Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning's arched brow remained, but she accepted Snow's hand and rose to her feet. "Fine," she said. "But if I end up hating it, I'll be taking it out on you." She already felt nervous just because there was something waiting for her. Surprises really weren't her thing. So if Snow was wrong and this ended up being disastrous, he would face her wrath. And he would face it while they were away from the crowd; she wasn't going to ruin Sora and Kairi's wedding.
Snow chuckled. "Fine by me," he said, confident. This had been Serah's idea, and because of that, it was going to be great. He held Lightning's hand securely, just in case she tried to make a run for it, as he started away from the party and down the beach a little, where her surprise was waiting for her.

Serah noticed how on guard Lightning still was despite their reassurances as she stepped forward to walk next to her. "Relax," she said with a confident laugh. "It's not an ambush or anything." Well, not the kind that Lightning would have thought of. It was a sort of ambush, but not a violent one. She noticed her sister nod faintly and then briefly glance back at the crowd and she smirked. "And you'll be back to Riku really soon."

"That's not why I was looking back," Lightning snapped defensively, though it wasn't a harsh snap. But really, that was why she looked back. But Riku was busy with Namine anyway, so he wouldn't notice she was gone for another minute or two. It'd be fine, and like Serah said, she'd be back with him soon. "Just hold on a second, would you?" she muttered, stopping as she took her hand out of Snow's. She slipped off her small heels, hating wearing them in the first place. But in the sand it was even worse.

Back in the crowd, Sora continued to dance with Kairi. He couldn't believe Roxas wrote this song for them! It was really different from his usual stuff, but it was good all the same. Namine was enjoying herself with Riku and looking up at her boyfriend with pride every once in a while, as was Sora. You've done good, Roxas.

"Put your hands up!" Roxas instructed, knowing that this was how he originally imagined it when he was writing. Surprisingly, some people followed the order. He lifted his own hands above his head as he sang once more, a smile on his face. "We the life of the party. We don't stop, we go hard! So everybody lift up your cup, and throw your hands up, and make it special! Tonight, there's something special happenin' here. I feel it comin' in the air," he continued, lowering his hands to sit on the microphone. He really loved this---performing, feeling the chills run down his spine, the reactions from the crowd. It was fantastic.

Hope waited by the shore, standing near the water as it rolled up and nearly touched his dress shoes. Of course, he wouldn't let that happen; these shoes were expensive, and if his mother were still around, she would have scolded him for getting them wet. The music entered his ears, and occasionally he would nod his head to it. He barely knew Roxas, but now he knew that the guy could sing...well. He also knew that Lightning was coming soon, and he was nervous. He hadn't seen her in so long... What would she think of him now?

Lightning thought she saw a person further down the beach, just standing there. What, some wandered wedding guest? she thought in confusion, looking over at Snow. The person was dressed nice enough to attend the wedding, from what she could see. She still didn't recognize him though. Were Snow and Serah leading her to him or past him? She was confused as to what this surprise was.

Riku managed to break away from the crowd, having looked over and seen Snow's tall figure leaving the wedding scene. He silently excused himself when Namine was dancing partially with Kairi and Sora, which was the perfect opportunity. He got away from the crowd as Roxas wrapped up the song, quietly following behind as Snow and Serah led Lightning away. What, was she upset or something? Did he leave her side for too long?

Roxas finished up the last lyric, clapping his hands as he looked back at the band members and smiled. They were doing great! And of course, he couldn't have done it without them. The music finally stopped and Roxas turned to face the crowd, hearing applause immediately. He blinked. Was...was it that good?

Namine cheered for Roxas, beaming at his expression. Why did he look so surprised: He did great! She had never heard him write anything like that before! And he performed it with such confidence too!

Lightning noticed as they got closer to the figure that he had familiar silver hair. Her steps slowed as her confused eyes went from that person to Serah. "Is that..." she asked in confusion, though Serah only smiled instead of giving a response. So she shifted her gaze to the taller man beside her. That can't be who I think it is. That's impossible. Right?

Roxas chuckled into the microphone, rubbing the back of his head as he nodded to everyone. "Heh, thanks!" he said, seeing Kairi clap her hands for him. He only had one more song for everyone, but it was one he held dear to him. He did write it for Namine, after all.

Snow looked down at Lightning, putting a hand on her shoulder as he lifted his arm in a wave to the person down by the beach. "Hey, Hope!" he called, catching the boy's attention. "Light's here to see ya!"

Hope smiled, his eyes finding Serah's sister. Lightning, he thought in joy. He hadn't seen her in so long! He lifted a hand and waved at his friend, still kind of shy. He hadn't grown up that much.

Hope. No way, Lightning thought in disbelief. But if she didn't recognize him by appearance, she recognized his mannerisms. That wave was definitely a wave he would do. She shrugged out of Snow's hand now that they were closer, the young woman and the other two within a few feet of Hope. She held her shoes in one hand as she stepped up in front of the young man who was just as tall as her, her eyes showing disbelief as she studied him. I know you're sixteen now, but you're not supposed to have grown up that much.

Riku watched from a distance as Lightning was reunited with Hope, the young boy she went on a journey with a few years ago. Behind him, he heard Roxas declare that there was only one more song, but at the moment, Riku was more focused on the woman he loved. He couldn't see her face, but judging by Hope's, she was most likely stunned into silence.

"Heh," Hope laughed weakly, seeing the way Lightning studied him. "Long time, no see, Light." She looked great, not that she didn't before. But it had been a little while since he'd seen her last.

"No kidding," Lightning agreed, stunned. "I'm wondering what they feed you on Gran Pulse." She smirked, starting to recover from the initial shock of it all. This little kid she took under her wing was becoming a young man. She lifted her free hand and flicked his nose like she used to, her eyes happy. Even just seeing him now for thirty seconds showed her how well he was doing. He rose from the ashes of adversity, like she did. She was proud of him.
"Ow!" Hope cried, bringing a hand to his nose briefly. "Hey!" He laughed despite his cries, realizing that Lightning hadn't change a bit. She still had her old ways, like flicking him in the nose for no apparent reason. He was focusing on Lightning so much he didn't know that her boyfriend, Riku, was smirking yards away, watching the exchange. Hope of course hadn't forgotten about him. How could he? He affected Lightning's life in a lot of ways, and for the better too.

Lightning smiled in joy, seeing that even though Hope grew up physically he was still the same boy that she took under her wing. She dropped her shoes into the sand and embraced him without caring that Snow and Serah were here. Hope was like a little brother; of course she was going to show that she was glad to see him. She didn't know when this chance would come again. Good to see you again, kid. Hope.
Hope was a little surprised with the embrace, much like he was with one in the past. Lightning...didn't give hugs often. He looked at her briefly before wrapping his arms around her as well, holding her gently. He smiled though, happy to see her. It had been too long.

Shut up Snow, Lightning mentally thought, either hearing him snicker or imagining it. She was a little more sappy than she was in the old days, but he'd have to deal with it. She pulled back from the embrace after a few moments, moving her hands to his shoulders as she studied him again. "You've grown up," she said dumbly, stating the obviously.
"Uhh," Hope looked down at himself, smiling a little. "Growth spurt is more like it." Of course, he couldn't control it much. Things like that just happened. He was taller than Light now. "Either that, or you're just shrinking." He chuckled a little, waiting for her response. It was bound to be good.

Lightning rolled her eyes in good nature. "I'm not getting that old," she said with a smirk, tempted to flick Hope's nose again at that comment. She was only twenty-two, though she was going to be twenty-three soon enough. But even if Hope said it was just a growth spurt, she knew it was more than that. He had changed mentally since she saw him last. He was more confident. That confidence radiated from him.
"Old or not," Riku said, stepping forward and attracting attention to himself, "I think you're just short." He shrugged a little, a smirk on his face as Snow chuckled at his words. Lightning wasn't the tallest person in the world, so it didn't matter whether Hope went through a growth spurt or not. Riku was just glad he was taller than her; people never questioned their difference in age because of it, which he liked, and he felt he could protect her better that way.

Light took a hand off Hope's shoulder, turning halfway around to see Riku standing within a few yards. She was surprised that he was here; she had assumed that he was still at the party. Regardless, she'd ask him about it later. "Thanks for the support, Riku," she said sarcastically as she rolled her eyes. But she really wasn't short; she was average height for being a woman.
"Any day, babe," Riku replied, crossing his arms over his chest. His jacket was gone now, the heat from the sun being too much for him when he was wearing sleeves. He actually rolled the sleeves of his shirt up to his elbow so he was more comfortable, and he could see Lightning took off her shoes for the same reason. Roxas was singing behind him, but Riku didn't think he needed to be there for the third song. He danced with Namine and got her with her friends, like Roxas asked. Now, he was spending time with his beloved and her family.

Light heard Serah coo at the pet name, and Lightning winced as she looked over at her sister. "Don't do that," she said, her voice jokingly intimidating. "You'll encourage him." She was still tough in the eyes of those around her, and she liked to keep it that way. But Riku calling her "babe" and having Serah coo at the cuteness wasn't exactly helping with her tough-girl persona. Oh well; she supposed she lost that reputation earlier that day when she was dancing in Riku's arms.
Riku smirked even more as Snow and Hope laughed. Encouraged or not, Riku was going to call Light what he wanted. She was his, after all. And he knew that deep down she loved the pet names. They made her feel special.

"Oh, I don't think he needs any encouragement from us," Serah said sweetly, teasing her big sister. "You seem encouraging enough, especially when you brought yourself closer during the first dance..."

Lightning blinked, surprised that Serah was the one teasing her for that. Serah hardly ever picked at any of Lightning's softer moments just because she didn't want to strike a nerve. But both of them had changed. Light was softer and Serah was more bold. "Snow's rubbing off on you, I see," she said, looking to the guilty husband. Snow must have made Serah a more bold person than before.

Snow shrugged, wrapping his arm around Serah. "She learns from the best, yeah?" he looked down at his wife and smiled. He was proud of her, of course. She was strong, and bold, since she had to be. "She's gotta be tough on those kids back home." Since she started teaching, it was kind of required.

Lightning's eyes widened drastically. "Kids?" she sputtered. She didn't miss out on something, did she? No, that was impossible; she had seen Serah within the past nine months. No way did she go around and have babies while Light wasn't around. And at Lightning's reaction, Serah just burst into laughter, too much to even speak through.
