Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku kept his hand on Lightning's knee, looking over at it before lifting his eyes to her. He would have to tell the others he was leaving, since he didn't know how long he would be gone. If Sora and Kairi came back without knowing where he was, he would be doomed the second he got back home. He had to at least be responsible in that sense.

"Well," Serah said as she rose to her feet. "I'm going into town and stocking up on potions." And getting a weapon. "Don't try to leave without me." Before either Lightning or Riku could protest, she left the room and the house. She certainly inherited Lightning's stubbornness.
Riku took his hand back from Lightning's knee as Serah left the house, silence falling over the room. Well, that could have been worse, he thought. But what were they going to do? He didn't have any could intel on Caius yet, so he couldn't analyze his battle tactics. And his Darkness was a different kind of Darkness than Riku was familiar with, so that let on a whole other set of problems.

Lightning sighed, leaning back into the couch and lifting a hand to her forehead. Well this wasn't going nicely. Why did Serah have to be so stubborn? She shut her eyes, trying to fight the anxiety that was already creeping up in her heart. "So," she started softly. "When can we leave?"
"I need to go speak with the others," Riku started lowly, staring at his hands as he rested his elbows on his knees. "Tell them what's up." He wouldn't reveal any details, of course, but it would be enough for them not to question him. Lightning's problem or not, Riku would be there, with Keyblade in hand.

Light nodded and leaned forward as well, glaring halfheartedly at the ground. "That'll give me some time to figure out how to ditch Serah," she said softly. She already figured how they'd get to Valhalla, sort of. It wouldn't be pleasant but this was how things had to be for now. All the happiness from yesterday was long gone now.
Riku released a small sigh, closing his eyes for a moment. Sora, Kairi...he called silently. I'm sorry for doing this. But he had to go. He opened his eyes and leaned over, pecking Lightning on the cheek. "I'll be back soon," he said, then rising to his feet. He would need to find everyone, though he figured they were on the beach. It wouldn't take long.

Again Lightning nodded softly, though she had to bite her tongue not to say the words she wanted to spill. I'm sorry. It was the day after his best friends were wed and now they were going on a life-threatening journey. It wasn't fair that she took away his happiness like this. Nothing about this was fair.
Riku left the house without another word, knowing that he would have to say goodbye to his friends for a while. He wasn't sure how long it would be, but he was sure this would take more than a few days. He would leave the responsibility of telling Sora and Kairi what was going on to Roxas and Namine, since they were closest with the couple. Whatever was going on, Riku had to prepare himself mentally. This wasn't going to be easy.

Serah made it back before Riku, unfortunately. Lightning wasn't overly surprised by it, though it did add stress to this situation that was already driving her crazy. Apparently Serah didn't understand just how much stress this put this under, because she wasn't shy about starting another argument with Lightning when she came back. Light sat on the couch and was studying her gunblade while Serah continued trying to pick a fight.

"I don't understand why you don't trust me more," Serah said in a raised voice as she glared at Lightning. "You raised me. You know that I'm strong like you are. You always begged for your chance to prove people wrong and now it's my time. Why won't you let me?"

"Because it's going to be Hell."

"Then I won't let you go through Hell alone. Whether I have to grab onto you and never let go, I'm coming with you. You can't leave me out of your battles any longer."

"Choose another day to get involved in my battles. This isn't your fight." Finally, Lightning looked up at Serah. "Be glad I'm even letting Riku come along. It's going to be that dangerous. No way am I letting you come when the stakes are this high."

Riku walked into the house just as he heard his name, though he didn't interrupt. He had some supplies for everyone, even Serah. He knew that Lightning wouldn't get through to her, unfortunately. She would be coming along, but he trusted her to try and hold her own. She was like Kairi in that way, he guessed.

"I don't care about the stakes, and I don't care about getting your permission," Serah said, stopping right in front of Lightning. Even if the latter was sitting, Serah stared down at her with intimidating eyes. "I'm coming."

Lightning furrowed her eyebrows and stood up, having just enough room to do that. "No," she said lowly. "You're not." She glared right back at Serah, both of their eyes fiery with anger. This fight was going to escalate quickly if there wasn't an intervention. And that kind of fight was the last thing she wanted right now.

"Lightning," Riku called, standing in the doorway. He doubted the two would get physical, but the fight couldn't get anymore heated than it already was. He glanced from his beloved to Serah and then back again, a bag of supplies in his hand. They needed to get going, or at least figure out a plan. The argument would have to wait.

Both Farrons looked over at Riku with furrowed eyebrows, looking very much alike at that moment. Lightning stepped past Serah and headed over to Riku, stuffing her weapon back in its case before she stopped in front of him. She had a lot she wanted to say right now, but the biggest thing she wanted to do was apologize. She hated throwing him into this fight along with her. And she hated even more that Serah was going to come along and be his burden as well.
Riku gazed at the person before him, lifting the bag in his hand slightly. "I picked up some supplies...for all of us," he said. He glanced at Serah. "Looks to me like we're all going." He wasn't too happy about it, since he was protective of Serah too, but there was nothing he or Lightning could do. He looked to his beloved. "If we're going to leave, we need to make sure we have a plan."

Light nodded softly, looking at Riku's chest rather than meeting his eyes. "We'll go through the Twilight Realm to the Realm of Darkness," she said quietly. "I'm sure there's a gateway to Caius there." He said the place they were to fight in was called Valhalla. Well she had done some research a while ago and Valhalla was a place of death. Obviously it was connected to the Realm of Darkness if that was true.
Riku didn't like either Realm, but he nodded nonetheless. "Alright," he said softly. He looked at Lightning for another moment before stepping past her, approaching Serah. "Take what you need," he told her lowly, serious with Serah for the first time. Whatever she needed from the bag, she could take. He and Lightning would take the rest.

"I already have a bunch," Serah reminded him, picking up the bag she set by the couch. She bought potions, ethers, and even a tent for them to rest in. She had more than enough potions for herself already, so Riku and Lightning could have the rest. At least they recognized that she was coming along now.
Riku nodded. "Do you have a weapon?" he asked. If not, he would try his best to get her one. Clearly Serah was coming, and even if she did have magical abilities, they wouldn't be enough. Especially in the Realm of Darkness.

Serah shook her head in silence. No, she didn't have a weapon. She wasn't able to find one that she liked in town. "I'd be more comfortable just using spells," she said honestly. As a former l'cie, she had an unlimited access to magic. She'd be okay.
"We'll see how that works out," Riku stated, setting his bag down on the couch. "If you still need one after a while, I'll find you one." He wasn't sure where he would get one in the Realm of Twilight or Darkness, but he would get one for Serah. Her survival was very important, especially to Lightning. He would make sure she was safe. Riku turned his head to look at his beloved. "Do you have anything you need to do before we go?"

Lightning was only half paying attention, and because her back was to Riku, she assumed that he was talking to Serah for some reason. She was thinking about how this was going to go down. All that she could do was plan on how to get to Caius. Once they were there, there was no way she could plan to face him. How could she when she knew absolutely nothing about him? Actually, that wasn't true. She knew he was strong. And deadly.

Riku lifted an eyebrow slightly. "Light," he called softly. Was she not paying attention? What was she even thinking about? A plan, maybe...hopefully. They didn't really have anything set in stone except to travel through the Realm of Twilight and Darkness.

Light snapped out of her thoughts, realizing then that the question had been directed at her. "There's nothing I need to do," she said without turning around. "Let's go." She started towards the front door without waiting for a response. They'd have to take a Gummi ship to Twilight Town to get to the Twilight Realm, so that was step one of this plan. Maybe she'd come up with more later.
Riku allowed Serah to go ahead of him, the young man grabbing his supplies and making his way out of the house. He wasn't sure what awaited them, but he knew it couldn't be good. Caius was deadly, and Riku was nervous about meeting him again. Would any of them be strong enough to face him?
