A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"I don't want another pretty face. I don't want just anyone to hold. I don't want my love to go to waste. I want you and your beautiful soul," Roxas sang, his eyes falling closed. "You're the one I wanna chase. You're the one I wanna hold. I wont let another minute go to waste. I want you and your beautiful soul." The boy opened his eyes briefly to look down at his guitar before continuing. "You're beautiful soul.... Yeah-h-h."

 

Kairi watched Roxas from where she stood, listening to him continue into the next verse. She always knew Roxas could sing and had great talent in writing songs. But...this song was so sweet. She couldn't help but smile, looking up at one of her good friends as he performed.

Sora noticed people around him start dancing, and he figured that he may as well hold Kairi in his arms as the beautiful song went on. "Kai?" he asked, holding out hand for her to take. They could either dance or just listen to the rest of the song; it didn't matter to him just as long as Kairi did what she wanted. 'Cause really, this was all about her.

Kairi looked over at her husband, seeing his hand. She took it wordlessly, unaware of that fact that Riku had disappeared from her side. She stepped over and into her lover's arms, staying close as she listened to Roxas continue with his beautiful song, one he said Sora could relate to. If that was so, then she was truly blessed.

Sora leaned forward and gave Kairi a kiss on the head, swaying with her as he listened to the music go on. Roxas was right; he could relate to this. He wanted nobody but Kairi in his arms, ever. He loved her with all that he had. And he always would.

 

Lightning had returned to the table, and was by herself since Snow and Serah went out to dance. She wasn't expecting Riku to come, either; she expected that he'd be up close to the front to support Roxas since the two of them were friends. That was perfectly alright with her; today wasn't about her anyway.

"...You're the one I wanna chase. You're the one I wanna hold. I won't let another minute go to waste. I want you and your beautiful so-o-oul!" Roxas cried into the microphone, eyes shut tightly as he reached the high note. If he would have opened his eyes, he would have seen Kairi and even Aqua looking at him in astonishment, due to his vocals. When he previously performed this to Namine, it was the acoustic version--much softer, gentler. Now, it was more powerful, and he was sure that showed.

Namine's eyes widened as well at Roxas's stunning vocals, the blonde having never heard him sing it like that. After a brief moment of being stunned, she lifted her fingers into her mouth and let out a shrill whistle in approval, hearing others in the crowd cheer because of that note. That's my Roxas, she thought proudly, staying in her seat by the sidelines.

The whistles registered, and Roxas opened his eyes in surprise, though the music didn't halt. "Am I crazy for wanting you? Baby, do you think you can want me too? I don't wanna waste your time," he continued, fighting a smile as his gaze locked on his friends. But then, they found Namine. "Do you see things the way I do? I just wanna know if you feel it too. There is nothing left to hide." He continued back into the chorus, starting it calmly despite the nerves jumping around inside him.

Namine's cheeks turned red once Roxas's gaze was set on her, and she knew that she was probably the most envied girl at this party right now because she was the one who had Roxas's heart. He really was a terrific guy--kind, devoted, honest, and loving. And so much more that she couldn't put into words. She lifted a fist to her lips, eyes quivering again. I wanna marry you someday.

"I want you and your soul! I don't want another pretty face. I don't want just anyone to hold. I don't want my love to go to waste. I want you and your beautiful soul," the boy sang, strumming his guitar. "Oh-h. Your beautiful soul, yeah-h-h." He tore his eyes from Namine when he had to close them, reaching falsetto. "Ah-h-h, yeah. You're beautiful soul, yeah-h-h." He continued playing his notes until the last one appeared, and Roxas gave one last strum, letting the note fade.

 

Even if Roxas and Riku had a troubled and conflicting past, the older teen brought his fingers to his lips and gave a harsh whistle as some of the crowd also cheered. He was sure Kairi was one of them, and Sora, since he and Roxas were so close. Not bad...

"Hmph," Lightning hummed with a faint smirk, applauding from her spot. She didn't think that she ever heard Roxas sing before, but she knew that he had a passion for it from what she heard of him. Now she could see it was more than just a passion; he had natural talent for it. Good job.

Roxas rubbed the back of his head with the hand holding his guitar pick, looking at the crowd below the stage. "Heh," he laughed, becoming shy all of a sudden. He loved to perform, he really did, but he didn't expect a reaction like that. He stuck his guitar pick in his pocket after nodding to the crowd, turning and taking the guitar strap off his shoulder. This next song wouldn't require his instrument.

Namine giggled at Roxas's cuteness, the blonde stuck to her chair watching him. It wasn't too often that he got shy to this degree, but he was so precious when he did. She would have to be sure to bring this up later just so that she could see him like this again; it was too cute to disregard.

Roxas turned around again, walking up to the microphone and grabbing it, but that was when his eyes found Namine again. She was still in that chair...but she wouldn't be for this song. "Riku," he called, catching the older teen's attention. He jerked his head Namine's direction and Riku understood, nodding to Roxas before going towards her. Roxas didn't want her sitting all by herself anymore; she needed to be up with her friends, in front of the stage and having fun.

Namine blinked in surprise when Roxas jerked his head towards her and sent Riku at her, momentarily confused. But then she understood; he didn't want her just sitting by the sidelines. She had been perfectly alright with just listening and watching him, but it was sweet that he wanted her with her friends too. The blonde rose to her feet, straightening her crimson dress as her eyes caught onto Riku. A shy smile appeared on her lips at the sight of him. What, was he actually going to dance with her? She knew the next song was going to be a fast one, and that wasn't exactly Riku's style.

Riku approached Namine, seeing the smile on her face. He held his hand out to her as he looked at her. "C'mon," he encouraged, jerking his head toward the stage. He would get her by Sora and Kairi as well. Roxas's message was clear: he didn't want Namine sitting by herself. And thinking about it, Riku didn't want that either.

 

Roxas signaled to the keyboard player to go ahead and start, since this song required a lot of instruments they didn't exactly have. Regardless, he would let the music play for a second while he spoke. A techno sound filled the beach, the beat faster than his last song as Roxas took the microphone off its stand, moving it so it was out of the way. "This one's for the special occasion, guys," he announced. "And it's all thanks to the bride and groom. Give it up!"

 

Kairi felt herself blush for the millionth time that day as her friends all cheered, and for her and Sora. She looked from the crowd to her husband, smiling softly. We have great friends, don't we?

Namine nodded softly, her smile in the same manner as she accepted Riku's hand. Hopefully Lightning didn't mind Riku being occupied for a little while. Namine had been wanting to dance with him anyway, since he was such an important person in her life. Her big brother.

 

Sora chuckled shyly, glancing over at his wife. They were thinking the same thing, obviously: they were blessed to be surrounded by so many people who cared about them. He'd have to thank Roxas for this later; he really didn't have to do this, but he was anyway.

Roxas looked out to the crowd, seeing Riku pulling Namine through it all so she could be by Sora and Kairi. He smiled, unable to help it as he lifted a hand up. "There's somethin' special happenin' here. I feel it comin' in the air," he began. "There's somethin' special happenin' he-eh-eh-re. I feel it comin' in the air. Tonight, we're livin' in the moment tonight." Of course, he pointed at Sora and Kairi. "Toast to the homies tonight. The night keeps goin'. The music keeps flowin', and everybody's feelin' alright."

 

Kairi couldn't help but laugh when Roxas pointed at her and Sora. Homies, Roxas? she couldn't help but think, finding the lyric amusing.

Serah chuckled at the term "homies", as did Sora when Roxas pointed at them. But she shifted her gaze to her husband before looking over at Lightning, who was sitting by herself at one of the tables. "It's time," Serah declared as she looked back to Snow. The two of them had a secret surprise for Lightning, and now seemed like the best time to bring it out in the open since Riku was occupied. This surprise was just for Lightning.

"Right," Snow agreed with a nod. He grasped Serah gently by the hand and started to lead her toward her sister. Lightning appreciated being alone now, but in a second, she wouldn't think anything of it.

 

Roxas closed his eyes, moving across the stage. "'Cause we just livin' the life. The feelin' never dies. It can't be stopped, it won't be stopped. We just can't stop it tonight." He then started tapping his hand against his leg as the beat picked up, the chorus appearing. "There's somethin' special happenin' here. I feel it comin' in the air," he started, beginning the chorus. This song, it was new, but it was special for the occasion. And like he said before, it was all thanks to Sora and Kairi.

Lightning had been watching the stage, but then she noticed movement out of the corner of her eye. Two people were coming out of the crowd. Her gaze went over there, and she blinked faintly in surprise when it was Snow and Serah and they were coming towards her. You two better not be skipping out on a dance because of me, she thought silently. And you better not try dragging me out there again. She danced two fast songs with Snow; that was fast enough.

"We the life of the party. We don't stop, we go hard!" Roxas cried, lifting his free hand. "So everybody lift up your cup, and throw your hands up. And make it special."

 

"Hey, sis," Snow greeted over the music, hearing Roxas's voice. He was sure it echoed all over the beach now. He approached Lightning, his grasp still on Serah's hand. They had a surprise for her.

"Hey," Lightning greeted, an eyebrow arched ever so slightly in suspicion. "Shouldn't you two be out there dancing?" Snow never missed an opportunity to dance with Serah, at least, Lightning didn't know any opportunities that Snow didn't take advantage of in the past. If the two of them were here just so that she wouldn't be alone, she'd force them back into the crowd. She was fine by herself.

"Actually," Snow started, smirking. "We have a surprise for you." And he knew how much Lightning hated that word. Regardless, she would love this one. All she had to do was come with them.

 

"Tonight, top of the world tonight. Feelin' number one tonight," Roxas continued, his eyes finding his friends in the crowd. "Big, big plans. It's all in our hands, and it can be whatever we like. Don't waste a minute tonight, 'cause ain't no limits tonight. It can't be stopped, it won't be stopped. We just can't stop it tonight." He then went back into the chorus, glad to see that a majority of the crowd appreciated this song, or at least liked it to some degree. It seemed that Kairi did, since she was dancing with Sora again, and Aqua was dancing with Terra. And Xion... She was even dancing with Ventus. Roxas couldn't help but smile, glad his best friend was comfortable here.

Lightning's eyes narrowed faintly. "You know I don't like surprises..." she said, eyes going back and forth between Serah and Snow. They tried surprising her in the past, on her birthday with terrible news. Didn't they remember how that went? It was an absolute disaster. What made them think that giving her a surprise today was a better idea than the last time?

 

"Yeah, we know," Serah agreed with a smile. "But you'll like this one. No l'cie curses involved, promise." She knew what Lightning was thinking of, of course, It was hard not to since that was the last big surprise Serah had for her sister. That and the proposal, which she really hadn't been pleased about. Telling her both things on her birthday really wasn't a smart idea.

Snow smiled sheepishly at Serah, hating to be reminded of what happened in the past. Regardless, he released Serah's hand and took a step closer to Lightning, holding out his hand to her. "Come with us," he encouraged. "You'll like this. I promise." He didn't lie, either. And Lightning knew that.

 

Roxas made his way back to the center of the stage, placing his microphone back on the stand. "We the life of the party. We don't stop, we go hard! So everybody lift up your cup, and throw your hands up, and make it special! Tonight..." It was then that he released the microphone, letting it sit on the stand as he did his own little dance to the beat, just like the others.
