Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Serah wished at that moment that she had a weapon; it would be something to hold with her hands and help her feel a little braver. She bit down on her lip, glancing from Riku to Caius. She'd help in the fight in any way that she could, even if it was just being a medic. They had to fight him, even if Lightning was nowhere to be found.
Riku's grip tightened on his Keyblade as he held his ground, a staring competition occurring between him and Caius. It was like the man was waiting, and surely he was. Lightning...wherever you are, I'll do my best. I'll protect Serah with my life, he vowed. I promise. He grunted before sprinting toward Caius, lifting his weapon. Both blades clashed, and that was when the fight began.

Serah kept her distance during the fight, and she had a hard time sending any magic attacks at Caius because she feared hitting Riku. So she did the only thing that she could do: she continuously cured whatever wounds he had and cast a shield around him every now and then when he was defenseless. But she knew as it went on that it wasn't enough. Caius was extremely powerful.

Riku jumped back, lifting his free hand to his sword arm. He fought to catch his breath, and while Serah may have cured some of his injuries a few minutes ago, others were already dealt. Traces of blood and dirt covered his body, his clothes torn in places Caius's sword managed to reach. Riku gripped his arm as he breathed through his teeth, glaring at the man across from him. He had few wounds, if any. Riku was trying his hardest, using every spell he knew and every ability he could remember. But...the man was practically invincible. Riku grunted, sprinting forward before leaping into the air. "Caius!" he roared. He had to die!

Caius saw the boy coming for him, and he took a few steps back before leaping into the air himself. He flipped himself around, upside down as he met Riku's sword with his own. "Pathetic," he taunted. The Keyblader's attempts were useless. He grunted, forcing his blade against Riku's. The strength behind it was enough to send the young man toward the ground. Riku landed with a weak grunt in the sand, and Caius already knew the battle was over. The man landed gracefully on his feet a few yards from the young man, smirking. "That's all you've got, Keyblade Master? You're worse than the warrior."

Riku coughed, pushing himself up to rest on his elbow as he lifted his gaze to Caius. "...Lightning?" he grunted. She was the warrior....and that meant Caius had to have fought her. But...what happened to her?

Serah gasped at her sister's name, conflicted between asking yet again where she was and running to Riku. Riku seemed like the more pressing matter, so she started running over to his position. He just fought to protect her, after all. There was no way that she was just going to let him lay there while she asked Caius a hundred questions.

Riku briefly glanced at Serah when she was next to him, but he otherwise remained where he was. His eyes fell on Caius, who only smirked at them. "Where is she?!" he boomed.

Caius kept his sword in his grasp, though he gazed at the two before him with pity. "You came all this way for a hopeless cause," he declared. "Lightning is no longer within Valhalla's walls."

"What do you mean?" Riku managed, gripping his side. If Serah tried to heal him again, he would scold her; she needed to save her energy. Riku couldn't fight anymore; she would have to if things got ugly.

"I believe I've made it fairly clear, but if you insist..." Caius looked from Riku to Serah, his smirk turning into a dark smile. "I rid her of the timeline...permanently."

Serah knelt down by Riku, putting a hand on his unwounded shoulder naturally. Her wide blue eyes darted up to Caius at his last comment. "What? No. You're lying!" she quickly accused. There was absolutely no way that he killed Lightning! She and Riku followed less than a minute after her. She didn't care how the times flowed differently; there was no way he had the time to...kill her.

Caius only chuckled at the young woman's naivety. "How long do you believe it has been since Lightning departed the gate and you arrived?" he asked, actually surprised. Did they not know? "You two are far too late to save her. One year too late."

Riku grunted. A year?! No...no, it couldn't be. They were barely a minute behind! But Lightning even said something about the gate. The time flow...

Serah grunted as well, her hand tightening on Riku's shoulder. "That's...impossible," she gaped, though she herself wasn't convinced that was the case. Lightning said time flowed differently in Valhalla. So...even if she and Riku were right behind her, any amount of time could pass. Even a year. Enough time for Caius to...For Lightning to be.... No...
Riku groaned, trying to sit up a little more. "Damn you," he cursed, the words directed toward Caius. He would pay for this! He was supposed to protect Lightning! He was supposed to marry her, have a family with her... But Caius ruined it!

"Riku, he's lying!" Serah said softly, voice urgent. "He has to be! There's no way Lightning would be defeated by him." Riku just was beaten soundly, but...Caius and Lightning were fated rivals, right? She wouldn't go down that easily. There was no way that she was dead!

"I would not lie about something so important to boost my pride," Caius revealed, starting toward the two with tauntingly slow steps. "My word may not be much, but hear this: my words are truth. Lightning...is...dead."

Riku ground his teeth together, gripping his side as pain radiated through him. "Shut up!" he ordered. But...he could tell just by the way Caius was telling them that the man believed it. Lightning was...gone.

"Stay back!" Serah said quickly. She stepped over Riku, a blue hue surrounding her as she went into an offensive paradigm. She wasn't a warrior at all, but she was going to fight for Lightning's beloved like he fought for her. Even if it meant dying. If that was the end...she supposed she had a chance of being reunited with Lightning soon.
Caius couldn't help but laugh softly to himself. "Do your worst, Serah," he challenged, lifting his sword in front of him. If a battle was what she wanted, she should expect defeat. This would be too easy.

Serah didn't get the chance to "do her worst". There was another person in the area who could do her worst though. The warrioress called Rose appeared out of nowhere behind Caius, thrusting one of her two thin blades at the upper left side of his back without so much as a grunt to alert him of her presence. It wasn't often that she had the chance to sneak up on Caius Ballad. It was hard to be extremely stealthy when wearing this golden armor with red designs on it. But protection was necessary when facing this man.

Caius grunted, stumbling forward a small step at the pain that suddenly enveloped him. "Who...?" he tried, but he failed. He glanced down and saw the sword sticking out of his chest, blood on the blade. Blood that belonged to him.

Riku pushed himself back slightly in the sand, though he didn't get farther than a few inches. He didn't know who intervened, but they were female, that much he could tell. Caius was clearly their enemy as well.

Rose pulled out the first blade while also swinging the second at Caius's neck. He was taller than her but she didn't have a problem aiming for his neck. And she didn't have any problems being ruthless, either. After all that he did and all that he had planned to do, he eneded to perish at her blade.
Once the blade was out of Caius's chest, he swung around, bringing up his sword just in time to meet his new rival's. He parried the attack easily before leaping back, putting several yards between himself and the three fighters. "...You will regret this day," he growled to the one in armor. Whoever she was, she would not go ignored, nor would her actions. Caius summoned a gate behind him and entered it, fleeing the scene.

Rose nearly threw her weapon at the man, but then realized she couldn't afford for it to go through his rift. Caius escaped...for today. They had been battling ever since Lightning's death six months ago but he hadn't defeated her yet. Hopefully that day wouldn't come anytime soon. The young woman turned around to the two on the ground, wordlessly casting a powerful Cure spell over the both of them as she started back towards the city. If they were smart like she knew they were, they would follow her.
Riku felt his wounds become healed, the pain fading away. But that didn't exactly help the soreness...or the exhaustion. He pushed himself to his feet regardless, allowing his Keyblade to finally fade away. He didn't know how exhausted he was until now, the adrenaline finally wearing off. "Serah," he said weakly, reaching for her hand. They needed to go. Following this stranger was their only choice.

Serah grabbed Riku's hand, though she instinctively wrapped his arm around her shoulders. She didn't know what good that was going to do though, since he was so much taller than she was...Regardless, she looked back to the woman in armor. She could only see her eyes past the mask, and to her disappointment, they were green and not blue. That wasn't Lightning.
Riku started walking alongside Serah, allowing her to support him. He was tired...and weak, all of it caused by Caius. He was stronger than Riku thought he was, which didn't settle any worries he had. He followed the stranger in silence, closing his eyes as he hung his head slightly. So...Lightning's actually...he thought silently. She was gone.

"Riku," Serah said gently after a minute or two of walking. "...She wants us to go faster." The warrior had just turned and motioned for them to come more quickly. She was probably worried about Caius returning sometime. Serah was too, but she was mostly worried about Lightning. And now Riku, too. She couldn't believe Lightning was gone; it just...it just wasn't possible.
"...Right," Riku said softly. He started taking his arm away from Serah's shoulders, that way she could move faster. He may have been tired and weak, but he would move as fast as the warrior wanted him to go. She knew the area better, or so he assumed. "Go."

Serah hesitated moving on, and the warrior apparently wasn't going to wait around any longer. Rose walked back to the pair and offered Riku a bottle with a deep red liquid. For stamina, she silently thought to him. It would give him the energy to move at her pace to the safe haven. Hopefully the girl Serah could also keep up with the pace she was about to set.
