Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

A little while later

Lightning had known what to expect from her last time in this Realm, but she still wasn't a fan of the Twilight Realm or passing out when the first entered it. She was reminded of the last time she was here, and how she nearly lost herself. Would she still be wolf-like mentally now that she was back in that form, or was she herself? As the wolf-Lightning rose to her feet, she realized how in tune she was with all of her own thoughts. She was still herself thank goodness.

Serah was warned about what this Realm was like, but she was still surprised to wake up as a white wolf. The mark on her forehead was the same as the shape that was her engagement necklace, not that she knew that. She tried to stand up slowly, knowing that she couldn't hold Riku and Lightning back.

Riku was already walking around, sniffing the ground as he tried to gather any scents. Anything that would warn them of enemies, at least. And so far, the coast was clear. He was back in his wolf form, the silver coat covering him as the mark of the sun rested on his head, a sign of the path he had chosen years ago. He heard movement nearby, and he figured Lightning and Serah were finally awake. He knew he had some time to kill still, since Serah still needed to learn how to move around. Sniffing the area out wouldn't take long.

Lightning walked past Riku, knowing that the immediate area was safe. It was just something that she could sense. She'd go further on ahead and do some scouting while Serah got used to her new form. It would take two days to get through the Realm, if she remembered correctly. They'd have to stop for the night somewhere. She kept her tail between her legs as she walked, still avoiding looking at Riku because of the guilt and sadness she felt concerning him.
Riku lifted his head slightly when Lightning passed him, looking after her for a moment. However, he went back to sniffing the ground. No signs of Darkness here, no enemies... He approached Serah, his head held high now. "You getting the hang of it, Serah?" he asked gently. He knew how difficult it was for him and his friends in the past.

"Getting there," Serah responded, taking a small step forward with one of her paws. She'd be moving slowly for a little while, but she'd get the hang of it eventually. She looked in the direction Lightning went, seeing her get smaller in the distance. Her sister refused to talk to her since the argument. Serah was beginning to wonder whether coming along was a mistake or not.
Riku followed Serah's gaze, seeing that Lightning was distancing herself...physically and mentally. He turned back to Serah, deciding it was best to help her out rather than abandon her to chase after Lightning. Lightning knew how this Realm worked; she could hold her own until they caught up.

Serah practiced walking around a bit more, getting the hang of it after a little bit of time. Yet even after that time, Lightning didn't come back. "I'm worried about her," Serah finally said once she and Riku were walking in the necessary direction. Lightning was so far gone that she wasn't even in their sights anymore. Was she trying to abandon them and face Caius alone?
"She'll be alright," Riku said, though he was trying to convince himself as well. "She knows how this Realm works. She won't do anything reckless." At least, he hoped not. If she did that, facing Caius wouldn't even happen. Lightning wouldn't risk it.

Serah shook her furry head softly. "I think she's trying to ditch us." She'd rather face Caius without Riku if it meant that she could leave Serah behind as well, or so she figured. Lightning was showing her heart again. No matter how tough she came across, she cared deeply for the ones she loved. Especially Serah.
Riku's eyes narrowed, a low growl leaving him at the thought. "She better not," he said. If she did, he would track her down. His senses were heightened here, so catching her would be easier. If she tried to leave without him, he wouldn't hesitate showing his anger. Lightning knew that.

Serah glanced over at Riku at the growl. He may have been angry, but she was mostly scared. "We should run," she said. Without waiting for a response, she picked up her pace to go at a jog. It was hard not tripping over her feet, but she figured that maybe if she eased her way into a run, it'd be easier for her. Lightning, where are you?
Riku caught up to Serah, but he moved faster, getting slightly ahead of her as he used his senses to try and track down Lightning. Finding her scent was easy, and he led the way as he followed it. Lightning better not have tried to ditch them; the fact that she allowed herself this much distance ticked Riku off. She couldn't be reckless now, or any time. It was dangerous.

Serah felt a drop of rain on her nose after a few minutes of jogging. She glanced up at the sky and saw just how dark it was as another drop fell. It was starting to rain. Even Serah knew that the rain was a good way to cover up Lightning's scent. She grunted and tripped over her own legs when she was distracted, sliding along the ground a little bit before awkwardly stopping. She knew it was bound to happen sooner or later, even if they couldn't afford for it to occur.
Riku stopped a few feet ahead, turning his head as he glanced back at Serah. "Serah," he barked. Was she okay? He couldn't lose Lightning's scent to the rain, but he couldn't leave Serah either. The monsters that lurked here were dangerous; Lightning would kill him for leaving her alone.

Serah slowly picked herself up off the ground, taking a step on one of the legs that she twisted. She whined softly at the pain, knowing she couldn't run like this. She shut her eyes and summoned a Cure spell, feeling it wash over her entire body. "I'm fine," she said, starting to walk and then jog again. "Let's go." They had to find Lightning.
Riku moved with Serah at her pace, though he led the way again. The scent he had been following was lessening in strength, which meant the rain was washing away Lightning's path. Riku peered through the rain as they ran, trying to follow it the best he could. Lightning...where are you?

Lightning hadn't meant to separate herself from Riku and Serah necessarily, not in the way of abandoning them. But once she was a good distance away, she realized that she could do it. The rain that started falling once she was far away only encouraged her to run faster and faster so that they wouldn't catch her. If she lost them here, they wouldn't be able to follow her to Caius. They'd be safe...Yet eventually, Lightning found herself slowing down. She didn't truly want to abandon them even if it was for their own good. At the end of the long day of running, she ducked into a cave, built a fire, and waited. She knew Riku and Serah would come soon enough and find her here.
Riku thought he smelled smoke over the rain after a while, and he motioned for Serah to follow him as he took a turn past some rocks. Sure enough, there was a glow coming from a cave. He slowed his pace as he approached, cautious since he didn't know who could be waiting inside. But the scent he caught onto when he was close enough proved that it was the person they were looking for. Lightning.

Lightning rose to her feet when she saw two people at the mouth of the cave not too far away from her. She immediately recognized them, and she was sure that they recognized her. It took them about two hours to find her here, but they arrived. She looked at both of them in silence, knowing she wouldn't get a second chance to abandon them again. Yet still...she waited for them. She set herself up to be found.
A growl left Riku immediately upon seeing the familiar wolf, his teeth showing as he marched inside the cave. "Lightning," he growled in fury. What was she thinking, running off like that? She could have been hurt! Didn't she realize that he was worried sick?

Lightning stayed where she was, fighting hard not to let her ears press down against her head in guilt. She heard Serah growling right along with Riku, though she was keeping her distance. "I was waiting for you," she said dumbly. That was true, but it was also true that she tried to abandon them for a long time.
"Liar," Riku snapped, his growl still rumbling through his chest. He stopped near Lightning, his eyes narrowed in anger. "You tried to ditch us." That not only hurt, but infuriated him. She should have known that wouldn't work. Ever. Riku was with her, always.

Lightning took a small step back as one of her ears twitched. Of course Riku wasn't going to let the matter drop; she hadn't expected him to. Or Serah for that matter, but at least Serah wasn't in her face. Her unreadable blue eyes stayed locked onto Riku as she fell silent. Yeah, I tried to ditch you. ...Sorry.

"How could you be so stupid?!" Riku barked, his tone showing his fury as he took a step toward Lightning. "You worried us sick!" He ignored the water that dripped from his fur, instead letting his teeth show as he growled at Lightning. "If you try that again, I swear I'll...." He didn't know what he would do, but it wouldn't be pretty. Lightning should have known better.

Lightning looked down, seeing Riku's nose nearly touching hers with how close he was. She took a few steps back away from him and turned away so that he wouldn't see the look in her eyes. Don't you get it? she wanted to say. I was doing it to protect you. I don't want to lose either of you... She couldn't continue living if she lost either of them.
