I can hear you, you know," Lightning muttered loud enough for the rest of her family to hear. She looked over at Snow and Serah, giving them a look as her head remained on Riku's shoulder. She most certainly was not clinging to him. She was just enjoying being in his arms. Serah started giggling at being caught, but the smile on her face was so genuine that Lightning couldn't make her expression too hard.
Riku glanced over at Lightning's sister and brother-in-law, wearing a smirk. He had been this whole time, hearing what they were saying. He and Lightning had sharp senses, so of course they could hear them. He had just been waiting for the moment Lightning would crack. He saw Snow smile sheepishly, as if scared of Lightning. From what Riku heard, Lightning didn't hold back when it came to Snow. Of course, that was before she and Riku met. He bet she wasn't that violent anymore.

Light glanced up at Riku, seeing that he was looking over at her family and smirking. "Sheesh Riku, we don't get any privacy, do we?" she mumbled, though she was joking. Of course Serah was going to observe Lightning showing her softer side. It was something that Serah rarely saw in the past. She was sorry she was so cold in the past, but there was nothing she could do now but move on with life as a better, more-rounded person. Yeah she was hard and stoic, but she was caring and loving too. And she wasn't afraid to show that anymore.
Riku chuckled a little, looking down at the woman he loved. "Afraid not," he admitted. People were always curious about them, since they never seemed like the types to fall in love. Of course, that changed when they met each other. True, neither of them expected it, but that was the beauty of it. At least in Riku's eyes.

"Love you, Lightning," Serah said sweetly, smiling over at her sister. Of course, she didn't even dare use the name "Claire" even if Riku just did. She knew that Riku earned the right to call her Claire somehow, in a way that Serah didn't even as her sister. That was what made Riku so extraordinary. In response to the words she spoke, Serah noticed Lightning roll her eyes just because of the tone. But the small smile on her face translated to words to Serah. "Love you too."

Snow smiled softly, looking at Lightning for a moment. She was happy, something he had always wanted to see. In the past, she was always too serious, too guarded. Riku changed that, somehow. Snow wasn't sure how he did it, but all that mattered was that he did. "Hey, Riku," he called, catching the young man's attention. "Take care of Light for us, alright? We can't lose our sis, especially when she's finally happy."

Riku nodded slightly, smirking. "You won't have to worry about that," he promised. Lightning already knew he would take a bullet for her any day, and he was sure Snow and Serah realized that as well. Lightning was never going to slip through his fingers; he nearly made that mistake once. It wasn't going to happen again.

Lightning looked over at Serah and Snow, seeing that Serah was looking up at her husband with a small smile. I'm the one who's supposed to be protective of you two, or so I always thought, she pondered. But now you guys are the ones making sure that I find happiness. She never thought a day would come when others would be looking out for her like this; she didn't believe anyone would ever see her as somebody actually needing happiness. But these two, like Riku, saw her as a human being and not as a soldier. Thank you, both of you.
Riku looked down at Lightning as the slow song faded, the band beginning to play a faster song now. It was more upbeat, much like the day and occasion in general. He wondered if Lightning would still want to dance. Whether she did or not, he would stay by her side. That was, of course, until he stole a dance from the bride.

Lightning looked up at Riku as the song changed to a faster one, and she took her head off his shoulder to get a better look at him. "I don't know how to handle this," she said with a small smirk, referring to the music. She was trained to dance certain types of dance, but nothing faster like this. So if Riku wanted to make a fool of himself and dance out here, she supposed she would stay with him. If not, they could exit the dance floor together.
