Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

When Lightning walked past Serah, she at least put a hand on her sister's shoulder briefly. That was the most interaction they had since their big argument before they left. She wasn't sure what the message was, but at least it showed that Lightning still recognized her as a sister. It was better than nothing. Lightning dragged her feet as they walked, looking around as they did. There weren't enemies, and she imagined that it was because Caius wanted her fighting him as quickly as possible. "I studied Valhalla a little in the past," she said as they walked. "Apparently time doesn't flow like it should there. ...So one day there could be a month here." Or something even more dramatic.
"Meaning...?" Riku prodded gently, walking behind Lightning as he gazed at her. What did she imply with what she said? If they got separated, time would flow differently for them? He didn't plan on getting separated anytime soon, so he hoped that wasn't what she was getting at. Riku knew Lightning didn't want him to come along, or Serah, but they weren't getting split up now.

Lightning turned around, standing still as she gazed at both Riku and Serah. "Meaning it could be a long time till your friends and family see you again," she said softly, shifting her gaze to Serah at the mention of family. She was married to Snow now. If she went through to Valhalla, there was no telling what time she'd arrive back. Riku too, since his friends were like his family.
Riku lowered his gaze to the ground, eyebrows furrowing. That....didn't sound too appealing. Sora and Kairi would be back from their honeymoon in a few days, and he told the others he wouldn't be gone that long. Well, looks like I'm going back on my word.

"...There's still time to turn back," Light said softly. She had to go on, but Riku and Serah didn't. The latter seemed to be considering it. After all, she hadn't told Snow a single thing about going off to a fight. He was probably already wondering where his wife was since Serah said she'd only be gone a day.
Riku knew that leaving his friends would hurt, but...leaving the person he loved would feel worse. "...No," he said, shaking his head as he closed his eyes. He was staying with Lightning. It felt right that way. He lifted his gaze to the one he cherished, expression holding seriousness. "...I'm with you the whole way."

Light kept her eyes on Riku, noticing out of the corner of her eye that Serah was still thinking. For this moment though, her focus was the one she loved romantically. She walked back to him and lightly laced her arms around his neck before she kissed him gently on the lips, not backing away immediately. The kiss said that she was both sorry and thankful.
Riku was slightly surprised by the affection, but he returned it in the silence. After a moment he pulled back, holding Lightning close as he embraced her. He would protect her, no matter what. She had to have known that. Caius would be tough, but Riku would do his best to help. He had to.

Lightning embraced Riku gently, resting her head on his shoulder. It was because of this position that her sight landed on her sister. Just looking at her expression, Light knew that her sister didn't change her mind. She was sad about not being with Snow for a while but she accepted it. She gently pulled back one of her arms from Riku and opened it up to her sister for a group hug. As Serah came over and hugged both her and Riku, Lightning knew that both of them said their silent apologies and forgave each other for the fight the other day. All was well, at least with the relationship of the sisters.
Riku moved one of his arms to go around Serah as well. He knew that this moment was very important to Lightning; she was holding two people she loved most in the worlds, when she didn't know when the time would come again. Riku squeezed both girls, hiding his face behind Lightning's head from Serah. He wouldn't let Serah see his fear of the future. The unpredictable scared Riku, and with Caius, that was exactly how things were.

Lightning kissed the side of her sister's head, just to further emphasize that she loved her sister dearly despite the fighting that took place recently. She looked past Serah and saw something--a large space-time distortion that was orange and black. "There," she said suddenly. She released Riku and Serah, the latter following her lead and looking at the rift. That was the path to Valhalla. Did it appear just now? Or had it been there all along?
Riku tilted his head, lifting an eyebrow. "What's that?" he asked lowly. It was foreign; he had never seen anything like it. But he couldn't back out now, not after telling Lightning he was with her. It wasn't like he would let something like that stop him anyway.

"I...don't know," Lightning confessed, taking only two steps closer to it. But... "But this is the way to Valhalla. There's no doubt in my mind." She was certain it wasn't there before; she would have noticed it. The orange did stand out, after all. But why would it appear after a group hug? ...Did Caius want her to say a sort of goodbye to her friends here? Was there some kind of compassion within him?
Riku's eyebrows furrowed at that. Well, he guessed it was time to go then. "...Ready if you are," he said, speaking to both Lightning and Serah. It was now or never, he supposed. There was a reason this...way to Valhalla appeared to them, so they needed to take it.

Lightning shut her eyes briefly, but then nodded in agreement. "Everyone hold hands," she said softly as she moved to stand on the other side of Serah and grabbed her hand. "Serah, you're in the middle." That was all that she could think to do in order to protect her sister. "We can't get separated here. The flow of time..." She didn't even bother finishing her sentence; they all knew what she was saying anyway.
Riku grasped Serah's other hand, silently looking from Lightning to the path ahead of them. Right, he thought. He knew what she was going to say, and if they got separated in the flow of time, it wouldn't be good. Not in the slightest.

Lightning looked over and met Riku's eyes. They still held fear, but more determination and bravery than they had last night. She could do this. She had to do this. As the three of them started forward, she kept a grip on Serah's hand but was mostly focused on the distortion. They were right in front of it, right about to go through, when suddenly--

"Kupo!" Mog cried, appearing out of nowhere right in front of Serah.

Serah squealed in surprise, already on edge because of the whole situation. In her startledness, she ripped her hand out of Lightning's and lifted it to her lips. As soon as she did, she realized her awful mistake. "No!" she screamed, looking past Mog and seeing Lightning disappear into the distortion. The look on her sister's face was surprised but also showed that she registered what happened: They just got separated.

"Light!" Riku cried, but just like that, she was gone. His hand still held Serah's as he watched the person he loved disappear, a small grunt leaving him. The gate remained, but there was no way for them to reach Lightning now. They...were split up, just as he feared.

Mog didn't seem to realize what an awful thing he just did. He floated in front of Serah with a wand in his hand. "I'm here to help, Kupo!" He was here to help her against Caius! The leader of his people told him to come, so he did. Wasn't she glad to see him?

"You just did the opposite of help!" Serah cried. "Lightning's gone!" She shifted her gaze to Riku then while Mog seemed to calculate what he did. "We have to go through, now!" The time flow was different, but she was only gone ten seconds if that. Not too much time could have passed for her right?

Riku's grip on Serah's hand tightened, aware that she could be reckless with her urgency. "Serah, wait..." he said, looking from her to the moogle, and then to the gate. Lightning was gone, and in a different time by now. "The time flow...It could be totally different by the time we get in." Lightning would be somewhere else.

"The goddess is on your side, kupo," Mog said to Serah. "She wants you to fight with Lightning as soon as you can. But Caius--" He squirmed at the man's mention. "He'll want to interfere, kupo."

Serah was quiet for a moment, but only because of confusion. "I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about," she told the floating moogle. A goddess? A goddess wanting her to fight alongside Lightning? Regardless, now wasn't the time for questions. "The sooner we get in, the sooner we get to Lightning," she said to Riku. "I think. Let's go."

"Worth a shot," Riku said, nodding to Serah before looking to the moogle. "You coming?" The moogle seemed like it was tagging along. It was "here to help" after all. Riku would take what help he could get, since they would need it at this rate. Especially since Lightning was gone...and alone.

"Kupo!" Mog exclaimed, that being his response. Yes of course he was coming along. After all, he was here to help Serah. Caius was a bad man, but hopefully the two sisters would be able to defeat him. From what he heard, they were the universe's only hope. He grabbed onto Serah's shoulder as the girl started forward, going into the distortion while holding onto Riku's hand tightly.

Riku stepped in with Serah, and that was when he was blinded by light. It reminded him a lot of the time he walked through the Door to Light alongside Sora, but this wasn't the same, not even close. As soon as they stepped through and the light faded away, his hand was out of Serah's and the wind was whipping his hair. He opened his eyes, and that was when he saw himself free-falling. "Whoa!" he grunted, eyes widening in shock. What was going on?!

Mog heard Serah's yelp of surprise, along with Riku's exclamation. "Time for some moogle magic, kupo!" he cried quickly as he fell along with them, even if he could fly. He waved his wand and looked to the right, seeing the eidolon Bahamut appear. He scooped Serah and Riku right up, flying above the rest of the city. It looked uninhabited, not that Mog was surprised. This was a world of death.

Serah gripped the back of Bahamut instinctively, though she had never actually seen the eidolon before. "What?" she breathed, her heart still racing from the fear of falling. She looked over the city, somehow believing it was...familiar. Empty, grey buildings...random, green towards...sandy shores. There wasn't any sign of life, either. Was this Valhalla?
