Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku held onto the eidolon, recognizing it from the past encounters with Lightning's friend Fang. But...he was confused. "Valhalla?" he questioned aloud, looking around in surprise. The gate led them straight here, so that had to mean Lightning was here too, right? Riku hoped so...but he feared how much time had passed.

"Valhalla, kupo," Mog nodded. "The home of the goddess." This was where Etro resided. She was the goddess who protected all the worlds, whether people recognized her or not. She was a good goddess according to all the moogles. She granted them the use of magic a long time ago.

Riku looked over at Mog, surprised he was actually right. If this was Valhalla, Lightning had to be here. This was their goal the entire time, wasn't it? He heard a roar to his left and looked over, eyebrows furrowing when he saw creatures advancing in on them. "We've got company," he said. He didn't know who was causing this, but the Darkness he sensed was enough to let him know they were powerful.

Mog held onto Serah's shoulder as the girl moved a little closer to Riku instinctively. "It's Caius, kupo!" he cried, seeing the larger and darker Chaos Bahamut that had roared at them. Caius was very dangerous. Even Bahamut realized this and was flying faster and lower, towards the beach instead of the city. He was getting defensive and a fight hadn't even begun.

"Ah, great," Riku said, sarcastic. As soon as they enter the world, they're ambushed? Like this is fair. Riku saw that Bahamut was making a break for the safest area, but even Riku knew that wasn't going to be enough. "Stay down," he told Serah, rising to his feet steadily. There were creatures coming after them that could fly, and his Keyblade came to his hand instantly. Looks like we're gonna have to fight our way through.

Serah stayed down like Riku told her, but at that moment, she realized that she was doing what she always did: She was hiding behind other people so that they would fight and she didn't have to. That wasn't an option anymore. You're Lightning's sister. Prove it. A faint blue glow surrounded her as she kept one hand on Bahamut, now in a Ravager paradigm. She could fight too.
Riku braced himself when he saw a monster come toward him, and he swung it away, striking it with his blade. Bahamut roared at the interference, but Riku couldn't help it; he was doing the eidolon a favor, after all. He swung at another, sending off a Dark Aura spell to hinder some. There were so many; he doubted he could take them all on his own.

Serah sent fireballs out of her right palm, all of them managing to strike at least some part of the flying creatures. She didn't have much experience, but knowing that her sister was here in this place somehow made her feel strong. She looked behind her quickly, seeing a creature with blue wings flying towards Riku's back. "Duck!" she cried quickly, standing up and dragging Riku down to a kneeling position with her as the monster flew over their heads.
Riku grunted at the tug, kneeling beside Serah as he lifted his head. He saw the creature fly past them, and he couldn't believe his eyes. "This is madness," he said. What in the world was going on? It was Caius, even Mog said so. But...why was he doing this?!

Serah kept a hold on Riku's arm, looking around and seeing the monsters flying everywhere and pursuing them. "It's an all-out war," she said. "Against us." The four of them, including Mog and Bahamut. The more she saw this, the more she feared for Lightning. How long ago did she get here? Where was she now? ...And what was that she saw out of the corner of her eye?
Riku looked around, but that was when he saw a beam coming towards them. He grunted, lifting his Keyblade in front of him as he called to a shield to surround him, Serah, and Mog. Unfortunately for Bahamut, his shield wasn't big enough. The beam struck the eidolon, which cried out in agony as he descended toward the beach. Riku tried to keep his footing on Bahamut, knowing he and Serah were too high to land safely. Why were they being ambushed? What did Caius have against them?

Serah cried out when Bahamut was hit, all of his passengers feeling the force of the blow even if they weren't struck. Her magic may have been strong, but she wasn't a seasoned warrior who could keep her balance. She was already kneeling awkwardly from pulling Riku down, so she lost her footing and fell towards the beach with a scream.
"Serah!" Riku cried, seeing his beloved's sibling fall to the earth. He grunted, jumping down after her as he summoned his blade away. He made sure to put his hands to his sides as he dived, that way he could catch up to her. Hold on, Serah.

Serah looked from Riku to the ground and then back again, reaching up a hand to try and grab him somehow. But it was too late; they had been flying too low. She grunted roughly when she fell onto the sandy shores of Valhalla, the sand lessening the damage and the pain but still not feeling good after such a high fall.
Riku saw the ground approaching quickly, and he ducked his chin at the last second, rolling once he hit the ground. He landed a few feet from Serah, stopping on his side. He grunted, spitting out some sand that had gotten into his mouth. Bahamut's roar didn't go undetected, however, the beast clearly in pain. Riku opened his eyes, but he froze when he saw a giant beast flying toward them. He instantly knew that was their enemy, or at least a form of it. What is that thing?

Serah lifted her tear-filled eyes to the sky, seeing the largest beast of them all flying down towards the sand. All the while, Mog (who she had nearly forgotten about) ducked behind her and kept on exclaiming "kupo" in fear. She rolled onto her side a little bit, seeing Riku out of the corner of her eye on the ground. There wasn't any time to worry about him or herself, not with the beast so close.
Riku ground his teeth together, pushing past his pain as he forced himself to his feet. He moved slowly, however, the wind knocked out of him. C'mon, he told himself. He couldn't back down now. He had to keep fighting. He had to protect Serah. He had to find Lightning! Riku summoned his Keyblade to him, stabbing it into the ground to help him to his feet as he looked up. The giant beast, much larger than Bahamut, hovered just near the shore, almost taunting them. He snarled in distaste, pulling his Keyblade out of the ground as he glared up at it. "What do you want?!" he hollered. Whose eidolon was this?

"It's Caius, kupo," Mog whispered, gripping Serah's shoulders tightly.

Serah blinked in surprise, looking from Mog to Riku and then to the beast called Chaos Bahamut. "That thing is Caius?" she repeated aloud. But...how was that even possible?! Lightning met a man before, not a beast. Or was there some part of the story she didn't understand?

Riku's eyes narrowed as he took a small step forward, studying the creature. He met Caius before...but not in this form. If this really was Caius...he was a lot stronger than Riku believed. "...No way."

Caius crossed his arms over the form of his Chaos Bahamut. So the boy didn't believe this to be him? He would see soon enough. Caius called upon his power, sending it away as he started to descend toward the shoreline. A black cloud surrounded him before fading, revealing him to be the man Riku remembered. It was then that he noticed the young man tense. Caius only smirked. "I was beginning to wonder when the two of you would arrive," he called. It had been a long year.

Serah propped herself up in the sand, starting to rise to her feet slowly. She couldn't take her eyes off the man, who certainly looked intimidating. "You're Caius?" she repeated, not sure what else to say. She had so many questions that it was hard to know where to begin. First off, he had been expecting them? What did that mean? Where was Lightning? And why was he attacking them when they didn't attack him first?
Caius nodded slightly, though his smirk never left his face. "And you must be Serah," he concluded. She certainly looked like the warrior, so that was his first clue. The second, he had been expecting them, much like he said. He knew this day would come...and that he would get to destroy them.

Serah's eyes widened when Caius knew who she was. That didn't seem like a good thing, considering how he was against Lightning in the past. "...What do you want with me? Where's my sister? What..." What's going on? She looked around only briefly before she looked back to Caius. He seemed like he was in a talkative mood now that they were on the ground, so maybe he'd actually answer some of her questions.

"He wants to kill us," Riku hissed, already knowing the truth. If the fact that they were attacked the moment they came through the gate wasn't Serah's first clue, this sure was. Caius looked over at him then, appearing to be almost proud of Riku's answer. It was obvious, wasn't it?

"Very good, Riku," Caius said. The young man's eyes narrowed upon Caius knowing his name as well, though it had really been no surprise. The warrior's loved ones would come after her; that was evident in the timeline. "But to answer your question," he said, looking back to Serah. "You have interfered with the timeline, and it is my job to deal with you. You will get in my way if I do not rid the world of you now."

"But I don't want to do anything like that," Serah said in confusion. "All I want is my sister back." Caius hadn't answered her question about Lightning. Apparently he had a reason for wanting to kill Serah, but it didn't make sense. When did she mess with the timeline? And why did Caius care so much if she did?

"And that is why our paths meet," Caius revealed. He reached behind him for his sword, pulling it from his back. "Your search for the warrior puts you in my way. That is why I must defeat you." He would, in order to do what he had to. He had to protect the timeline.

"Like that's gonna happen," Riku said, walking over and standing in front of Serah. "You want her? You go through me." He would be Serah's protector; Snow wasn't here, and neither was Lightning. It was his job now, and he wasn't afraid of the responsibility.

Caius's smirk grew, if that were possible. "As you wish," he said with the smallest of nods. But it would be an easy battle. The Keyblader would lose within moments.
